Kate Quinn’s mom died last year, leaving Kate parent-less and reeling. So when the unexpected shows up in her living room, Kate must confront another reality she never thought possible—or thought of at all. Kate does have a father. He’s a powerful politician. And he’s running for U.S. President. Suddenly, Kate’s moving in with a family she never knew she had, joining a campaign in support of a man she hardly knows, and falling for a rebellious boy who may not have the purest motives. This is Kate’s new life. But who is Kate? When what she truly believes flies in the face of the campaign’s talking points, she must decide. Does she turn to the family she barely knows, the boy she knows but doesn’t necessarily trust, or face a third, even scarier option?

Set against a backdrop of politics, family, and first love, this is a story of personal responsibility, complicated romance, and trying to discover who you are even as everyone tells you who you should be.

 ϟ

I can’t even begin to explain how I’m feeling about this novel right now; my emotions are all over the place. The Wrong Side Of Right was engaging, beautifully written, filled with suspense. Every single page will have you craving for more; you’ll need to know what is going to happen next. I wasn’t sure how much I was going to like the book since I am not much into political type of novels. Once I picked up The Wrong Side Of Right I couldn’t get enough of the story, I couldn’t force myself to pull away, I was hooked. You can’t help but fall in love with this book and the characters, it’s filled with so many emotions and by the end of the book you feel a connection with most of the characters, especially Kate. That was feeling that I got while reading the book, each page had me wondering what was going happen with Kate next. Would she stay? Would it work? Would she actually form a relationship with her father? It’s the questions that you will find yourself thinking about while you read the novel. I believe that it’s type of book that will have you thinking a little bit. I was.

I loved Thorne’s writing style, a bit of different style than I usually read when comes to book like that. Plus I loved how she was counting the days till General Election, some of the things that were written in there, had me laughing. In general the entire book had my attention from beginning to the end, how could it not? There were so much going on and Kate had almost no private life due to fact that her father was running for U.S President. I love romance books but I loved fact that not all of book was based on just romance, actually most of it was based on family; in Kate’s case her new fond family and the relationships that she established with them. I enjoy reading novels that deal with families. The Wrong Side Of Right you can tell how much the relationships changes from the beginning to the end of novel. I loved Meg the most to be honest, to me it felt she was one person that expected her despite her being product of her husband’s affair. I loved how she accepted her and loved her like she was her own child. You can’t help but love a character like that.

Now Andy, what is there to say about him? At start of book I didn’t actually know what to think about him, I couldn’t figure out if I liked him or not. In a way I had mixed feelings about him. Especially after they kissed and he wouldn’t call her afterwards. Plus in way he got her dad in trouble in what happened with Penny’s parents. That was one of most heartbreaking scenes, at least for me. You could tell how much friendship meant to her, when she came to Andy about it because nobody else would help, or listen. In his own way Andy did help. At first I did wonder if he was using her, so that his father would get re-elected. But as I kept on reading the book and thought about it, I knew that he liked her, the way he was always with her and they both seemed happy together. Andy and Kate had a bond, a connection that both of them didn’t seem to acknowledge at first. Kate needed someone like Andy. I loved that their relationship didn’t move fast. It was real.

I wish that I could give this book more than five stars because that’s what it deserves. The Wrong Side Of Right is story about love, friendship and most of all the importance of family. A beautifully written novel, a magical ride that you won’t forget.

In the tradition of Alice Hoffman’s Practical Magic, one girl chooses to change her fortune and her fate by falling in love.

Love is real in the town of Grimbaud, and Fallon Dupree has dreamed of attending high school there for years. After all, generations of Duprees have successfully followed the (100% accurate!) love fortunes from Zita’s famous Love Charms Shop to happily marry their high school sweethearts. It’s a tradition. So she is both stunned and devastated when her fortune states that she will NEVER find love.

Fortunately, Fallon isn’t the only student with a terrible love fortune, and a rebellion is brewing. Fallon is determined to take control of her own fate—even if it means working with a notorious heartbreaker like Sebastian.

