If there’s one thing Ivy has learned through the years, it’s that love is never simple.

Ivy Penny’s new bridal shop is in desperate need of a serious makeover—much like her dating life. With a love life that has shown more red flags than red roses in the past, Ivy has completely given up on relationships.

So nothing drives her more insane than when she meets Donovan Anderson—a grumpy but beautiful man that has the skills to fix up Vera Bridal but not to communicate.

Ivy finds herself trapped in his intense allure with no end in sight, and seeing him at the bridal shop every day isn’t helping.

Naturally here comes Lee Taylor, a charming and handsome coffee shop owner with a golden disposition that can bring a smile to Ivy’s face without even trying, which confuses her even more.

Between renovations, her feelings, and trying to get ready for her best friend’s wedding, everything is quickly growing to be too complicated.

Now with her life in chaos, she has to figure out if love is actually in the cards for her.

Nicole Mikell did it again! I was intrigued by Ivy from the moment that she made an appearance in the first book, Baby, It’s You . I wanted to hear her story, so I was very excited to get an opportunity to read You Can’t Hurry Love. This book captivated me from the first page to the last. Even as I reached the last page, I wanted more. There is something about love triangles, I had always enjoyed reading about them, I think it’s mostly the curiosity of which one the main character will choose. I enjoyed the way that Nicole crafted the story and the relationships between Ivy, Donovan and Lee.

I loved the first book, but I loved You Can’t Hurry Love even more. There is something about Ivy that you couldn’t help but love. Of course, I couldn’t help but wonder who she would choose. This is one of those books where it is impossible to choose because you like both guys. I loved both Lee and Donovan. Nicole did a fantastic job portraying each of the characters’ emotions, especially Ivy. I could feel every single emotion that Ivy did.

I loved that each chapter title was a playlist, which I listened to while I was reading the chapter. I loved the character development in this book, especially for Ivy and Donovan. There were a few secondary characters in this book, such as Ezra and Summer, that I loved. I would love a book about Summer or Ezra. I loved the humor in this book; there were a few scenes that had me laughing out loud. In general, I loved this book, and I continue to think about it. I can’t wait to see what’s next—highly recommended.
