The sequel to TRUST ME, I’M LYING

Staying out of trouble isn’t possible for Julep Dupree. She has managed not to get kicked out of her private school, even though everyone knows she’s responsible for taking down a human-trafficking mob boss—and getting St. Agatha’s golden-boy Tyler killed in the process. Running cons holds her guilty conscience at bay, but unfortunately, someone wants Julep to pay for her mistakes . . . with her life.

Against her better judgment, Julep takes a shady case that requires her to infiltrate a secretive organization that her long-gone mother and the enigmatic blue fairy may be connected to. Her best friend, Sam, isn’t around to stop her, and Dani, her one true confidante, happens to be a nineteen-year-old mob enforcer whose moral compass is as questionable as Julep’s. But there’s not much time to worry about right and wrong—or to save your falling heart—when there’s a contract on your head.

Murders, heists, secrets and lies, hit men and hidden identities . . . If Julep doesn’t watch her back, it’s her funeral. No lie.

TRUST ME, I’M TROUBLE is just a type of books that I love. Crime, cons, adventure with romance added in the mix, the most unexpected romance. I have been wondering what happened to Julep from moment I read TRUST ME, I’M LYING back in January 2015. I got admit that I loved Julep more in this book then the first one, she seemed more together and tougher. Even though she had her moments, that didn’t hold her back from what needed to be done. If I were in her situation especially once I found there was contract out there for me, to be killed, I would stayed away, I would kept on down low. That didn’t stop Julep, she was on mission to find her mother and the blue fairy and nobody was going to put a stop to it. I loved fact that she didn’t take no for an answer, she’s a strong, determined main character. My favorite were the descriptions of her adventures, each was so vivid that I could picture each one of them in my mind, and that had we wondering what adventures she might come across next. MARY ELIZABETH SUMMER creates a world that becomes a reality and a world you get drawn to.

JULEP & DANI: That was unexpected. Most of time I can tell what kind of romance might happen but this wasn’t one of them. After TRUST ME, I’M LYING ended I had feeling that Sam and Julep might end up together, but not Julep and Dani, it didn’t cross my mind even once. I wasn’t disappointed, as you probably guessed I loved the romance between the two of them, though it wasn’t what you expect romance to be. Most of all because Julep was in denial at first and it didn’t look like Dani was returning those feelings, or even if she came close, she ended up pushing her away. By time that Julep saved Dani, I knew that what she had wasn’t just a crush, she was in love with her. Of course when something finally occurred between two of them, she was taken away from her. Julep can’t seem to catch a break. I do hope that it’s not end of them, I hope that they will be brought together again.

I cannot express how much I loved this book. I feel like I enjoyed it more than I did the first one, and that doesn’t happen often for me. There was more action and more happening that the first book and it was reason that I finished it fast, I couldn’t get enough. This can’t possible be the end, especially not after ending like that. I need know what happens now, I am not sure I can wait till the next book comes out. I am hoping that the wait is not that long. Do you love adventure, mystery and crime novels? Do you want read a novel that will have you craving for next one? TRUST ME, I’M TROUBLE is that novel.

Fairy tales are just the beginning.

The Masked Man is on the loose in the Land of Stories, and it's up to Alex and Conner Bailey to stop him...except Alex has been thrown off the Fairy Council, and no one will believe they're in danger.

With only the help of the ragtag group of Goldilocks, Jack, Red Riding Hood, and Mother Goose and her gander, Lester, the Bailey twins discover the Masked Man's secret scheme: He possesses a powerful magic potion that turns every book it touches into a portal, and he is recruiting an army of literature's greatest villains!

So begins a race through the magical Land of Oz, the fantastical world of Neverland, the madness of Wonderland, and beyond. Can Alex and Conner catch up to the Masked Man, or will they be one step behind until it's too late?

Fairy tales and classic stories collide in the fourth adventure in the bestselling Land of Stories series as the twins travel beyond the kingdoms

“When you meet the person you’re meant to be with, everything changes – you don’t feel like you’re fighting the world alone anymore.”

