What an incredible journey.

There are almost no words to describe how I feel about this book. It was… breathtaking, heart aching, inspirational. I did not want to put it down, MY SISTER’S SECRET will have you hooked from the first page till the last. Once you reached the end, you will be filled with emotions and it will take you a bit to gather them all. That’s the feeling that I had when I reached the end. MY SISTER’S SECRET will take you on a journey that you will never forget. I could not get enough of characters, especially Willow’s mother, Charity. Her adventures were incredible and you couldn’t help but wonder what was going to come for her next. How she ended up where she was? A thought I had from the start. A type of story that you will be thinking long after you reach the end, I still am. Had me wishing that I picked up earlier than I had.

I loved both Charity and Willow, both of them had incredible journey. However, Charity was my favorite and it was her story which were filled with so many secrets. Just when you thought that was the end of secrets, another discovery comes along. I did wonder how she ended up with Dan, when it was clear that it was Niall that she loved. It was the two of them that had connection and not Dan and Charity. They had a connection but it was nothing like her and Niall. The two of them always seemed to find a way back to each other, no matter how much they tried avoid each other, and way that Charity tried to deny it. I do wonder if she would tried to deny it, if it wasn’t for her sister Hope. I feel like Hope was one in denial because she was angry at him, because of what happened to their sister, Faith. There were so many secrets between that family, I don’t know how they made it through it all. I’m not sure if I would been able handle it if I was in that situation. They were strong, and brave.

I loved reading both Charity and Willow stories. I think that it was incredible of Willow to go so far, to find out the truth. Despite everything that happened, she did not give up. Not once. That’s dedication right there. You can’t help but love Willow. I couldn’t get enough of this novel, it was page turner, a masterpiece. This was the first novel that I read by TRACY BUCHANAN and it won’t be the last. I cannot wait to check out rest of her works.

Intriguing, beautiful tale.

For as a long as I remember I loved fairy tales retellings, but then I am fan of fairy tales to begin with. I love to see what twists an author would put on fairy tales, especially my favorite ones. Little Red Riding Hood has always been one of my favorites as a kid, I even read to my students at daycare that I work at. That’s very memorable story. LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD:WEREWOLF SLAYER Is the 2nd Riding Hood re-telling that I have read and I was blown away. It was unlike any fairy tale re-telling that I had read, a fairy tale that will have you see Little Red Hood in completely different light, instead of Little Red Riding Hood it’s Red Hood in training. LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD: WEREWOLF SLAYER was just the type of the book that I love. It had action, adventure and of course, revenge. I couldn’t get enough of this book and once I started it reading it, I couldn’t put it down till I reached the end.

The one downfall of this book was fact that it was short, shorter than I thought it would be. Once I reached the end, I was craving for more. I wanted, no needed to see what happens with rest of characters next, especially Giselle and Allison. Would she find her? If she killed her own sister so that she could get Red Hood, I am sure if meant getting the hood, she would come after Giselle as well. Giselle had grown up pretty fast in this book, mostly because she had no choice after her mother was murdered. Honestly I am not sure how she stayed as brave as she did after what happened. First her mother murdered in front of her, followed by werewolf’s hunting her down, finding out her mother’s secret. That’s a lot to handle for someone who is only 16 years old. To me, Giselle was brave cause no matter what was going on, she didn’t give up.

An astonishing re –telling of Little Red Riding Hood. I am happy that I got to read and review this novel, it was worth it. I am eager to see what adventures Giselle will face next. I can’t wait to get my hands on rest of the series. If you are fan on fairy tales, re-telling with a twist, a dark twist be sure to pick this book up. Be ready for a thrilling ride.

I didn't ask for any of this. I didn't ask to be some kind of hero.

But when your whole life gets swept up by a tornado - taking you with it - you have no choice but to go along, you know?

Sure, I've read the books. I've seen the movies. I know the song about the rainbow and the happy little bluebirds. But I never expected Oz to look like this. To be a place where Good Witches can't be trusted, Wicked Witches may just be the good guys, and winged monkeys can be executed for acts of rebellion. There's still a yellow brick road - but even that's crumbling.

