I have read this novel multiple times since discovering the series back in 2009. Yet, every single time that I have read it, I remember the reason that this is one of my favorite series. This novel kept my attention from very beginning, to the very end of the novel. There is so much action in this novel, so much adventure. At each page, it kept me wondering what’s going to happen with Pepper next. I loved her attitude, her dedication to case, no matter what. This is type of mystery novel that keeps you guessing till the very end, I love those type of novels.

 Don of the Dead
is the first book in Pepper Martin Series. Pepper Martin is a tour guide in cemetery in Cleveland, having got a job after her father goes to jail for Medicare fraud, her mom goes to Florida and her fiancée dumps her. While one on one of her tours, Pepper trips and hits her head on tombstone. Not long after her incident while doing another tour does Pepper come across Gus Scarpetti who she knows for fact was shot over 30 years ago. Trying to convince herself that she’s just hallucinating, she goes back to ER and the doctor reassures her that she’s okay. That’s where Pepper meets Dan, another doctor who seems really fascinated with her brain.

When Pepper finally realized that Gus is real, she begins to investigate, in attempt to figure who shot Gus all those years ago so that Gus can rest in peace. It’s during those investigations that she meets a cop; Quinn who tells Pepper to mind her own business, dealing with this is dangerous. However, as always, Pepper doesn’t listen and begin interviewing people who were around the time that Gus was alive. However not everyone is happy with all these questions, putting Pepper in danger.

I first came across this novel while volunteering at library in 2009. From the moment that I read the description, I knew that I would like this novel. I was right, I loved it. In beginning, I wasn’t sure if I really liked Pepper, she had that spoiled rich girl sort of attitude and she was pretty stubborn as well. I grew fond of her as the book progressed and I could tell that by end of the book, Pepper had changed, her attitude. Well maybe not towards the ghosts but in general, she seemed like a completely different person. Yet, I knew she was still stubborn, mostly because no matter how many times Quinn warned her, she still kept on going. Pepper seems the sort of girl who won’t let a guy tell her what to do and I like that about her. Even though Pepper complained a lot with Gus, I could tell that after time, she actually grew fond of him, even if he was from mob and a ghost.

Gus, now him I had mixed feelings about. I hated and loved him at same time. I hated him in beginning, in way that he treated and talk to Pepper and way he kept popping up at most unexpected times. I loved him, pretty much after he rescued Pepper, even though he didn’t do it for her, I knew that he did, I knew that he cared about her. That was confirmed in middle of book when he got upset, telling her that she wasn’t supposed get hurt, it was then I knew that he cared about her.

Quinn & Dan, I loved them both. Dan surprised more though, especially towards the end, I did not see him coming, I would never imagine him being able to do that. That was another thing that I loved about the book, there were a lot of unexpected twists. I loved the cliffhanger in the book, when I read the first time, it came as surprise because I had no idea it was series when I first read this novel. I couldn’t wait to read the next book. I would recommend this book to anyone who’s into ghosts and mysteries, it keep you guessing till very end. Pepper Martin is worth reading.

How to Save a Life was amazing and touching novel. I came across it while I was at library, getting some books. Actually the cover was what had attracted me first but after reading the description, I had the feeling that it’s kind of book I’ll love. I love books that deal with family, love, friendships. I was right, from moment I picked it up, I was finished within couple days. After this book, I’m planning on reading rest of Sara Zarr’s novels.

Jill’s life hasn’t been the same since her father’s death, she hasn’t been the same, she had distanced herself from her friends, telling them to leave her alone, and has strained relationship with her on and off boyfriend, Dylan. Jill is only months from graduation. When her mother announced that she’s adopting a baby, she’s completely against it. Especially when she finds that the baby’s mother will be staying with them till the baby arrives. Jill feel as if her mother is trying to replace her father with the baby, which makes her angry.

Mandy wants to get out of Omaha and comes to Denver, after arranging an open adoption with Robin, over the Internet. Mandy wanting a better life for her baby that she didn’t have and that she knows she can’t provide for her, but Robin can. When Mandy gets there, she realizes that her daughter doesn’t have the same feelings, and no matter what she does, Jill doesn’t seem to like her

This novel is set in two points of view, Jill’s & Mandy’s. Having the book in both of their point view’s, suits the story, that way we can see and feel what each girl is thinking. It took me a while to like Jill though. I understand that she’s still not over her father’s death but it like she only cares about what she wants, not her mother. I was pretty sure that half of time she didn’t even care how Mandy was feeling, how scared she was feeling; even when Dylan pointed it out to her. I would think that she would at least try to be nice to Mandy for her mother’s sake. As I read it, I was hoping that she would come to her senses, give Mandy a break. I hated the fact that one time she was nice to her was because she wanted to find more information about her. Of course I couldn’t really blame Jill, especially after I found that Mandy hasn’t been honest about some things, made me wonder what else she lied about, I would be curious too.

Mandy, even thought I wasn’t too fond of her when I found she lied, about some things. I also wasn’t too happy when she tried to leave, I think that she should at least tried to talk to Robin about what she was doing, or even possibly Jill. I was however glad that she found friendship with Dylan, few times I wondered if something more would happen between then till I realized how much he cared for Jill. I admired her for her strength thought; I don’t think I would be able do what she did if I was in her position. I would never be able to leave; actually I don’t think I could even give my baby away. I also admire how much she tried to earn Jill’s trust as well.