Another great addition to the LAND OF STORIES . Since I started reading the series last year there hasn’t been a single book that I didn’t enjoy. BEYOND THE KINGDOMS wasn’t any different and I loved fact that they mixed different fairy tales in this books which featured some of my favorites. How can you not love a story that features Wizard Of Oz, Alice in Wonderland and Peter Pan. As a reader I couldn’t help but wonder what was going to happen next with everyone, what adventures with the Bailey twins. I loved every page of the book and each page had me turning for more. CHRIS COLFER will transform you into the fairy world and the world of the books right from the start. LAND OF STORIES is unlike any fairytales that I read before and every book has me craving for their next adventure.

I
felt like every single one of the characters became my friends, especially Alex, Conner and all of their friends. Through reading THE LAND OF STORIES since last year I felt like I got to know each one of them. Besides the descriptions in the books are so amazing that I can actually imagine myself going on adventures with them. Not to mention fact that I could actually picture myself being on adventures with my favorite fairytale characters. It was like having every single fairytale that I read as a kid, brought back to life. That’s how I felt while I was reading BEYOND THE KINDOMS and that cliffhanger in the ending had me wishing that the next book in series was out already, because I feel like I need to see what happens next.

Besides the story itself, I loved the Illustrations in the story which were done by BRANDON DORMAN, he did an amazing job as always. Those were always one of the things that brought the story to life. Do you love fairytales? Do you want read about your favorite characters in fairytales? Then pick LAND OF STORIES and be ready to experience a magical ride.

"When I met Oliver Perry, I had no clue he was the lead singer for The Heartbreakers. And he had no idea that I was the only girl in the world who hated his music."

Stella will do anything for her sick sister, Cara—even stand in line for an autographed Heartbreakers CD...for four hours. She's totally winning best birthday gift this year. At least she met a cute boy with soft brown hair and gorgeous blue eyes while getting her caffeine fix. Too bad she'll never see him again.
Except, Stella's life has suddenly turned into a cheesy love song. Because Starbucks Boy is Oliver Perry – lead singer for the Heartbreakers. And even after she calls his music crap, Oliver still gives Stella his phone number. And whispers quotes from her favorite Disney movie in her ear. OMG, what is her life?

But how can Stella even think about being with Oliver — dating and laughing and pulling pranks with the band — when her sister could be dying of cancer?

I came across THE HEARTBREAKERS on Wattpad before it was published. I have read the first couple chapters and loved it but then I got occupied with work. Once I realized that it was published I decided to buy it for my Nook. I finally got around to reading it and I am glad that I did. I could not get enough of it. I read it while I was on vacation, in Yellowstone and I would had read it more if I wasn’t busy exploring Yellowstone with my family. However I tended to read it every night before bed, because I was curious what would happen with Stella next and not just Stella but her family and the rest of The Heartbreakers. First of all I loved the name of the band The Heartbreakers and considering what happened between Stella & Oliver it made sense to me. Title was one of things that I was wondering about when I picked it up. ALI NOVAK will draw you into the story and the characters life’s right from the start.

OLIVER & STELLA: At first I wasn’t sure what to think about their relationship. I felt like it moved too fast. From moment that they met at the coffee shop, I could see that there was attraction between two of them from start. I loved the relationship between two of them but I felt like they start each other bit too fast. But as the book continued I saw how Stella started to feel bit hesitant especially once she started working as their photographer and pulled away from Oliver. Though Oliver wasn’t doing any better himself. They were going back and forth a lot and I found myself rooting for them to get together, it was clear that they wanted to be more than friends. When Stella broke up with Oliver, my heart broke for her because it was clear that she liked him, maybe even love him but at same time I couldn’t blame her for her decision. All I wanted for them to both them be happy, because the two of them felt like friends to me as I read the book.

I always loved books that were family based and it’s what I loved about this one. I loved how close the siblings were and the whole family. It’s not often where you come across the story where everyone that close. Of course Cara being sick probably something to do with it. I felt like instead of tearing them apart, it brought them closer together. All through the book I found myself praying for Cara to make it, to finally get better. Stella’s family wasn’t only one I loved, the members of heartbreakers who were unique in their own way. All of them acted like a family, most of the time. Even though they had their moments. I am eager to see what’s in store for Heartbreakers next.