What happened? Dorothy.

They say she found a way to come back to Oz. They say she seized power and the power went to her head. And now no one is safe.

My name is Amy Gumm - and I'm the other girl from Kansas.

I've been recruited by the Revolutionary Order of the Wicked.

I've been trained to fight.

And I have a mission

As kid and teen Wizard Of Oz had always been one of my favorite fairy tales, I still remember re-reading it multiple times. I was in love with whole concept. It was magical. I wasn’t sure how I would feel about DOROTHY MUST DIE considering that Dorothy was my favorite in original story. I noticed that quite few people were talking about it and the summary sounded interesting and I decided it give book a chance. I don’t regret it, I found it more enjoyable that I thought I would. Oz wasn’t the magical world that I remembered reading about, because of Dorothy and to me, that’s what was interesting about this book. I knew that it was Oz, Emerald City but I felt like I entered a completely different magical world. A world destroyed by a girl who let power get the best of her. Dorothy wasn’t the sweet, innocent girl I remember, nor where scarecrow, tin woodman and lion. I think it was interesting reading about them in a different point of view. Of course I couldn’t help but wonder how it all made them that way, and why. It was not long till I wanted Dorothy destroyed, especially after I seen how she treated others if she disliked their actions. She had turned into a monster.

Character who seemed to go most chances was Amy. I saw how much she changed from before she arrived to Oz, to when she went on her mission. I see quite few changes while reading the novel. You couldn’t help but admire her and her courage. Amy, she went through so much and faced obstacles on way and her life was put in constant danger, especially once she went undercover in Dorothy’s place as her maid. There was not a moment where I didn’t find myself worried that she would be discovered. DOROTHY MUST DIE had me on the edge of seat constantly, waiting to see what would occur next, if Amy would accomplish her mission. I am eager to pick up the next book in the series next and see if Amy succeeds in her mission in killing her. An unique twist to Wizard Of Oz .

A book started out a bit slow for me, it seemed to drag a bit too much at start. However once Amy landed in Oz, it picked up fast and afterwards I was hooked. The Oz, despite being different it was still magical and because of the astonishing descriptions in the novel, I could picture every part of it. That made the book even more magical, I couldn’t get enough of Amy and Dorothy’s story. After that ending, I’m more curious about ending than ever. Most of all I am curious where Dorothy vanished of too. If you love fairy tales, or fan of Wizard of Oz and re-telling with twist. DOROTHY MUST DIE is a book for you, filled with lots of mystery, suspense and action. A page turner.

CRYSTALLUM was an astonishing page turner, and not what I had expected it to be. Beginning was a bit confusing for me and the first few pages I wasn’t sure what was happening and I found myself re-reading the parts in attempt to understand what was going on. Despite that, I did want to see what happened next with both Kade and Cole. However after few pages I started to figure things out and afterwards not a day passed where I didn’t want to pick up the book and find out what’s going to come next for both of characters, but especially for Kade. I could tell that she was confused of what was going on with her and there is part of me that wondered if she would have figured out, if it wasn’t for Cole. Every page, every chapter, every sentence will have you on the edge of your seat, will have you asking the question ‘ What happens next?’ Come on, how can you not with everything that happens to Kade, to Cole. I feel that it might be a book that take bit to get into it, but once you do, there is a big chance that you will have hard time putting it down. I did not want to stop, on multiple occasions I actually had force myself put it down because of studying, because it was getting late. It was if I couldn’t get enough of Cole and Kade’s story. I feel that I still can’t.

You could tell from start that there was a connection, some sort of attraction between Kade and Cole from start, from the time that two of them met. Way that Kade seemed to want come to his rescue because of Shadows, and how she seemed to get nervous around him. Most of all how afterwards Cole made it his duty to find a way to protect Kade, even though he barely knew her at that moment, expect that she was different. If that does not scream attraction, then what does? Their attraction wasn’t like any other couples, it seemed like for a while Kade tried to deny the attraction that she had for Cole. Even her friends seemed to have noticed before she had. I was rooting and waiting for them through most of the book, to get together. Anyone could see that the two of them belonged together. I can’t help but wonder what would happen between the two of them next. The two of them were my favorite characters through the whole book.