Dylan, now I think he was my favorite besides Ravi, His personality and just everything about him. Even though Jill treated him like crap since her father’s death, he was always there for her; I could tell that he really loved her. I wish Jill just let him in more and appreciated him more then she actually did. He was the only person who seemed to accept Mandy for who she was, not judge her even when he found that she planned on leaving, he helped her. The book was emotional most of way. I was surprised at end, I did not that see coming but I was glad that Mandy finally got the family, the Mother that she never had. I would recommend this book for everyone, this is a must
read. You won’t regret it.

Another great book. Gossip Girl turning out to be one of my favorite book series. I did however like You Know You Love Me bit more then I liked the first book, if I could give it more than 5 stars, I would. The second book seemed to have more action then the first one. It felt to me that I got to know more about the characters in this novel, especially about Blair. Even though she’s not the nicest one, I still love Blair in the book, especially after I found more about her in the book.

You Know You Love Me Second book in Gossip Girl series, Blair’s seventeen birthday is coming up and she knows the one thing she needs and want, is Nate, plus getting into Yale. However her plans don’t go as planned when her mother announces that her wedding, to Cyrus Rose will take place on Blair’s birthday. Top of that Nate seems to have been ignoring her. Blair unaware that Nate had been spending all of his free time with a ninth grader, Jenny Humphrey. Meanwhile, it’s time for college interviews, Yale for Blair, Brown for Nate, Dan & Serena that doesn’t end up as well as hoped.

In this book, I kind of felt sorry for Blair, nothing was going as planned for her. First, the wedding, the interview and Nate ignoring her. I’m not fond of Nate in this book at all, I thought maybe he actually make it work with Blair this time but it seems as he doesn’t even care. I got a feeling if he cheated on Blair, Twice; it won’t be any different when he ends up with Jenny. I’m pretty sure that when Jenny finds out that he still was with Blair all this time he was with her, she won’t be happy with him. Yet, I’m curious what’s going happen with him and Jenny.

Dan, that’s another character I’m not too fond of, he seems too depressing and he is bit obsessive of Serena but that’s what makes the book interesting as well. I’m glad that he finally figures out that it’s Vanessa he needs to be, towards the ends. Wonder if the two of them would actually last. It did seem as two of them were pretty happy towards the end though.

Serena & Blair, I was happy to see them bonding towards the end of the book. I wanted for them to make up. I could tell that after everything that happened, way Blair treated Serena after she came back, they still got each other’s back. I was glad that Blair at least had Serena after what happened with Nate, someone to lean on. I wonder if two of them remain friends, wonder if Blair mention to Nate what she saw, if Nate will end up dumping Blair over Jenny, it did seem like he really liked her. I can’t wait to read the rest of books, to see what happen with everyone, if any of them will change, or stay the same and who will stay together, friends. This one series I’m glad I discovered.

Remembrance was an amazing debut novel by Michelle Madow. I had first discovered the novel when I came across the author where it stated that her novel was inspired by Taylor Swift’s music video “Love Story”, I knew that I had to read it and the description sounded really interesting. I finally purchased the book in January and I wasn’t disappointed. The book drew me in from very first page. Part of me didn’t want it to end but another part of didn’t want to put down. Michelle made the story come to life.

Remembrance tells a story about a high school student, Lizzie Davenport whose life changes when she meets Drew Carmichael. From the moment that Lizzie meets him, something happens to her and she feel an instant connection to him, having feeling as if she had met him somewhere before. However, anytime she tries talking to him, he makes it clear that he wants nothing to do with her. However, he seems to know more about her than anyone else.

Things start to get more complicated when Drew starts dating her best friend, Chelsea. Lizzie can’t seem thinking about Drew, and the more cold he acts towards her, the more her heart seems to break. When Lizzie starts to get flashes of her and Drew in Regency Era, England, she starts to get confused. Causing her to realize that maybe she was given another chance and that her and Drew belong together, now how she get for Drew to see that?

I loved Lizzie from very beginning, and having story from her point of view worked very well. I could actually imagine what she was feeling, especially when she started getting all those confusing feelings about Drew. I did feel sorry for Lizzie though, mostly because the way both Drew & Jeremy treated her. It seemed as people were hurting over again and it seemed as some people were trying to make decisions for her. When Lizzie broke up with Jeremy, it seems as if Chelsea wouldn’t give up till they got back together, it seemed as nobody wanted to listen to her reasoning.

Drew, in beginning I wasn’t too fond of his character but it was mostly because the way he treated Lizzie. Of course that’s what made the story more interesting when there is some sort of conflict between the characters. I could see his mixed feelings for Lizzie through the story. I knew for fact that he cared for her when he showed up at Halloween dance and instead going for Chelsea, he went for Lizzie. I loved that scene, the dance scene between Lizzie and Drew, there was so much emotion there, and Michelle described that scene very well. I was hoping that after that scene Drew would come to his senses.

I loved Lizzie’s drawings, and the masks. The way that Michelle described them, I could actually picture them. I loved how she mentioned Pride & Prejudice in the book, and I could see how in way it fit with what was going on with Lizzie and her feelings. I think what Chelsea did with Drew was wrong in my opinion; I think she should just talked to Lizzie about it, instead of hurting her. I could see why she did it though, she was hurt and I could tell when towards the end, when they were talking about him that she really cared about him. I just wish the two of them worked it out. I’m kind of hope that they do work it out in the next couple books.

The ending was extreme, I was afraid that Lizzie was going to die. I was glad when she found a solution, even though she knew it would hurt Jeremy in the end. I loved the very ending, glad that Drew & Lizzie finally got to be together. I can’t wait for the next book. I want see what happens with Drew & Lizzie. I’m also interested to see what happens with Chelsea and Jeremy as well, if they find a way to work things out, or not.