Will Fallon and Sebastian be able to overthrow Zita’s tyranny and fall in love?

 ϟ

Now that’s a spin on love story that I never came across before. What an imaginative world I just came from or at least that’s how it felt like. I read a lot of love stories through years with their own spins, but I never came across a story like Love Fortunes And Other Disasters . That’s an author that has an imagination, who would thought a Love Charm Shop that tells others what their future love would be like? Catch is, that not all the fortunes have a happily ever after. A fantasy love story but not just a love story but deal with magic, friendship. It’s not your typical love story. I heard about Love Fortunes And Other Disasters from Swoon Reads and after reading this story, I am tempted to submitted my own manuscript to the site. I couldn’t get enough of this story, from moment I found what they were up to, I wondered if they would succeeded and I hoped that they would. You will fall in love with the characters and you find yourself rooting for them to succeed, reading late into night like I did. You will be craving for more afterwards.

I loved Fallon from start of the book; she’s type of character that you can see yourself being friends with in real life. As for Sebastian I had mixed feelings about in the first few chaplets in book, kind of like Fallon did. I didn’t like him at first, mostly because of way that he treated the girls, like he didn’t even care if he hurt them, once he had his fun with them, which was it. That why I was surprised to see him in the club that others appeared in due to their bad fortunes and it did make me wonder what his fortune said. I knew that it must be bad enough that he wanted take Zita down, to end it once and for all. More I read of the story, I couldn’t help but fall in love with Sebastian especially when I saw how much he started changing. I could tell that he was falling for Fallon and that’s why I was confused why he kept on pushing her away anytime where they got to more than friendship territory. There was a special connection between two of them, even if Fallon didn’t want to admit to it. What she did for him, only a true love would. I loved the scenes between two of them, it had me smiling most of time.

I loved that it didn’t just deal with love, but with magic as well. Those are my two favorite things to read about. Love Fortunes And Other Disasters had different type of magic than I usually read about. It mostly dealt with Fortunes and Charms instead of actual magic. An Unique idea for a love story and that’s why I couldn’t pull myself away from it. I wanted to see if they would be able to find Zita and finally put stop to all love fortunes once and for all. I was cheering for them all through the way. And in end it seems that everyone got their happily ever after, even Nico that was one that surprised me most of all. Despite the book being a fantasy, it felt real to me, maybe the way that it was described and filled with emotion. I imagined it actually happening while I read it. Kimberly Karalius is an author that is going go a long way, an author that I am looking forward to next adventure. Beautifully written. A Magical adventure that you won’t forget.

Seventeen-year-old Darcy Covington never had to worry about money or where her next shopping spree was coming from. Even her dog ate gourmet. Then one day, Darcy’s car is repossessed from the parking lot of her elite private school. As her father’s business hit the skids, Dad didn’t just skip town, he bailed on his family.

Fortunately, Darcy’s uncle owns a thrift shop where she can hide out from the world. There’s also Lucas, the wickedly hot fix-it guy she can’t stop crushing on, even if she’s not sure they’ll ever get out of the friend zone.

But it’s here among the colorful characters of her uncle’s world that Darcy begins to see something more in herself… if she has the courage to follow it.

 ϟ

Heartfelt story about family, love and changes. Did you ever come across a book that when you picked it up you knew it was the one you would enjoy? How (Not) To Fall In Love was that story for me. The second I came across the book and read the summary, I was addicted, and that is the books that you won’t get out of your mind even when you reach the ending. I had read few debut authors this past year but How (Not) To Fall In Love was one of my favorites out of all others that I came across so far. What I enjoyed about this particular novel was that it wasn’t just about romance, it had a lot about family and the way it was written, it felt real. The situation that Darcy was dealing with is one I can see happening in real life. A type of books that will keep the reader attention that’s for sure.