A magical story. CRYSTALLUM was the first novel that I have read by LANEY MCMANN and it won’t be the last one. Even if it’s first book, the first series that I have read by her, I am hooked. This author had an imagination, and has a way of having both the characters and the story feel real. The descriptions, I am not even sure how to describe them but each one of them were so vivid, I could picture everything, even the one that was fantasy based. To me, that had a more realistic taste to the story. I could not get enough of the story, the character’s adventures and challenges. CRYSTALLUM was incredible, unlike any fantasy story that I have read before. It felt unique to me. A story that I wished that I came across sooner. Magical story about love, friendship, discovery and power.

Model Finley needs someone to help her shed her "good girl" persona, so she'll try Eddie on for size.

New York City model Finley is fed up with hearing the same feedback at castings: she needs to take some serious action to wipe the "good girl" stamp from her resume if she wants to launch to stardom.

Enter Eddie Wells. He's shallow, predictable…and just as lost as Finley feels. Deep down, Finley is drawn to Eddie's bravado, his intensity. Except Eddie is hiding something. A big something. And when it surfaces, both loving and leaving Finley will become so much harder.

I wasn’t sure what to expect from this novel. Author JULIE CROSS who I read before and the cover along with the title captured my attention first. Can you not look at that gorgeous cover and not wonder about it? The way that two of them looking at one another and how she’s kissing him, you know that there is a story there and as a reader you will wonder what that story is. On top of that the title YOU BEFORE ANYONE ELSE doesn’t that capture your attention as well? Get you to wonder if there a story behind that title. I was. I haven’t read a lot books about models or celebs of any sort but I am glad that I read YOU BEFORE ANYONE ELSE It was a story that you will never forget. Even as I came to end and put the novel down I was still thinking about it, I was still thinking about Eddie and Finley and wondering, what’s next for them? . I was going back and forth about wanting to see how it ends and not wanting to come to end due to fact how attached I became to Eddie and Finley. They two of them became real for me. I could feel almost everything that the two of them felt. Those two became like my friends.

I had never read anything by MARK PERINI before but after reading YOU BEFORE ANYONE ELSE I am curious to check out what other stuff he had written. It fit the story well, alerting between Eddie and Finley’s story. Reading from both of their point view, you got a better feel of each character. If I got asked which character was my favorite I don’t think that I would be able to pick because I loved both Eddie and Finley. The two of them were unique in their own way. You could tell while you read the book, the significant change that the both characters went through. I felt like they were two completely different people by the time that I came to the end of the novel. Their love story started out differently. It started out as one nightstand to love. It’s not often that something like that happens. But way that Finley was there supporting Eddie when he was trying get custody of his kid, and when he gave up his kid, it had me smiling. I knew that it was love before even the two of them did. I loved the scenes between the two of them, most of them had me smiling. Of course I was rooting for two of them halfway through the book.

I thought the beginning started out just a bit slow, and I was little bit confused the first few pages. However that didn’t last long. Afterwards I could not put the book down and I only put it down when I had to. YOU BEFORE ANYONE ELSE was filled with quite bit of heartache, especially with all the drama that went with Eddie, his family and his child. My heart broke from him multiple times, but most when he decided give the baby to the family that Caroline picked out. I can’t even begin to imagine what he must been going through at that time. This wasn’t just a love story but it dealt with family, acceptance, responsibility, hope and following your dreams. I couldn’t get enough of Eddie and Finley’s story. It was astonishing. The emotions, the dialogue and the descriptions made a book more real. Finley and Eddie’s story is something that I can see happening in real life. I had enjoyed reading their story and I can’t wait to see what other stories JULIE CROSS & MARC PERINI comes up with next.

Be ready for a thrilling ride!