I can tell that ALI NOVAK THE HEARTBREAKERS Is worth picking up and checking out.

Cody and Meg were inseparable.

Two peas in a pod.

Until . . . they weren’t anymore.

When her best friend Meg drinks a bottle of industrial-strength cleaner alone in a motel room, Cody is understandably shocked and devastated. She and Meg shared everything—so how was there no warning? But when Cody travels to Meg’s college town to pack up the belongings left behind, she discovers that there’s a lot that Meg never told her. About her old roommates, the sort of people Cody never would have met in her dead-end small town in Washington. About Ben McAllister, the boy with a guitar and a sneer, who broke Meg’s heart. And about an encrypted computer file that Cody can’t open—until she does, and suddenly everything Cody thought she knew about her best friend’s death gets thrown into question.

“Megan Luisa Garcia
I WAS HERE”

This is a type of book, an ending that will have you craving for more afterwards. Astonishing, filled with so much passion, emotions. GAYLE FORMAN made me fall in love with her story and characters once again. I heard about author at beginning of year, from a friend at work who lent me IF I STAY and from moment I read that book, I was hooked and I knew it would end up being author I was going to love. I was right. So far there hasn’t been a single book of hers that I read, that I didn’t enjoy. I WAS HERE wasn’t any different, thought to me it felt like it was more emotional that her other books were. You can’t help but feel all of the emotions, all the confusion that Cody feels in this book. I WAS HERE is a book that will have you reaching for box of tissues at some point. Heartbreaking Story.

Suicide is a hard subject to write about, but GAYLE FORMAN did a great job with it. I had friends in the past that had tried to commit suicide so I know the feelings, and I can only imagine how Cody felt when Meg killed herself. I think that Cody handled herself pretty well considering what happened. I don’t think I would handle it way that she had, if I was in her situation. I do believe that reason she handled it better was because she had Ben and she was convinced that Meg was pushed in killing herself. I thought that it added another interesting twist and a mystery, in both Meg and Ben trying to figure what happened. I feel that the reason behind it because Cody blamed herself for what happened, that she didn’t see the warning signs. You couldn’t help but love Cody, despite what happened, she kept on going and didn’t stop till she got answers.

I wasn’t sure what to think about Ben at beginning, I was between like and hate. I thought that he was a bit rude at start but then I couldn’t blame him. I knew that Meg’s death and the mystery behind is what brought them together, but as time passed I could tell that he cared about her, more than a friend. However I wasn’t even sure if Cody noticed it. She seemed to be pushing him away anytime that they got close or at least that’s the feeling that I got. All through the book, I was rooting for Cody to see that Ben wasn’t the guy that she assumed he was when she first met him. I thought that their relationship was realistic because Forman took time to develop it in book which made their relationship real. That’s what I love about her novels, they feel real to me, I can see something like that happening in real life. GAYLE FORMAN has a way to have you engrossed in her book from start to the end. I can’t wait to read rest of her books, to see what adventures she will take me on next.

If you loved IF I STAY , be sure to check this book out. A heartbreaking story about friendship, love and secrets. A novel that will stay with you even after you come to the end.

For twenty years, the Palomas and the Corbeaus have been rivals and enemies, locked in an escalating feud for over a generation. Both families make their living as traveling performers in competing shows—the Palomas swimming in mermaid exhibitions, the Corbeaus, former tightrope walkers, performing in the tallest trees they can find.

Lace Paloma may be new to her family’s show, but she knows as well as anyone that the Corbeaus are pure magia negra, black magic from the devil himself. Simply touching one could mean death, and she's been taught from birth to keep away. But when disaster strikes the small town where both families are performing, it’s a Corbeau boy, Cluck, who saves Lace’s life. And his touch immerses her in the world of the Corbeaus, where falling for him could turn his own family against him, and one misstep can be just as dangerous on the ground as it is in the trees.

“The sense of falling did not touch her, not as long as her body was between the hands of this boy who felt steadier in the air than on the ground.”

