Harry Potter's third year at Hogwarts is full of new dangers. A convicted murderer, Sirius Black, has broken out of Azkaban prison, and it seems he's after Harry. Now Hogwarts is being patrolled by the dementors, the Azkaban guards who are hunting Sirius. But Harry can't imagine that Sirius or, for that matter, the evil Lord Voldemort could be more frightening than the dementors themselves, who have the terrible power to fill anyone they come across with aching loneliness and despair.

Meanwhile, life continues as usual at Hogwarts. A top-of-the-line broom takes Harry's success at Quidditch, the sport of the Wizarding world, to new heights. A cute fourth-year student catches his eye. And he becomes close with the new Defense of the Dark Arts teacher, who was a childhood friend of his father. Yet despite the relative safety of life at Hogwarts and the best efforts of the dementors, the threat of Sirius Black grows ever closer. But if Harry has learned anything from his education in wizardry, it is that things are often not what they seem.

Brilliant. Magical.

I loved every page, but then how can you not? It’s Harry Potter, which happens to be one of my favorite series. This isn’t first time that I read HARRY POTTER AND THE PRISONER OF AZKABAN and it won’t be the last. I know that I read it before, and it seems that every time I re-read it, I fall more in love with it. You can’t help but get into story every time. That’s what happened to me this time around, I couldn’t seem to get enough even if I knew what was coming. HARRY POTTER AND THE PRISONER OF AZKABAN seemed more intense, and even though I liked the first two books, this one had a lot more going on. There were more tension, more action and not a single page where you didn’t find yourself what’s to come next. Even if you wanted to, you wouldn’t be able to put the book down. I couldn’t.

Sirus Black : That is one character that you can’t help but be curious about, at least in the beginning. How can you not be? I know that I was from beginning, I couldn’t help but wonder why he was after Harry. Why just him? I was sure he was the bad guy, just like Harry assumed and everyone else assumed. But by the end of the book, Sirus had became one of my favorite characters. I was glad that Harry had someone else that he could come to. I hope that the two of them be able to reunite sometime soon, thought I don’t see that happening anytime soon since he is supposed to be in hiding, since he is still considered a dangerous criminal. Knowing Sirus, I know that he will find a way to see Harry if he has to.

There is two characters I am still having trouble liking, Snape and Draco. It’s almost impossible to like them. I feel like Snape let’s Draco get away with anything, yet Harry gets in trouble nonstop. I still can’t help but wonder what Snape has against Harry, if there a reason for his dislike for Harry. It feels like in every book he seems to get more cold towards Harry. At least that is a feeling that I get. Draco, always finds to taunt Harry and not just him, but his friends too. Yet he never gets in trouble for it. I have feeling those two are characters that I will never be fond of.

Another amazing addition to Harry Potter Series. Re -reading it, makes me realize why I fell in love with series to begin with.

it's almost
time for war.

Juliette has escaped to Omega Point. It is a place for people like her—people with gifts—and it is also the headquarters of the rebel resistance.

She's finally free from The Reestablishment, free from their plan to use her as a weapon, and free to love Adam. But Juliette will never be free from her lethal touch.

Or from Warner, who wants Juliette more than she ever thought possible.

In this exhilarating sequel to Shatter Me, Juliette has to make life-changing decisions between what she wants and what she thinks is right. Decisions that might involve choosing between her heart—and Adam's life.

UPDATED REVIEW 01/15/2018

I cannot get enough of this… My emotions, they are all over the place right now, and I am not sure if I can explain it at this moment. It’s not first time I read UNRAVEL ME don’t you love the title? Yet, I feel as it was first time I read it, I was completely blown away, more than the first time. Usually the first book in series cannot compare to rest of the series. For this series, it was the opposite for me. I loved SHATTER ME but it was nothing compared to this one, I loved it even more than the first one. I think it’s due to fact that UNRAVEL ME had a lot more going on, and at the end, having me on edge of my seat, leaving me with questions. A part of me wanted to pick up the book and read it again not long after I reached the last page. I want to tell everyone about this book. Re-reading was as if I reunited with a longtime friend after not seeing them for long time.

Adam & Warner: Don’t get me wrong, I love Adam, how can you not? I loved how he is with Juliette, I know he loves her. I disliked Warner in SHATTER ME , how could I not after what he put Juliette through? I even had hard time believing that he cared about her. I know that I shouldn’t like him, and like Juliette my emotions towards Warner were conflicted. However, that did not take long and by end of book, Warner became one of my favorite character along with Juliette. I know that Juliette loves Adam, I can tell that she does. There is connection between her and Warner that she doesn’t have with Adam, even if she doesn’t want to admit that. She cares for him, more that she should. I know that she confused about Adam too, but Warner feels like a different person when he is with her. I agree with him, they should be together. I do wonder if Warner’s thoughts towards Adam changes once he finds out that they are brothers.