I can see myself reading this book multiple time. Michelle has a bring career ahead or her, and she’s a complete sweetheart as well, with a lot of talent. This book, she actually inspired me to finish my own book I been writing. This is one of best love stories I have read, I would recommend it to everyone. You won’t regret it.

I love TV Show, Gossip Girl and I had wanted to read the books for a while now. I heard from a friend of mine that books are completely opposite from TV show, so I wanted to see what was different. I wasn’t disappointed. I know that most people prefer books over show but I love both. When reading this book, it was like reading completely new story. It was a short book so it only took me a bit to finish it. There wasn’t single moment that I didn’t enjoy though, there was always something happening.

Gossip Girl it mostly talks about Blair, Serena, Dan, Jenny, Nate and all of their struggles. This book consists of Serena coming back after being gone in boarding school for while, and that’s when the rumors, the gossip start especially since Blair, Serena’s best friend wasn’t aware that she was coming back. However once Serena gets back, things are not way as they used to be, especially between her and Blair. It seems as nobody wants to do anything with Serena and she can’t quite figure out why.

This book had a lot of drama but that’s what made this book good. I liked the writing style of the book as well; I liked to see what each of the characters were doing, seeing. I kind of felt sorry for Serena though after everyone ditched her but was glad when her & Dan bonded though. Even thought I wasn’t happy fact that she had slept with Blair’s boyfriend, I still don’t think she deserved to be treated the way she was. As for Blair, I couldn’t blame her for blowing her off, especially after she found out about her & Nate. I probably would have done the same thing.

I wasn’t fond of Chuck at all in the novel; he seemed even more of an ass that the beginnings of TV show. I was actually afraid that he would end up hurting somebody soon. I like Chuck in show, but in the novel so far I don’t. It was interesting to see how pretty much every character was different in the book, even the adults. Even though it was the first book, I already in love with this book. I can’t wait to read the rest, to see what happens with everyone. It’s type of book that is hard to put down once you pick it up.

Fateful was Incredible book. It took me only a day to read because I didn’t want put it down till I finished it. I actually want to read it for a while, from a moment I saw it at bookstore a while back but had no money to purchase it. I finally got it from library and it was one of the best books that I have read. I love most of characters, I love the storyline. I always was Interested with Titanic and I loved the fact that this took place on Titanic. What made it more interesting and fact that it had supernatural twist to it.

 Fateful
is retelling story of Titanic with supernatural twist. For years, Eighteen year old Tess has been a maid/ servant in Lisle’s household in England. However Tess always hopes for better life for herself, especially since Lisles; expect the daughter never treated her well. Tess sees her opportunity to start over when the Lisle’s head to New York on RMS Titanic, taking Tess with them. Tess knows that it her chance to start over, in America.

While on ship, Tess meets a first class passenger, Alec Marlowe who saves her life, before telling her to stay away from him. Tess feels an attraction to him right away, even know she knows that nothing can ever happen between the two of them. Soon, Tess finds out a terrible secret that Alec had been hiding and the reason he wants for her to stay away from him. Despite the danger, Tess and Alec end up falling in love with each other. However they have other dangers, Mikhail, whose part of Brotherhood is stalking Alec, trying get him to join and soon comes after Tess. Alec & Tess don’t realize that they will face even more danger before the voyage of Titanic is over.

This story was filled with romance, mystery and twist of Supernatural and it had a lot of action within the book, there wasn’t a single dull moment, in Fateful there was always something happening, some sort of action. Either something happening with the Wolves, Tess or Lisles. I loved Tess right from beginning, she seemed so determined to get a fresh start once she reached America, and she worked really hard for it as well. Of course I hated how Lisles treated her, it’s like they didn’t even consider her as a person. Every time they mistreated her, I seriously wanted to punch them.

Of course I loved the relationship between Alec and Tess. I wasn’t too fond of how he treated her in beginning but that’s before I found the secret, then I could understand that he was doing it, to protect Tess. I think it’s more interesting when there is some sort of tension, drama from beginning. Through the book, I could tell that his feelings for Tess grew stronger, even when he told her to stay away from him; I could tell that he couldn’t ignore his feelings for her. No matter what happened, he always seemed to be there for her. I was happy when Tess found him; I was hoping she would find someone who make her happy, smile. After everything she been through, she deserved happiness.

I was afraid, once ship started sinking, once Tess was ship that it would end tragically, as it did in the movie. For a while, I did think that Alec didn’t make it but I was glad for happy ending. I won’t lie, this book had made me cry on multiple occasions, it also made me angry, mostly at lisle’s treatment of Tess and Mikhail, I just wanted him to leave her alone. I would recommend this book for everyone. Once you pick up this book up, you won’t be able to put down. I couldn’t. It was really impressive book with amazing twist and that’s why it made different from all those other supernatural novels. It’s worth reading.

Haunting Violet was an amazing book. The cover of the book is what made me pick the book; it seemed like the sort of novel I would enjoy. I was right; the book hooked me from first page. It has everything from ghosts, to mediums, to murder mystery, plus historic fiction added too, it just the sort of books I love. I fell in love with every character in book, especially Violet & Colin, I also loved Elizabeth. Every page made me wonder what is going come next. Haunting Violet was first novel I read by Alyxandra Harvey and won’t be last one; I plan to read rest of her novels.

Sixteen year old Violet, a daughter of famous Medium, Celeste Willoughby but only Violet and her mother’s assistant and Violet’s friend Colin aware of the truth, that she’s a fraud, only doing it for the money. Especially since Violet & Colin been helping her with fraud from an early age. Violet was never the one to believe in Spirits, Ghosts till one day she sees a ghost, Rowena who had drowned the year before. However, Violet knows that is not the case, when she sees the bruises around her throat and on her wrists. At first, Violet tries to ignore her but when Rowena clearly won’t leave her alone, she goes to investigate.