Darcy: Have you ever came across a character that you can’t help but love? Darcy was that character for me from the beginning of the book to the end. That’s one tough character, she had deal with so much, her father disappearance, her mother’s drinking. A teen shouldn’t have to deal with something like that, especially not on her own. I don’t think she would made it as far as she did, not without her uncle and of course not without Lucas. I believe if it wasn’t for support that they gave her, she wouldn’t made it as far as she did, she would had a breakdown long before she actually did. It’s clear how much Darcy cared about her father, despite the situation that he left them in when he left. I loved that she wouldn’t give up, not till she found him and made sure that he was okay. How can you not love a character like that? By end of the book I loved her more. She was one of characters who changed most by the end of book.

Of course how can you not love Lucas and Darcy together? Any reader can see that there is tension and a connection between two of characters right from start, just the way that two of them acted around each other. At first I couldn’t actually tell what Lucas though of her, I had feeling that he was sure that she was a spoiled rich girl. As book progressed I saw the signs that Lucas considered her more than friend, which he grew to care about her. I loved that their relationship didn’t go fast like most of novels that I have read tend to be. Lucas & Darcy’s relationship had time to develop and that made it feel more realistic. I was rooting for the two of them all through the book, I wanted for them to be together. Lucas was there for her through it all. I love the family aspect of it as well. It was an emotional story but worth every single page.

I was never supposed to be a rock star. I had my life all planned out for me. Play football in college. Go to the NFL. Marry my high school sweetheart and live happily ever after. '

I broke both our hearts that day when I told her I was leaving. I was young. I made the right decision for me, but the wrong decision for us. I’ve poured my soul into my music, but I’ve never forgotten her. Her smell, her smile.

And now I’m going back.

After ten years.

I hope I can explain that after all this time.

I still want her to be my forever girl.

 ϟ

I had this book on my nook for few months but I didn’t have chance to read it, till recently. The minute that I started it while I was metro I knew that it was going to be book that I would love. Forever My Girl turned out to be better than I expected to be when I read the summary and I was drawn to the characters and the story. Forever My Girl is type of novel that I wished I picked up earlier than this. From moment that I read the summary I wonder what would happen with Liam when he came back, how everyone especially her would react to his appearance. At same time, why shouldn’t they expect him to come? His best friend died. There were multiple times that I shed tears for Mason, he seemed like such decent guy, one of the good ones. The way that he died was tragic too. The story broke my heart, so much emotion, pain. I could feel the grief, the pain along with all of the characters, including Mason’s wife and children. I was glad that Liam was there for them.

Isn’t title catching Forever My Girl, how wouldn’t you want to, be curious what the book is about. Both the title and the cover caught my attention and at first I did wonder about title. As I read the book I figured out why it was called that, it’s because Josie was his forever girl. It’s cute. The cover, you can tell it’s dramatic by looking at the cover of the book, way that they standing so far away on each other on the tracks. The reader can guess by the cover that something happened between two of them, that there was some drift/ distance between Josie and Liam which is who I am sure on the cover of the book. If title of the book won’t capture the attention, the cover would. Not only can you see distance between two of them but also some sort of connection as well. It’s a beautiful cover.

I love that book was both from Josie & Liam’s point of view, that way you got to know each character a bit more and see what they were thinking, feeling. I loved them both even though I had mixed feelings about Liam at beginning of the book. Once I saw how he was with his son, I couldn’t help but love him. There was a connection between her and Josie, even if she tried to deny it for the longest time and I can’t say I blame her, he broke her heart to become a rock star. I did wonder why he didn’t tell her or took her with him. I could see she still had feelings but she was confused because she loved Nick, maybe not way that she loved Liam but she still loved him. Despite that I found myself rooting for Liam and Josie, they had a son together and he loves Liam, they belong together. What they had was a true love even after few years of separation.

Forever My Girl is a love story about mistakes, second changes and grief. If you love a love story with drama in mix, Forever My Girl is a book that you should pick up today. A heartbreaking, emotional story that is worth more than five stars. Beautiful. Engaging.