Kenji : Firs off, I love the name, it’s unique and it firs him perfectly. He was another character I didn’t like when I first met him. He was rude and though so highly of himself. I didn’t know how anyone could possibly like him. It seemed that everyone was fond of him at Omega Point, especially Castle. As I read the book, my feelings for him changed and he became one of my favorite characters as well. He didn’t take pity on Juliette and I believe because of him, she got as far as she did. I liked that not once did he give up on her, or stayed away from her like others seemed to when she first arrived. I’m eager to see what happens with him next.

I don’t think there is anything I didn’t love about UNRAVEL ME . I fell in love with this story, the characters more. I have feeling that I will be re-reading these books multiple times in future. If you love science fiction, dystopian with romance in mix, you should pick up this series. You will find yourself wishing that you picked up sooner. A story that you will talk long after you finish it, a story that will stay with you.

Be ready for a thrilling ride.

I have a curse
I have a gift

I am a monster
I'm more than human

My touch is lethal
My touch is power

I am their weapon

I will fight back

Juliette hasn’t touched anyone in exactly 264 days.

The last time she did, it was an accident, but The Reestablishment locked her up for murder. No one knows why Juliette’s touch is fatal. As long as she doesn’t hurt anyone else, no one really cares. The world is too busy crumbling to pieces to pay attention to a 17-year-old girl. Diseases are destroying the population, food is hard to find, birds don’t fly anymore, and the clouds are the wrong color.

The Reestablishment said their way was the only way to fix things, so they threw Juliette in a cell. Now so many people are dead that the survivors are whispering war – and The Reestablishment has changed its mind. Maybe Juliette is more than a tortured soul stuffed into a poisonous body. Maybe she’s exactly what they need right now.

Juliette has to make a choice: Be a weapon. Or be a warrior.

Have you ever came across that one series, no matter how many times you read it. Every time you seem to fall in love with story more? SHATTER ME is that series for me. I decided to re – read it and it has been a while since I read it last time. From moment that I started reading it again, I remember why I loved this book so much, why I keep re-reading it. SHATTER ME is breathtaking, magical story that will stay with you long after you come to the last page. Even if I read it before and knew what was coming, I was still on the edge of my seat. I spent hours reading , mostly because I could not force myself to put it down and made me glad that it’s weekend so I had more time to read.

SHATTER ME is unlike any Young Adult Fantasy book I read before, and I had read a lot through the years. TAHEREH MAFI has a style that is unlike any style that I read before, and she has a way to hook a reader to story from first sentence. Every page, every chapter pulled me more into a story and that was one of reasons that it was impossible to put the book down. Just when you think that you reached a stopping point, she will pull you back into story. SHATTER ME didn’t have a single page where there wasn’t something going on, Just when you think that nothing else can surprise you, there is another twist you don’t see coming. Like Warner able to touch Juliette like Adam can.

Juliette, I loved her from the start. I can’t even begin to imagine how it must felt to not be able to touch anyone. I don’t think I would lasted as long as she had, if I were in her situation I would given up a long time ago. Especially being isolated for as long as she had been, that would drive me crazy. I feel like things got a bit easier for Juliette once Adam got there, and fact that he could touch her too. I think for first time in a while, she was happy. I loved the two of them together. The way he watched her, and how was willing to risk his life to protect her. That’s love. I was glad that they were able to escape and get away from there. I do know that Warner won’t give up, not until he finds her.

Beautifully written, a must read. I feel like this book deserves more than 5 stars.

Sixteen-year-old Starr Carter moves between two worlds: the poor neighborhood where she lives and the fancy suburban prep school she attends. The uneasy balance between these worlds is shattered when Starr witnesses the fatal shooting of her childhood best friend Khalil at the hands of a police officer. Khalil was unarmed.

Soon afterward, his death is a national headline. Some are calling him a thug, maybe even a drug dealer and a gangbanger. Protesters are taking to the streets in Khalil's name. Some cops and the local drug lord try to intimidate Starr and her family. What everyone wants to know is: what really went down that night? And the only person alive who can answer that is Starr.

But what Starr does or does not say could upend her community. It could also endanger her life.

How did I not read this book earlier? I know for face, THE HATE U GIVE a story that will stay with me for years to come. It’s still on my mind. This beautiful story deserves more than 5 stars, a classic. I heard people talking about it when it came out, and when I started it THE HATE U GIVE I couldn’t blame them. My favorite book of 2018, so far. Not long after reading the book, I was inspired to work on my own novel. I know that I can’t relate to what happened to Starr, to her friend Kahill and as I read Starr’s story, I felt as I could, as if I was there along with Starr, experiencing her fear, anger, confusion and grief. THE HATE U GIVE is a book that everyone should read, I would highly recommend it. I feel as if THE HATE U GIVE will end up one of those books that will stay on bestsellers list for months to come, a story that nobody would forget.