Violet knows it’s best to keep her ability a secret, especially from her mother. As Violet begins to investigate, she starts to suspect that something is being hidden from her. Especially once she finds from Rowena that the killer is still alive. However, the more that Violet investigates, the more danger she seems to put herself in. Violet knows that she has find the murderer soon before he strikes again.

First, I loved the fact that this took place during Victorian time; I was always into historical fiction novels. Of course I loved the clothes that were described in the novel, I could actually imagine them. It was interesting reading about the way the fraud took place; how they did it and way that they did it, to make it others to believe that they were actually seeing sprits of their loved ones. I was actually surprised that they were able to pull it off for so many years. I’m pretty sure that they would be able to pull it off longer if Violet didn’t get distracted by Rowena that day. I hated the way Celeste treated her own daughter, it felt as she cared about herself, about the money then about her own daughter. I wanted to seriously punch her when she hit Violet, who does that to their own daughter? That why I didn’t even feel sorry for her when she got caught.

I Loved Colin and the relationship between him & Violet. I could tell that he really cared about her and that she did as well. It seemed as he was the one person who always seem be able to make her smile, no matter what. He always looked out for her, made sure she was all right. Colin was the one who came to her rescue when her mother hit her. Part of me wished that he would just punch her right there. The way he protected her, it made me smile, he was the only one who seemed to be always there for her. Even Xavier ditched her once her mother got caught; he seemed more concerned about his family status then her. I was happy when the two of them finally came to their senses and got together. The way two of them looked at each other, from moment they kissed the first time, I knew Colin was the one for Violet.

I was surprised to find Rowena’s killer was her own uncle. I was also afraid that he would actually kill Violet, he was really close. I was glad when Rowena helped her out. I thought having Violet be Rowena and seeing part of Rowena’s life as she was her during her investigation put a really interesting twist , and in way helped Violet with the investigation. I would recommend this to everyone, especially if you are into mystery, ghost and historical fiction. If I could give this book more than 5 stars, I would. I loved everything about it and can see myself reading it again.

Michelle Richmond is officially one of my favorite authors. No One You Know is the second novel that I read by Michelle Richmond and I plan reading rest of her novels. Just like The Year of Fog that I first read back in 2010, No One You Know hooked me from very first page till the last page. I read the book in only 3 days because the more I read, the more I wanted to see what happens with Ellie, with Peter and everyone else in book. The more I read, the harder it got for me to put down the book. I fell in love with all of characters. I love Michelle’s writing.

Tells a story about Ellie Enderlin whose older sister, Lila, a top math student gets murdered and Ellie’s world turns upside down. Aftermath of her sister’s death, Ellie tells her feelings, the story about her sister to Andrew Thorpe, unaware of his intentions. Ellie’s world falls even more apart when Thrope turns Lila’s murder in best selling nonfiction crime novel, even though she begs him not to. The book identifies one of Lila’s colleagues as the killer.

Now, 20 years later, Ellie is professional coffee buyer who has trouble trusting anyone. While traveling she comes face to face with Peter, a man accused of the murder. Afterwards she comes in possession of Lila’s notebook filled with Lila’s mathematical equations. Ellie returns to San Francisco, in attempt to find out the truth, what really happened to her sister that night

Book hooked me from beginning, where Ellie said: When I found him at last, I have long ago given up search I was hooked right from there. It made me wonder who she was talking about, and why she was searching for him. I loved the fact that the book started from Present and not right when the murder appeared where most of books like this seem to start. Writing book from Ellie’s point of view always worked well for this book. You could see and feel what Ellie was feelings, about the murder, her sister, Thorpe for writing the book in first place.

I was really unhappy with Thrope for writing the book in first place, especially after she begged him not to. I think if he really cared about her the way he seemed to, he wouldn’t published it. If he could say No to movie, I’m pretty sure he could have done the same with the book. However, I could tell that Ellie still cared about him, after all those years, even though he had betrayed her trust. Because if she didn’t care, she wouldn’t came to his house. I also could tell that Thrope really cared for Ellie as well.

This book had mystery for most of the book. I didn’t not see the real killer coming. For a while, I thought that there is possibility maybe it was Thrope himself who killed her. I was curious how it really happened, how she was killed. I was unhappy with Will for hiding the body instead of going to hospital but then I couldn’t really blame him either. But I did not see it coming; I didn’t even suspect him as killer. That was another thing that I loved about this book, it was hard to figure who killer really was, till the very end. I would recommend this book to everyone, especially if you into mystery. This book is worth reading. I can’t wait to read more of Richmond’s work.

I have wanted to read this book for a while. I have heard about this book from few people and friends and most of them had good reviews about the book. Finally, I managed to get the book from the library, I wasn’t disappointed. I have read few werewolf books before reading Nightshade and I got say that this book was one of my favorites. It was one of books I didn’t want put down till I was finished.
Calla, an 18 year old Alpha Female of her pack (Leader) who is paired up with Alpha Male, Ren. The Union that will take place on October 31 will create a new clan. However, they are rules that must be followed before the union even takes place, rules that all pack must follow. It all changes for Calla when she saves a human, Shay when he gets attacked while hiking, even though she knows that there would be consequences for her if Keepers finds out. Calla finds herself in even more trouble when she finds herself constantly thinking about him.

Then Shay ends up in her school, causing her to even grow more worried. However when Keepers tell her to watch out for him, she finds herself spending more time with Shay and more time she spends with him, the stronger her feelings grow, the feelings that she knows she shouldn’t be having. Tension grows between the two of them and soon she finds herself breaking laws, just to spend time with Shay. Calla knows that she belongs to Ren yet she seems unable to help her attraction towards Shay.

