5 STARS

Friday Night Bites, a second book in Chicagoland Vampires. I got to say, I found myself being fascinated with this novel more than Some Girls Bite. To me it seemed that it was filled with more mystery through the novel, more action. You can see development in characters as well, especially with Merit. Top of that, there is much more action and tension between some of characters, especially Merit & Ethan. After reading Friday Night Bites, Chicagoland Vampires has become one of my favorite series. It’s very well written and there is always something going on. Also the book keep you wondering, keep you in turning the book, to see what happens. If I could give this book more than 5 stars, I would. I will totally be checking out rest of series. I need to know what happens next with Merit, Ethan, Meredith and Catcher. It series worth checking out.

GOODREADS SUMMARY
Ten months after vampires revealed their existence to the mortals of Chicago, they're enjoying a celebrity status usually reserved for the Hollywood elite. But should people learn about the Raves mass feeding parties where vampires round up humans like cattle the citizens will start sharpening their stakes.

So now it's up to the new vampire Merit to reconnect with her upper class family and act as liaison between humans and bloodsuckers, and keep the more unsavory aspects of the vampire lifestyle out of the media. But someone doesn't want peace between them someone with an ancient grudge.

Despite how Ethan and Merit seem to get on each other nerves (most of time) I love Ethan and Merit even more and I’m kind of hoping that they would stop being so stubborn, about their attraction. In Friday Night Bites, I could tell how much attraction; desire was between the two of them Honestly, I always looked towards those scenes. Though I felt bad for Morgan, I didn’t feel like she was being fair to him, I felt like her and Ethan have more of bond. To me it felt that something was missing between Merit and Morgan, there was anything there, at least not for Merit. I could tell that Morgan cared for her, more then she cared for him. Of course I wished that they would leave on better terms. I am hoping that both Ethan and Merit will come to terms in next book, I feel like they should be together even if they opposite from one another. I’m eager to see what happens between two of them next.

Friday Night Bites had a more mysterious twist added to it. There was not a single page in the book that didn’t grab my attention. Actually the more I read the more eager I wanted to find out what’s going to happen next. I was curious all through the book that the traitor was and in way I found myself feeling sorry for Ethan, someone already betrayed him once, I can only imagine how it felt to be betrayed once again. It’s making me wonder who is going to betray him next, but I am kind of hoping that nobody would. But being one of his guards, that is the twist that I didn’t see coming at all. That what I love about this series, there twists that you don’t see coming. Also parts that leave you wondering. Character development, I saw quite of that in here. Honestly, Merit annoyed me quite bit in first book; she was constantly complaining in that book, I found myself wanting to yell at her. But in this book, I saw how much she progress, the long way that she came. I found myself liking her much more in this book. To me, she seemed to became much stronger person, much more confident about herself, even if there was still some things she wasn’ t that confident about. Now, all she needs confidence about is Ethan. I love the bond she created with Lindsey, it’s not like I don’t like Meredith, I just think she needed another person she can trust, share her secrets with and it’s good, considering they live in same house and work together.

If you love romance, vampires with some action and mystery, be sure to check out the series. It’s worth your time.