A striking love story, which will capture your heart from start. Just the Quote above will have you picking up the book. I always loved retellings of Romeo & Juliet because that is one of my most favorites types of stories, THE WEIGHT OF FEATHERS was one of the best in my opinion, with its own unique twist. THE WEIGHT OF FEATHERS was unlike any other ones novels that I came across, I It has an unusual setting that’s unlike any books you read. Not just that but way that the book was written, the voice, it was lyrical. I was engrossed with the story, the characters from start to the end, and even afterwards I couldn’t seem to get the story out of my mind. Those weren’t only what I loved about the book, the descriptions within the novel were so vivid that I could picture it so well in mind, feeling as I was transported into the story. How can you not love a book like that? Everything about it, was magical.

LACE & CLUCK : Their story wasn’t your typical love story, it was different, especially considering that their families were feuding. What I loved about this particular story was fact that it wasn’t love at first sight , and at first it seemed that Lace didn’t even want anything to do with him, or at least she pretended that she didn’t. However as the book progressed I saw that she started to care about him, more than she wanted to admit. Even I could see the connection between the two of them, the chemistry. I knew for fact that Cluck cared about more, sometimes it felt like he cared about her more than she did, just a feeling that I got. He did so much for her. Otherwise why would he take her in when she was kicked out, and defend her. Though he wasn’t aware what she was at first, but in the end that didn’t stop him. I was rooting and waiting for their happily after, they deserved it.

Cover is what caught my attention first, and the title. Both of them are unique in their own way. THE WEIGHT OF FEATHERS How can that title not have you curious what is going on, what the story is about? Even if the title won’t capture your attention, the colorful cover will. There wasn’t anything about it that I didn’t love. It’s astonishing. A book that is worth giving chance to.

Natasha has finally learned the truth about herself, but she’s also discovered that having so much power comes with a price.

After a close encounter with dark forces, Nat decides to trust the one person Chace warned her against, traveling to a dangerous place where no Ledarian is welcomed.

Love is tested and more secrets are uncovered as Nat seeks a way to relinquish her vulnerable state and face her most powerful threat ever.

*Thanks to Shane, for providing me e copy for review*

I have been waiting for UNFEARING from the minute that I finished UNRESISTING last year, especially way that it had ended. An ending that you can’t help but crave for more. I couldn’t help but wonder, what happens with Natasha next? Will her sight be restored? I can’t even imagine going for being able to see to going to blind. If I were in her situation, I don’t think that I would be able to handle it. Natasha had to face so many challenges, from the moment that Sean and her were in that accident and she overcame so much more since. You can’t help but love a person like that. I feel like that if it was anybody else, they would give up and just accept their condition, but she didn’t take no for answer and was determined to get her vision back. I found myself rooting for Natasha the whole way, hoping that she would be able to get her sight back. I wanted for her to succeed.

Jesse &Chace : I tried to dislike Jesse, and it first book it was easier to. In this novel, I couldn’t find it in my heart to dislike him. It was obvious how much her cared about her, despite her being in love with Chace. He went through so much, just to help her. There were times where I found myself wondering how she felt about him, if there is possibility of her feeling about Jesse way that he felt about her. I did feel like there was some chemistry between two of them, so she had feel something for him, haven’t she. Then they kissed and then I knew that feelings that she was trying deny, were there. I just wish it didn’t happen while she was with Chace. As for Chace, it was obvious how much he loved her, otherwise why would he protect her that much? I just wish he trusted her bit more and not get jealous, though now I know why he was. I love the two of them together and hope that two of them can work it out somehow.

Of course I loved that there were few point of views in this book. I loved reading one from Chace’s point of view. I did feel like sometimes he would get too impatient with others, even though all they were doing was trying helping him. UNFEARING was beautifully written and has you falling with characters in instant and you can’t help but wonder what’s in store for them next. The story, characters are not only things I loved about this book, did you see the cover? I feel in love with it, the moment that I came across it. It’s colorful and beautiful and mysterious in way that will have the reader curious to pick up. I loved every second, every page. Now I am eager how it all ends, especially the way this one ended, I need to know how it ends.

Another astonishing book by SHANE MORGAN , an author that will hook you from start to finish. I can’t wait to see what adventures she will come up with next.