I’m giving it 4 stars because I thought that there were some parts in the book that were kind of slow. Otherwise I thought that it was pretty good book. I loved the tension between Calla & Shay, I could tell that when he kissed her, that she wanted him to kiss her again but resisted because of Ren. To be honest, I wasn’t really fond of Calla, I just thought that what she was doing with Shay, spending all this time with Shay, wasn’t fair to Ren, he clearly cared about her. Also because she kept talking about all those laws, complained that she couldn’t do that yet she ended up breaking half of them with Shay.

I loved the scenes between Ren & Calla, well most of them, there was some scenes that I thought that Ren was being kind of an ass. In beginning, I wasn’t actually sure if he actually cared about Calla or if he just wanted to sleep with her. But as book progressed, I could tell that he really cared about her. But some of scenes, especially the scenes where they were kissing, were hot and I could tell that it affected Calla to. I’m pretty sure that Calla cared for Ren, maybe she just didn’t want to admit that she did. The last scene between them in novel, almost made me cry. Poor Ren. I do hope she comes back for him. Even thought I like Shay, I kind of like Ren bit more.

I also loved the relationship between Calla and her brother. Most of other books I read, the siblings are usually at each other throats, it was nice to read a book where siblings actually get along. I hated Ren’s father, I seriously wanted to punch him like Calla did when he kept on touching her mother. I kind of wish either Calla or Ren would done something, just to see what happens. Love triangle, now that is something I always loved in books, it always made the story more interesting.

I loved the ending, so sweet. In way, I’m hoping Ren comes to Calla’s rescue. I would recommend this book to everyone but especially if you into paranormal, werewolf’s. This book has a lot action, adventure and mystery so be sure to check it out. I can’t wait to read rest of the books. I want see what happens with Calla, and want see how her actions will impact the pack. I’m also very curious who she will choose, because I’m pretty sure she cares about both of them.

Between Here and Forever was a first novel that I read by Elizabeth Scott and I was impressed. I can see myself reading more of her books. It was a sad book, especially in beginning but it was also type of book that captured myself from the moment I read the first page.

Between Here and Forever tells story about Abby and her relationship with her sister Tess, who’s in coma after getting into accident on New Year. Abby, being tired of being in her sister’s shadow, tries to get Tess to wake up but not because she misses her, but because she wants to get on with her life. That’s when she meets Eli and she sure that she sees Tess’s eyes move when he talks, and she forms a plan which Involves Eli. It involves Eli talking to Tess, to get her to wake up.

However, the more time her and Eli spend with Tess, the more Abby starts to realize her feelings for him. Abby pushes those feelings away, mostly because she’s afraid that what happened with Jack will also happen with Eli. Abby also has hard time accepting that Eli can actually be interested in her, since guys always go for Tess. Then Abby discovers something about Tess, her & Claire and the reason the two stopped talking which makes Abby realize that Tess was just like her, makes her see in completely different light.

I felt sorry for Abby from very beginning, I also thought that she should give herself more credit, see that she is as beautiful as Tess was. I was happy when she finally came across Eli, from very beginning I was hoping that something would happen between the two of them. I kind of had the feeling from very beginning that Eli was more interested in Abby and not Tess, the way he talked her, listened to her. That why I wasn’t happy with Abby when Eli kissed her and she said “I don’t know what to do” I was as frustrated with her as Claire was.

Now, the stuff with Claire & Tess, I did not see coming. I had feeling with Beth from moment she came to visit, but I had no idea about Claire. It made me both angry and at same time feel sorry for Tess, and Claire. But it made sense the real reason that Claire visited her so much. At first I thought was because she missed her since their friendship fell apart when Claire got pregnant. I just wish that Tess would admit her feelings for Claire, came out and maybe the outcome could be different. What was most surprising for me was that her parents knew all this time, I did not see that coming.

I thought that Abby was comparing herself to Tess too much, that she seemed to judge her little bit too much, when in truth that she actually didn’t know her sister that much. I was glad to see that she really does love her sister. In general, this book was sad and I was hoping for Tess to wake up before she got moved to home. I was glad for happy ending for Abby & Eli though, glad that Abby finally came to her senses, faced her fears. Even though this can be an emotional book, it still book worth reading.

Tara Hudson’s debut novel, Hereafter was amazing, from the beginning to the end. It was filled with so much passion, mystery plus had a forbidden romance. This book was one of the best ghost stories out there and I read quite few. It captured me from the first chapter till the end. I actually didn’t want the book to end once I reached the end; I wanted to keep on reading it.

Amelia is a ghost who only knows bits pieces of how she died, she knows she drowned and she knows she jumped but doesn’t know how, she knows her age at death but not her birthdates or her last name. Amelia spends most of her time wandering around High Bridge and Cemetery where she ends up after reliving nightmares of her drowning. Everything changes when she saves a boy, Joshua from drowning.

It turns out that Joshua is the only one who can see her, and from the very first moment, there is attraction between the two of them, the attraction that can get complicated. Then she meets Eli, another ghost asks for her help but she refuses Joshua and Amelia start investigating, start trying to bring her memory back. The more they investigate the closer they becoming. Realizing how complicated their relationship can be especially when Amelia disappears after kissing Joshua. The two of them also try figure out how to get rid of Eli, who won’t leave them alone, at least not till he gets what he wants, Amelia
.