Bestselling romance author and ardent knitter Debbie Macomber combines both her skills in this novel about a newly opened Seattle yarn shop and the knitting class that brings four women together to make baby blankets. The owner of the shop and her three students produce more than blankets, knitting together bonds of solidarity, friendship, love, hope, and renewal. The book even includes the pattern for the blanket, which was created by premier knitting designer Ann Norling.

When Lydia Hoffman, a cancer survivor and owner of A Good Yarn, starts a knitting class for her patrons, she forms a special friendship and bond with three extraordinary women--Jacqueline, Carol, and Alix--and together they share laughter, heartbreak, and dreams.

 ϟ

I have heard about Debbie Macomber from a friend at work, she loved her work and talked about her few times, and I decided to check her out. I came across Store on Blossom Street at the library and it was first book that I have read by her and I am glad that I picked it up. Have you ever came across an author and minute you read book , knowing you will love it? That was feeling that I got from moment that I picked up novel, I could tell why so many others love Macomber, and I knew that this wouldn’t be the last book I read by her. Not only did I love the characters but they story it, it wasn’t like the other romance stories that I have read in the past. I never knitted but my mom has and I thought it was interesting approach how it brought those women close together. By end of the book all of them had become a tight group, friends.

I loved that it was told from point view of Lydia, Jacqueline, Carol and Alix, it felt like I was reading 4 different stories. Those four women were so different, each one with issues of their own, and yet they found a way to come to each other, be there for one another. Now that’s a friendship that will last for years to come. All four of them had dramatically changed since beginning of the book, I could tell by the way that they were acting and how they were with one another. For instance Jacqueline and Alix I never imagined the two of them becoming friends, there were days that I was sure that two of them kill each other. I was as surprised as Jacqueline was when she came to her rescue. I was glad that two of them were able put past behind them. Lydia overcame another cancer scare and actually formed a relationship with her sister, which I didn’t think would happen.

The women’s stories were filled with so much emotion, especially Carol’s story. I was starting to wonder if it would happen, and yet again Alix to rescue once again. I believe that out of all, she was the most improvement from all of characters, by end of the novel you can’t help but love her. Store On Blossom Street had me going through multiple emotions and it was impossible to put down because I wanted to see what would happen to them all. It was something I was wondering even after I reached the end. A breathtaking journey. Unforgettable stories.

Everyone at Hundred Oaks High knows that career mentoring day is a joke. So when Maya Henry said she wanted to be a rock star, she never imagined she’d get to shadow *the* Jesse Scott, Nashville’s teen idol.

But spending the day with Jesse is far from a dream come true. He’s as gorgeous as his music, but seeing all that he’s accomplished is just a reminder of everything Maya’s lost: her trust, her boyfriend, their band, and any chance to play the music she craves. Not to mention that Jesse’s pushy and opinionated. He made it on his own, and he thinks Maya’s playing back up to other people’s dreams. Does she have what it takes to follow her heart—and go solo?

 ϟ

I am sure that I said before, but I am going say it once again : I’m in love with Miranda’s Hundred Oaks series, I honestly don’t know how you can’t be. I have been a fan since reading first one back in 2012. I have been waiting for Jesse’s Girl since I read the last book, I even pre-ordered months before it was supposed to come out. I officially have most of the books expect Catching Jordan & Breathe Annie, Breathe. It feels more that I read her book, the series and the more I fall in love with the series. I loved fact that both Sam & Jordan were featured in this novel, I love the two of them. I know that it annoyed Maya, but I thought it was cute how protective her brother was over her. Family aspect in this book was so cute, it’s not often that I read such close family like Maya’s. It had me smiling how supportive her family were of her dreams and how Sam drove all way there, because they couldn’t afford plane tickets. Their love warmed my heart and reminded me a lot of my family. That’s a family that will stick by each other, no matter what comes their way.