~EXCERPT~
My heart felt as if it would burst from my chest as I watched hopelessly while Ethryen ascended into midair, his fingers tightly wrapped around Chace’s neck. "Chace!" I cried, running towards them.
Jesse grabbed my arm and tugged me back. "Don’t!" he warned as Ethryen floated over the dark pit with Chace. "He’ll drop him."
"Do something!" I screamed at him, and then looked across at Ophelia and the man with long gray hair.
They took slow steps forward but halted when Ethryen yelled, "Back! Or I’ll release him to the depths of this pit!"
"Why can’t you just give up?" Chace choked out. "It’s over!"
Ethryen growled. "It’s never over!" He drenched himself in a massive amount of red flames. It seeped from his body and trailed along the rocks to the ground of the cave, blazing all around us. "Give me the amulet or watch them die!"
Chace struggled to free himself, clawing at Ethryen’s fiery hand at his neck.
I moved forward again. Jesse wrenched me back. "We have to help him!" I shouted through clenched teeth.
Ethryen glared down at me, cackling viciously. He commanded his flames to blaze higher. It flared in front of me and Jesse, forcing us back against the rocks. Jesse moved me behind him, protecting me from the flames. I tightly grasped his arm, desperate, wanting so badly to stop Ethryen once and for all.
The monster spun back to Chace. "The amulet!" he barked. "Release the power to me! Now!"
Chace gazed down at me with widened eyes, remorse veiling his face. Then with his left hand he started to rifle in his pocket.
"Don’t do it!" Ophelia urged. She tried to diminish Ethryen’s flames with her own, but it was useless. The fire only blazed more, keeping us back.
Fearing for our lives, Chace snatched the amulet out of his pocket and held it up before Ethryen.
"No!" Dorin, the older man, and Ophelia shouted all at once.
"Speak the words!" Ethryen ordered. "Now!"
"Stop your flames first!" Chace bargained, tight-lipped and fuming.
Ethryen growled, "Do you really think you can bargain with me, boy?" He waved his free hand and the red flames edged closer to us. Our backs pressed against the rocks. Should his fire touch our bodies it would have the same impact on the others as it did on me earlier. And I wasn’t sure I’d survive another hit like that.
"I’ll do it!" Chace hollered fearfully, his hand shaking with the amulet. He looked down at me, and I knew what he was about to do. Chace would give Ethryen what he wanted just so he could protect me.
I couldn’t allow it.
There must be a way to stop this.

Who is the real Margo?

Quentin Jacobsen has spent a lifetime loving the magnificently adventurous Margo Roth Spiegelman from afar. So when she cracks open a window and climbs into his life—dressed like a ninja and summoning him for an ingenious campaign of revenge—he follows. After their all-nighter ends, and a new day breaks, Q arrives at school to discover that Margo, always an enigma, has now become a mystery. But Q soon learns that there are clues—and they're for him. Urged down a disconnected path, the closer he gets, the less Q sees the girl he thought he knew.

PAPER TOWNS was a second novel that I read by JOHN GREEN while I was still in college, and since it has been a while, I decided to re-read it. It reminded me how much I loved this book, despite reading it previously I couldn’t get enough of PAPER TOWNS . I was hooked. It’s not a book about romance, at least not all of it is. PAPER TOWNS was mostly based on adventure, the true value of friendship and of course Quentin finding what happened to the girl he loves. Of course I loved fact that it had a bit of mystery added to the story as well, but then what wasn’t mystery when it came to a girl like Margo? To me it felt like she surrounded almost everyone she knew, in mystery. Considering that it wasn’t first time that she ran away, and not the first time that she left clues, surrounding her disappearance. Expect it seemed that this time she only left clues, for Quentin to figure out or at least that it seemed like. Just like Quentin, I wondered who the real Margo was? What was her reason behind it? I was engaged in the mystery like he and his friends were.

I could tell that there was some connection, between Margo and Quentin from moment that Margo enlisted his help that night. I figured there was a reason that she asked him. At times I did find myself wondering if she actually cared for him, or she was just using him. While they were in middle of their tasks, I could feel a connection between two of them and of course at the end of the book. The way that they were talking to one another and of course way that they said goodbye. That was one of the most emotional moments in the book, at least for me it was. It wasn’t an ending that I wanted for them, especially since I was rooting from them right from start. But then there isn’t always a happily after. I feel like Quentin cared about Margo more than she did for him, everything he went through to find her, all the miles he drove with his friends. While, she didn’t even seem that happy to see him at first. It felt like his feelings for here were more real, than hers. Once I reached the end, I did wonder what happened with them next. I couldn’t help but wonder what would happen with them next in their lives. If their paths would cross again.