I absolutely loved everything about this book. I loved Tara’s writing style, the characters, and the storyline. Writing from Amelia’s point of view fit the story. Reading it, I could actually imagine, feel the feelings that she was feeling, how alone she must felt in beginning, frighten. I was happy when she found Joshua. I knew from the moment she went to save him, that there was something between them. I loved the fact that she was ghost and he was human, yet they could still touch. I loved the feeling both of them felt whenever they touched one another, it was unusual. I loved their relationship though.

I can’t wait till Hudson’s next novel in series comes out. I want see what happens with Joshua & Amelia next. I also want see if Ruth will warm up to Amelia, I am kind of hoping she would. If you are into ghosts, paranormal, mystery, this is a must read for you. You won’t regret it. I see myself reading this book couple times.

Last Breath, The Eleventh book in Morganville Vampires series, was amazing and favorite one out of all Morganville books so far.

Eve & Michael announced their plans to get married but most of Morganville, expect their friends are not happy about their arrangement. Everyone thinks, especially Vampires that human & vampires shouldn’t be married and try to put a stop to it. Meanwhile, Vampires start vanishing without a trace and everything around Morganville seems to be getting dangerous once again.

Then, Claire starts seeing a man who she thinks is a newcomer, expect nobody else seems to be seeing him but her. While that is going on, Amelie receives a message that causes her to come to decision, for all Vampires to leave Morganville, that it’s no longer safe. Claire and her friends know that there is something not right about that, there is something else going on that they aren’t telling them. So Claire and her friends, investigate, realizing how dangerous Morganville had become, that even sent Vampires running

.Last Breath is a book that everyone that into paranormal should read. This has been my favorite one, out of the entire series; it has so much more action. The moment that I picked the book up, I didn’t want put it down, if it wasn’t for school, homework, I wouldn’t. In this book you don’t only get point of view from Claire but Amelie, Shane, Eve & Michael even though it wasn’t much as Claire’s. I always liked Amelie and it was really interesting to read about what she was thinking, it showed more of her personality. I could tell that she cared about Oliver, maybe not as much as she cared for Sam but I could see he was important to her.

There was also a lot more emotional parts in this books, especially where Claire was ‘Killed’, I didn’t see that coming. I was curious why she was only one seeing that man but I did not imagine that he would actually kill her. That was sad, Poor Eve, Poor Shane. I almost cried when he sat in her room with the gun because Shane is one of my favorites. I actually thought he was going do it, but hoped that somehow Claire would be able to reach him, to stop him. I was so glad that she did. I loved the scenes between two of them, even though they were pretty sad. I was hoping that they figure out to bring her back soon, so they could be together.

This Book had much more action but it also was the most emotional and surprising book out of entire series. Half stuff I read in book, I did not see coming. Not about Claire, Shane. I love the end scene between Shane & Claire, I thought my favorite was in Bite Club I was wrong, this one was my favorite. I was wondering when Shane come to his senses and ask her. I did think the very end seemed but unfinished to me, but it made me want me for next book to come even faster, to see what happens next. Will Michael & Eve get married? What will happen with Morganville? I can’t wait till Black Dawn comes out. This was an amazing read. Rachel Caine has an amazing talent.

"Bite Club", the 10th novel in Morganville Vampires starts with guys finding out about the new gym opening, which is Vampire owned. Shane gets excited when he learns that that gym also offers Martial Arts classes, while Michael doesn't think its such good idea. Shane loves the idea of fighting vampires, it something that he been wanted to do for a very long time, ever since his sister and mother's death. However the more time he spends there, the angrier he seems to get and not just with any vampires but even with Eve and his girlfriend, Claire. Shane ends up signing up for fight, in front of live audience when he's offered money and a way out, of Morganville. The Sudden change in Shane's attitude causes Claire and her friends to investigate what is going on.

I got say, out of all Morganville books that I have read so far; this is one of my favorites. I loved that this book was both from Claire & Shane's point of view. However, I could tell even from beginning that this book was mostly about Shane, I loved that because he's one of my favorite characters. I loved to see what he was thinking, especially when he was fighting. At times, I did pound some sense into him, especially when he started picking fights with his friends and Claire. When Shane & Claire had that big fight, I even got a little sad, for Claire, I could actually feel how she was feeling and they are my favorite couple in series as well.

I could tell through this book that Claire would do anything for Shane. Even thought Shane was an ass to Claire, most of the book, I knew that he loved her. Mostly because I knew he wasn't doing just for the money but for Claire, so that he could take her with him and get her out from Morganville, not like I couldn't blame. I was glad that Michael & Eve finally tied the knot, but I kind of knew that it was coming, eventually. The ending, I LOVED the ending, it was so sweet, and I loved that scene between Shane & Claire. I was actually happy when Claire gave up MIT for Shane, but I had feeling that she would have anyways. Out of all the endings through the series, this was my favorites. If you
into paranormal, vampires, as well as action, I would recommend this book. Once you pick it up, you won't be available to put back down. I can't wait to read the next book in series.

I wanted to read Soul Surfer for a while, even since I heard that Bethany wrote a book about her experience. However I haven’t got a chance to, till summer 2011. From a moment I picked up the book, I didn’t want to put it down till I finished it.

Soul Surfertalks about experience Of Bethany Hamilton, A surfer till one day while she is in water; she gets attacked by Shark which causes her to lose an arm. However even after the attack, it’s about Bethany’s journey of getting back on board, to keep on going, with support of both her family and her friends.

This was one of most memorable books I have read. It takes courage to do what Bethany did, and write a book about it as well. I don’t think that I would be able to do what Bethany did, if something like that happened to me. I don’t think that I have as much courage as she did. The book was written with so much emotion, especially how she felt after she was attacked, while she was at the hospital. I could tell how hesitant she felt about getting back to surfing with one arm, the challenges she had overcome after she came home. I had a feeling that she might not got back to surfing if it wasn’t for her love of surfing and support of both her family and her friends.