I love country music, so I was happy fact that Jesse Scott was a country singer. Though I loved Miranda’s other book in the series, I loved that Jesse’s Girl dealt with music, I might not be a singer but I love music. At first I wasn’t sure how to feel about Jesse, especially how he treated Maya when they first met, before the shadow day. I could only imagine how her day would go if that was his attitude the whole day that she had to spend with him. However, Jesse surprised me and it wasn’t long that I loved him just way Maya did. I could tell that he took her by surprise as well, he acted like a completely different person during the shadow day and he was the reason that she decided to go solo, he encouraged her to. The adventures they both had, I could see it so clearly in my mind as I read it and it was amazing. It’s an adventure that I wouldn’t mind having. I did wish that Jesse would stop pushing Maya away because of what happened in his past relationship. I rooted for him to realize that Maya is the one for him.

Jesse’s Girl was a wild ride, a novel that is impossible to put down. From experience any of Miranda’s books are impossible to put down, you have to force yourself to put it down and that’s what I had to do. It’s also type of novel that even after you reached the end, you found yourself thinking about what happens next. Even after I reached the ending I wondered what’s next in store for Maya, Jesse. Miranda is one author whose book I look forward to every single time; all of them have a special place in my heart. I love the stories, the characters. I can’t wait to see whose story she will tell next.

In this breathtaking debut that reads like Gossip Girl crossed with Twin Peaks, a Queen Bee at a blue-blooded New England prep school stumbles into a murder mystery.

Anne Dowling practically runs her exclusive academy on New York’s Upper East Side—that is, until she accidentally burns part of it down and gets sent to a prestigious boarding school outside of Boston. Determined to make it back to New York, Anne couldn't care less about making friends at the preppy Wheatley School. That is, until her roommate Isabella’s body is found in the woods behind the school.

When everyone else is oddly silent, Anne becomes determined to uncover the truth no matter how many rules she has to break to do it. With the help of Isabella’s twin brother Anthony, and a cute classmate named Brent, Anne discovers that Isabella wasn’t quite the innocent nerdy girl she pretended to be. But someone will do anything to stop Anne’s snooping in this fast-paced, unputdownable read—even if it means framing her for Isabella’s murder.

 ϟ

A story that takes places in boarding school? The one that supposed be one of best when a murder occurs. From the moment that I read the summary I knew that I was going love it, it’s my type of story. Mystery. Romance. Adventure. In a way it reminded me a little bit of Gossip Girl series expect with more action and more twists. I got Prep School Confidential a while back on my Nook but didn’t have chance to read and now I wish that I read it sooner. There were a lot going on from the first page to the last and even then you wondered what was going happen, considering the staff of school are keeping secrets. You can’t help but wonder what else they are hiding. I was and I wanted to pick up next book in series right away to see what adventures they will face next, what secrets they would recover. You can’t help but be curious.

Anne, now that is one kick ass character and you can’t help but love her. Anne is unlike any other main character out there, at least not when it comes to stories like these. She doesn’t take crap from anybody and once she sets her mind on something, she won’t let it go till she reaches the conclusion. In this case it was solving Isabella’s murder. Even after she got the threating notes to stop digging, Anne wouldn’t stop till she found out who the killer was. Every page, every chapter had me in ancipation to keep me wondering of what is going to happen next. There wasn’t a single page in the book that didn’t have curious about what is going to happen next. I felt like I was attempting to solve the murder along with Anna, and I was curious why Isabella was killed, she was one character that I loved from start. Why would anyone have a reason to kill her? Outcome was unexpected; the last person I thought could be cable of something like that. I was blown away.

Prep School Confidential had everything that I love about book, mystery, thriller, romance and a lot of twists that you don’t see coming. I love fact that you find yourself guessing who the killer all through the book is. One thing I couldn’t decide on is which guy I prefer Anne with, Anthony or Brett, I loved them both and I believe that both of them had chemistry with her, each in a different way. I didn’t like how things ended between her and Anthony so maybe it wasn’t meant to be or maybe he just didn’t want to admit how much he cared about her. I couldn’t believe that this was Taylor’s debut novel. I am excited to see what adventures and what troubles Anna will get into next.