I loved the adventure portion of the novel, which was one of my favorite’s parts of the books. First the nighttime adventure that Margo planned, you couldn’t help but wonder what she would up to next, that night. You can’t help but wonder if there was reason behind that sudden decision. As I reached the end, it made sense why she did it at that moment; she most likely knew by then that she was leaving. Then the adventure that Quentin and his friends took, in search of Margo. I love reading about road trips like that, with some sort of reason behind. Also way that it was written and described, it put images in my mind that I found myself thinking about, after finishing the book. I knew there were reason that JOHN GREEN is one of my favorite authors, because he write astonishing story with unforgettable characters. Once I finish his book, I am ready to pick another one, ready for his next adventure.

Darcy Patel has put college and everything else on hold to publish her teen novel, Afterworlds. Arriving in New York with no apartment or friends she wonders whether she's made the right decision until she falls in with a crowd of other seasoned and fledgling writers who take her under their wings…

Told in alternating chapters is Darcy's novel, a suspenseful thriller about Lizzie, a teen who slips into the 'Afterworld' to survive a terrorist attack. But the Afterworld is a place between the living and the dead and as Lizzie drifts between our world and that of the Afterworld, she discovers that many unsolved - and terrifying - stories need to be reconciled. And when a new threat resurfaces, Lizzie learns her special gifts may not be enough to protect those she loves and cares about most.

I have been a fan of SCOTT WESTERFELD from moment that I have read his UGLIES Series back when I was still in college. I was in love with that series and have read it multiple times. When I came across AFTERWORLDS I knew that I had check it out, and somehow I had a feeling that it was going end up being a book that I would love. I was right, I was taken back by the story, it was unlike any book that I read before. That’s what I love about Westerfeld’s writing, it’s different and every book that I read I feel like I am entering a new world. In this case I felt like I was entering two different worlds. AFTERWORLDS drew me in from start of the book, you couldn’t help but wonder what’s going to happen to Lizzie after, how can you not? I already felt like I was connected with the character from the beginning. What was unique about this book was the plot; it’s about a girl writing her first book and then Lizzie, where you get experience the actual story. As aspiring writer, that’s what I loved about it, and to me both Darcy and Lizzie was real.

Plot and characters isn’t only what I loved about the novel. I loved the cover for the book; it fits the story so well. I feel that even if you didn’t read what book is about or haven’t heard of author before, the cover would capture your attention. How can it not? You can’t help but grow curious about the photographs on the cover and that will have you checking the book out. In way it explains both of stories in that picture. I did not want to put that book down; I only did it when I had to due to work. The way that everything was described, I could picture everything as I read the book, and I feel that those are the best type of books where you can see what is going on while you are reading it. The characters, dialogue and the story in general was amazing, you can’t help but like it. A novel that I still find myself thinking about it, even though I read it a while back. Darcy & Lizzie’s stories are the ones that will stay with you long after.

LIZZIE & DARCY : Honestly it’s hard for me who I liked more. Though I got admit that Darcy’s story was a bit more interesting and appealing to me than Lizzie’s. I loved reading about process of writing a novel, considering that’s what I want do that one day. Plus New York, how can you not love New York? Most of all I adored the relationship between her and Imogen. Though her and Darcy had their issues, I could tell that they loved each other, just the way they were with one another, and how they were helping each other. I was always smiling at scenes between the two of them. I loved the connection between two of them. Of course now I am curious what’s going happen next, if they are going make it. As for Lizzie I love the action aspect of it, and of course the paranormal aspect of it but Lizzie just didn’t grow on me the way that Darcy seemed to. But I am still curious what’s going happen next, considering how the novel ended.

Beautiful, astonishing novel. A novel that is worth every star, every page. If you love fantasy with real world mixed into it, Afterworlds is a book that you should pick up. Be ready for a thrilling ride.