I knew that if I was in her situation while shark attacked me, I would have panicked. I probably wouldn’t be able to swim back to shore, the way she did. I was actually surprised that the Shark didn’t come after her again, with all of that blood. This was very inspirational novel and I would recommend it for everyone, to read this novel. You won’t be disappointed.

In Hilary Duff’s second novel, “Devoted”, Sage has been kidnapped and Clea is devastated, not knowing if he’s actually dead or alive. Clea feels as part of her is dead too, without Sage. Clea can’t even turn to her friend, Ben for support because anytime she even looks at him, she sees betrayal. Knowing that he’s the reason that Sage got captured to begin with. However, after suffering through dreams of seeing Sage with another woman, Lila, she knows that there is no more time for waiting. That’s when she comes for help, to Ben, to rescue Sage. Causing her to pair up with Sage enemies.

I loved Devoted; I thought the second novel was better than the first book. Even thought I love Sage & Clea’s relationship in Elixir, this book had much more action then the first one, in my opinion. The book did start out bit slow but once Amelia and her family showed up, it started picking up. I did wonder about Amelia’s family from very beginning, who they were and how they appeared and disappeared like that. I loved how Duff wrote the book from Clea’s point of view and Amelia’s. I loved Amelia from very beginning, her family not so much; mostly because they wanted tear Clea & Sage apart. I especially disliked Petra. I was hoping that they would lose, at the end.

I was not happy when Sage got stabbed towards the end though. However, I did not see the ending coming. Now I can’t wait to see what happens in next book, which I hope that she writes soon. This was the book that captured me almost from the beginning. I have see what happens next with Ben, Sage, and Clea. I’m also wondering if there be more mention of Clea’s father in next novel, if she will ever find out what happens to him. Otherwise this novel is worth reading it, Duff has a talent

The Lying Game”, a story about two twins: a foster kid, Emma & Sutton. Emma stumbles across Sutton by accident when her foster brother shows a video of Sutton, being strangled. Afterwards, Emma gets curious, finding her and sending her a message and gets message back from Sutton or who she things is Sutton, and they set up a place to meet. However Sutton never shows up. It’s not till later that she learns of her sister’s murder, and she tries figure out what happened to her, who killed her while pretending to be Sutton.

This book started out a bit slow but then it picked up, and from that point on, there wasn’t a single moment that didn’t capture my attention. I seen few eposides of Lying Game show but after reading the book, I preferred the book so much more. Even though Sutton & Emma are twins, I loved the fact how both of them were so different. I wasn’t completely found of Sutton before she was killed, mostly because I disliked the way that she treated other people, but on the other hand, I loved her attitude. I was suspicious of her friends, especially of Charlotte; she always seemed to be around whenever Emma & Garrett were together. Madeline, I had a feeling that she was hiding something, that day they went to spa, after she left so quickly. I wasn’t really suspicious of Laurel, till the flashback, with necklace.

I thought it was pretty cool that they had Sutton in background, commenting and seeing how awful she was, to her friends, her sister. I think it made her realize that it was reason that any of her friends might wanted to kill her, because of way she treated others. I think that it was what made her change towards end of the book.

I loved the relationship between Ethan & Emma. I could tell that there was attraction between the two of them, especially when the two of them went to play tennis together and the way that Emma kept bumping into Ethan, I had a feeling that she did that on purpose. I hope that their relationship develops even more, now that he knows the truth.

I can’t wait to read the other books, I want see what happens next with everyone. I also want see who the killer is, and why he/ she killed Sutton. I wonder what happens with Emma once truth is revealed though. This book has a lot of mystery, action. It’s worth reading it.

This is the second time that I have read "Elixir". It tells a story of 17 year old girl, Clea whose father vanishes. Clea, along with her best friend Rayna go to Europe for a trip before school starts and Clea, a photojournalism takes pictures on their trip in Europe. Once she gets home, she realizes that there is some guy(Sage) in very back in pretty much all of her pictures. At first she freaks out and then she starts dreaming about him, unable to take her mind off him. A trip in Rio, she runs into him and finds out that he knew her father. She, her friend Ben and Sage go in search of Elixir Of Life, or so Clea believes. Through the journey, her feelings for Sage becomes stronger, the feelings she tries to ignore, even if she already aware that Sage is a guy for her.

I had loved Hilary Duff from moment i saw her in Lizzie McGuire, i even been to one of her concerts. So, when i saw this book and saw that she wrote it, i wanted to check it out. I'm glad that i did, i loved everything about it. I loved Clea from very beginning; i loved all the names actually. In beginning however, i wondered if Clea would somehow end up with Ben. Especially when there were in Rio. It made me wonder if she didn't see Sage, would she go for Ben. I was sad to see their relationship ruined towards the end of book. It did make me wonder if they put their differences aside, in order to rescue Sage.

Of Course I loved the relationship between Sage & Clea from very beginning, from the moment that she started dreaming about him. I had a feeling that the moment she dreamed all her past life’s together, she had already fallen in love with him. When i first read the book, it did keep me wondering when they would meet, and if Sage would recognize her. I loved seeing all those past lives that Clea had thought. The book had a lot of mystery added to, especially with her father's disappearance.

The ending keep me wondering, what's going to happen next, with Clea, Ben, Sage. If they will be able figure out where Sage was taken and would they be able to save him. I can't wait to read the next book in series.