Gia owes him a favor and his sister intends to see that he collects: his ex-girlfriend's graduation party—three hours, zero commitment, a few white lies.

Just when Gia begins to wonder if she could turn her fake boyfriend into a real one, Bradley comes waltzing back into her life, exposing her lie, and threatening to destroy her friendships and her new-found relationship.

 ϟ

Did you ever pick up a book by author, which stories blew you away and you couldn’t get enough of? Kasie West is one of those authors for me, I have read 3 of her books so far and I loved every single one of them. West has a way to capture reader’s attention right from start and by time that you finish the book you fill find yourself falling in love with characters. The Fill In Boyfriend wasn’t any different, I had a feeling like I was going through the emotions, the journey that Gia was. I felt everything that she did. I didn’t want to put the book down, at least not till I reached the ending. I needed to see what happened, if she would get her happily ever after. Despite what she did, how she lied to her friends I rooted for her through the whole book. However once I reached the end I was thinking about then, wondering what’s next for them.

Gia & Hayden : Come on, how can you not love them? Even if it started as pretend, fake date at the prom, there was something between the two of them from start. I don’t believe that Hayden only agreed to do it after witnessing break up between her & Bradley. I believe that he felt something for her from start; he just didn’t want to admit it at first. I know for fact that there feelings for him, otherwise why would she still be thinking about him after prom? Trying to find a way to get in touch with him. There was chemistry between two of them, and I keep wondering how long it would take them to figure it out. Even Bec saw that there was something there. Of course when they finally figured that out I found myself smiling. Both Hayden and Gia deserved their happily ever after, and he was much better for her than Bradley ever was.

Once a while you come across a character in book that you can’t stand, no matter how you try to like them. Jules was that person for me, I tried to like her since Gia’s friend seemed to but I couldn’t see what they saw in her. How could they see any good in her? Considering how badly she treated Gia half of time, if I were here I would had enough a long time. That’s not a real friend. Once I found out that she did all that so she could steal the only good friend from Gia, I hated her. She’s one character that I couldn’t like no matter how hard I tried. I don’t know how anyone put up with her.

I loved the family aspect in this novel, it reminded me a lot of relationship that I have with my parents. It’s not often that teens have such good relationship with their parents. I loved how both Hayden and Gia had that. This isn’t just a romance novel; it’s a book about family, friendships. The book is filled with emotions so be ready for a roller coaster ride. Can’t wait to see what adventures West will come up with next.

These are the secrets that were swept away with her the night that Shane’s jeep plunged into an icy river, leaving behind a grieving town and no bodies to bury.

Reading Julianna’s journal gives Parker the courage to start to really live—and it also gives her reasons to question what really happened the night of the accident. Armed with clues from the past, Parker enlists the help of her best friend, Kat, and Trevor, her longtime crush, to track down some leads. The mystery ends up taking Parker places that she never could have imagined. And she soon finds that taking the road less traveled makes all the difference.

This novel was… I almost don’t know how to describe it; there are so many emotions that are going through me right now. I believe that the book was what title implies… Golden. It was the 3rd novel that I have read by Jessi Kirby and so far it’s my favorite. It had been a while since I read book by Kirby and after reading Golden I remembered why I loved her so much, she’s one of those authors that you should watch out for because she won’t disappoint you. Kirby is amazing storyteller, and has a way to hook the reader from minute that you open the first page till you close the last one. It took me two days to read the book because not did I not want to put it down, I couldn’t force myself to put it down and only did because I had to. There were multiple times during night that I ended up staying up later than usually so that I could see what happens next. Every time that I turned the page, I always found myself asking the same question, will she find her? What happens after? This isn’t only Parker’s story; it’s also Julianna’s.