I can’t even begin to imagine how Starr felt, once she saw Kahill get shot by police officer. It didn’t take him long to assume, and that’s all it took. If it were me, I don’t think I would been able to handle like Starr did. I loved how supportive both of her parents were, and how they were always there and I believe that’s what helped her. Of course i’m sure it’s one event that she would forget, considering it’s a 2nd friend that she saw get shot. How can you forget something this tragic? It’s hard to see one friend get shot at 10 years old, but two and one at hands of police, who are supposed to protect you. I agree with Starr, it shouldn’t happened and the officer shouldn’t gotten away with it. After Starr repeated her story over again, that must been horrible to have relieve that day over again. Like Starr, I wasn’t surprised that he didn’t get arrested. I would been angry too if I were in Starr’s situation, though I don’t think I would have the courage to do what she did once she found out.

I loved Chris. A lot of people including her father were in shock that Starr was dating a white guy. I can’t blame Starr for not telling her father when she started dating, considering how he reacted when he found out. Towards the end, I could tell that he was starting to warm up to him. I loved how Chris was with Starr, despite how her friends, her family treated him at first, that didn’t scare him. He didn’t care what others thought of them, all that mattered to him was her. I figured out that he loved her, before he said it. I hope that the two of them would end up with each other in the end. Those two belonged together, and I think that it didn’t take their friends long to accept that. Chris is who she needed, to help her thorught this, and I think that she should let him in sooner that she did. I am glad that she finally did.

A beautiful, heartaching, magnificent debut novel by ANGIE THOMAS , an author who already one of my favorites. I can’t wait to see what Thomas has in store for us next.

When River is forced to kill one of those men, the chase becomes even deadlier. Not only is the powerful drug boss after them, the Brazilian government is on their trail as well.

Will the two lovers escape--and will River ever be free of the bloody memories that haunt him?

A stunning, heart aching love story.

I had been fan of CHAD MICHAEL MURRAY since he appeared on One Tree Hill and when I found out that he Co-wrote a book, I knew that I had to check it out. Romance, thriller seemed like my type of book. I didn’t have high expectations when I picked the book, since it was Chad’s first book, and I never read book by HEATHER GRAHAM before picking up this one. Did not take me long into I was hooked into the story. I ended up reading it most of the night, I didn’t want to put it down. There wasn’t a page, a chapter where something wasn’t happening. I got so observed in River’s adventures and I wanted to see where it would take him, if he would be able to escape the past that was haunting him. I also wondered if he would return back home or if he would remain in Brazil.

Not only did I love the names, River and Natal, which are most unique names that I came across in a book. I loved the relationship between the two of them, it was clear for me how the two of them fell about each other, even before they admitted it. I believe that River was more at peace when he was with Natal, she made him forget what he faced while he was in military, for a while. The adventures that Natal and River went on while in Brazil, most of them sounded breathtaking. I never been to Brazil, and while I read AMERICAN DRIFTER I imagined that I was there, along with River and Natal. Their journey seemed magical. At least most of it was, up until towards the end. I did not expect that twist at the end, it came as complete shock to me. I couldn’t help but wonder which part of adventures that River went while in Brazil were real. That ending added a bit more mystery to the story.

AMERICAN DRIFTER was a first book I read by HEATHER GRAHAM and I heard a lot about author and now I see why. I am eager to pick up the other books that she had written now. As for CHAD MICHAEL MURRAY astonishing debut novel and I am hoping that he writes more in future. If you love romance with suspense and thriller in mix, I would highly recommend AMERICAN DRIFTER .

But at every turn, the Master finds a way to stop her, and Penny must find a way to escape the school and uncover the secrets of her past before it’s too late.

What a thrilling ride!

THE MIDNIGHT DANCE was one of most thrilling books that I read, this year. I have read few Swoon Reads titles through the years, so when I saw that another one was coming, I was excited. Cover and the title was the first what captured my attention, what a beautiful cover, don’t you think. The title, THE MIDNIGHT DANCE was what sparked my curiosity about the story. Looking at both title and cover, I wondered why that title. Once I read the summary, I was hooked to the story and I had feeling that it would be a book that I would enjoy. There was a lot going on in THE MIDNIGHT DANCE and each chapter would have you craving for more. One more chapter would turn into another and another. I found myself reading for hours without realizing.

Penny, such a brave, strong character. With everything that she gone through, what master put her through. Yet, not once did she give up. I can’t imagine how confused she must been when her memories started to come back, the memories that she wasn’t sure were hers. I was glad that Cricket was there to help her out, to try get her away from Master, to help her remember. Most of all, stand by her side through it all. It was clear how Cricket felt about Penny from beginning, the way he looked at her, looked out for her. How he saved her from Master conducting more treatments on her. I think, NIKKI KATZ did an amazing job by first devolping friendship and slowly leading into something more. That made Penny and Cricket’s relationship realistic. I was happy to see that Penny had someone by her side who loved her for who she was, protected her and made her happy.

I already have a feeling that NIKKI KATZ will be an author to look out for. I am already eager to see what other adventure she will take me on next. A beautiful, magical debut novel.