"Falling Home" is second Karen White Novel i read and i loved it. It got hard for me to put the novel down.
Cassie Madison had lived the past 15 years in Mannhatan, establishing new life and advertising with her fiancee, Andrew. Cassie hasn't spoken with her younger sister, Harriet since she ran off and married guy she loved, Joe. Till she gets a call from Harriet middle of the night informing that their father is dying. Forcing Casey to return to Walton, Georgia after years of absence. There she meets up with her childhood friend, Sam Parker who is nothing like he used to. Cassie Inherits the house which she hopes to sell soon, in hopes of returning back home to her fiancee. However, Sam and Harriet think that she should stay, that Walton is where she belongs.

Karen White did an amazing job. I loved the fact how she wrote the book in diffrent point of view. It didn't have a single moment where the book didn't capture my attention, the moment that i picked up the book, i didn't want to put it back down again. I fell in love with characters, especially Cassie, Sam & Harriet. The realthionship between Harriet & Cassie had so much tension in begnning, i could see that in begnning Cassie still haven't completly forgiven Harriet for taking the love of her life, away from her. As Novel progressed, especially when Harriet got sick, i saw the sisters getting closer and closer, especially when they started going through their father things.

I loved the realthionship between Sam & Cassie as well. I could tell that there was an attraction as well as tension between the two of them from very begnning. I was hoping that the two of them would get together, soon. I wasn't too fond of Andrew, i could tell that he wasn't the guy for her, from the moment he came to Georgia. All he seemed to care about was work, he didn't even try to comfort her after her father's death. Work seemed more important to him then Cassie, her hapiness.

This novel made me sad, it hit close to home. My grandma got diagnosed with breast cancer when i was 11 and died when i was 16. When Harriet died, it reminded me of my grandma and it made me cry, both for my grandma and because i loved Harriet. It was an emotional novel from begnning but there were also parts that made me smile. I recomend this novel to everyone. You won't be disspointed.

"Speak" is a novel of a rape victim, Melinda who becomes sudden outcast after she calls police on the party. Nobody is aware the real reason that she called police, to begin with. Once Melinda starts high school, she refuses to talk to anyone, she just keeps things to herself. Her only escape is the art class that she takes upon entering high school.

I first read this book back in 2006 in High School for my English Class, that was the book that we were reading and discussing. I got into the book from very begnning and i would finished it faster if it wasn't for other homework. I was the first one out of everyone in class to finish it though. Laurie Henderson did an amazing job with this novel, i can see how it became so popular. Writing it from Melinda's point of view, i could actually feel, imagine what Melinda was feeling and the writing style in general was unnique.

I was not happy with her new found friend, when she just ditched her for popular girls. That's not what friends are for, that's not what real friends do. Real friends try to help one another, not bail on them when they are depressed.

I loved her friendship with her art teacher from very begnning. In way, i think art was one of things that helped her deal with this more, especially considiring fact that Melinda had no friends. I could tell that her art teacher was the one person, the one adult who seemed to care about her, feel concerned for her.

This is one of my favorite books. I have read if few times and i see myself reading it few more times, it's one of those books that will keep you on reading every time.

The Pledge was a first novel I read by Kimberly Derting, actually the cover was what had attracted my attention in first place. When I read the back, it was unlike any novel that I had read and somehow I had feeling that I was going to enjoy this novel. I ended up getting The Pledge for Christmas, from my brother. I wasn’t disappointed, this book even turned out better than I expected it to be. The storyline for The Pledge was unique, unlike other Dystopian novels that I read in past. I can’t wait to read next novel, to see what happens with Charlie next.
Seventeen year old Charlaina Charlie, who lives in Kindom Ludania that is ruled by cruel, strict Queen. All of the people are divided by classes and languages they speak. Understanding, and even looking the higher class, will result in death. Charlie has a secret, the secret that she kept hidden most of her life, the fact that she can understand all of the languages. She must never let anyone find that she can understand.

Then Charlie attracts attention of newcomer, Max at the club, when she hears him speaking a language that she had never heard anyone else speak. Soon Charlie senses that Max knows that she understands his language, and she tries to stay away from him even though she knows there’s an attraction between them. She’s afraid if she gets close to him, her secret will be revealed. The more time the two of them spend together, the stronger her attraction grows to him

I had actually heard about this book for someone on Facebook, and I was glad that I did. From the moment I picked up the book, read the first page, I was hooked. I loved Charlie right from the beginning, I felt bad at her at times when she had pretend not to understand the language, I could feel that she wanted to say something when they were insulting her, and her friends. I think that I wouldn’t be able just stand there and not say anything, I would have to say something. I was curious and at same surprised how Max figured out so fast that she could understand his language. I was wondering, from beginning, how long Charlie would actually be able to keep it a secret, of course I was glad that it was Max who discovered and not someone else, who would get her killed instead.

Relationship between Max and Charlie was special; I could tell it right from the moment that two of them met at the Club. I knew that he cared for her deeply, otherwise he would turn her in from moment that he found that she could understand other language, but instead he wanted to protect her. It was obvious, especially after the attack when he neglected his duties, till he was sure that she and her sister Angelina were safe. I wanted to talk some sense into Charlie, tell her it doesn’t matter that he knew her secret; it was obvious he cared about her. I was as surprised as Charlie was thought when I found Max was royalty; I did not see that coming.

I loved relationship between Charlie & Angelina; it was obvious that Angelina looked up to Charlie. I loved fact how much Charlie cared about her sister, how she wanted to make sure that she was safe first, Angelina came first to her, and how she could understand her even though she didn’t talk. It did make me wonder if Angelina would speak or remain silent through the entire book. The ending made me want for more, see what would happen next with Charlie, Max. How Charlie would handle being the Queen. After reading this book, I definitely plan on reading rest of her novels.