Golden wasn’t what I expected it to be, but that’s what I love about Kirby there are always unexpected twists and turns. Golden wasn’t any different, and how can you not love the title Golden doesn’t that all together has a mystery added to it? I knew that the book would be mysterious from moment that I read the summary for the book, but I didn’t think it would be that mysterious. There were so many emotions through this novel and I felt like I was feeling them along with Parker, Julianna and even Kat. I felt anger, sadness, fear, hope. All through the book I found myself hoping that she would be able to find Julianna and that she could reunite the couple that you could tell belong with each other. Julianna’s reaction was not what I expected to be but once she explained the story, I understood it. How could you come back after something like that? Though Parker ended up disappointed, she took a risk, something that she haven’t had courage to before.

I had always loved travel book, but this wasn’t just a road trip, Parker was on mission. To find Julianna and reunite true love and in way she succeeded, even if it took Julianna a bit to realize it. Not many people out there what do what Parker did. How can you not love a character like that? She barely knew them, yet she traveled all that way to find her once she had a feeling that she might still be alive after reading her journal. In a way it’s a good thing that she came across the journal and ended up reading it, I would never got courage to read it. That was another part that I loved in the book, Julianna’s journal. Emotions that were described in her journal, her doubts, her confusion were heartbreaking but yet beautiful. It’s no wonder that Parker got hooked into it and invested in Julianna’s story, the real story, the one that nobody else was aware of.

Golden was a beautiful, inspirational, heartbreaking story about family, love and hope. A story that everyone should check out. I was blown away and I still thinking about it while I am writing the review. You won’t forget.

Only her best friend, Jason, listens. Jason, who’s always been there. Jason, for whom she might have more-than-friendly feelings. But before Aza can consider that thrilling idea, something goes terribly wrong. Aza is lost to our world—and found, by another. Magonia.

Above the clouds, in a land of trading ships, Aza is not the weak and dying thing she was. In Magonia, she can breathe for the first time. Better, she has immense power—and as she navigates her new life, she discovers that war is coming. Magonia and Earth are on the cusp of a reckoning. And in Aza’s hands lies the fate of the whole of humanity—including the boy who loves her. Where do her loyalties lie?

What a breathtaking, beautiful novel. Magonia was not what I had expected it to be and unlike any other books out there and I know I have said that before, but Magonia was the most rare book that I have read this summer. Now that’s an imagination, ships in sky, bird people. There were few confusing parts in the book that I had hard time understanding at first, I had to re-read it couple times but once I did, I had force myself to put the novel down. There were few times that I found myself reading late into night because I got so fascinated with the story, the characters and I wanted to see where the story would lead them next. Most of all I was fascinated by Aza’s story and wanted to see what would happen to her next, if she would find her place. A place where she would belong. I know that it was a fantasy but the way that it was written, it felt real to me and I saw it as I read the story.

My emotions were all over place in this novel, Headley knows a way to hook the reader and make him feel what the characters were feeling. I felt how Aza was feeling and to me I felt as I was suffocating along with Aza while she was on earth when she couldn’t breathe. When she died on earth, and how Headley described that it had caused the tears come to my eyes while I was reading it. I believe that I was feeling the emotions that her parents and Jason felt put together. It was beautifully written and filled with so a lot of pain, emotion that it was heartbreaking for me. I believe that this was the most beautiful written novel that I have read this year; I could not tear my eyes away from it. Also the love that Jason and Aza felt for one another, that was beautiful and if that is not true love then I don’t know what is.

Story, characters weren’t only what I loved about this book, I fell in love with the cover. That was the first what captured about the book was the cover, when I saw it, the cover captured my attention and I picked up the book because I was curious about it. When I saw the golden feather and the birds coming out I was curious about it, if it somehow had something to do with the title and of course the story. Now that I read the story, I realize that the cover pretty much covers the main theme of the story and even if you don’t know what story is about, it will hook you and it will have you picking up the book. I loved every part of the book, only part I didn’t fit too well with story is Jason’s story. I liked him and I loved how much he cared about Aza but I felt like it took away from the storyline of the book. I am happy that him and Aza got their happily after. I am curious if this book will end up a series because I feel like their adventures is not over.

If you love fantasy and looking for something different, Magonia is a book you should pick up today. A magical story that you won’t forget.
