Hideaway Harbor is layered in love for the holidays, enticing visitors to the coastal area for a seasonal respite, so thanks to an unpredicted blizzard, it’s no surprise when a stranger plows into the town’s welcome sign.
What is a surprise is when he’s suddenly—and rather reluctantly by me—an extended-stay guest in my home thanks to no vacancies in town, some pesky matchmaking, and candy cane martinis on a Monday.
There’s something vaguely familiar about this new visitor. The combination of snow and tinsel colored hair. The well-trimmed matching beard. The laugh lines near his coal-colored eyes. How good he looks in the color red. He’s thoughtful and kind, and has a flair for the holiday season, which makes him most likely to make the top of Santa’s good guy (with a hint of bad boy) list.
After some disappointing news concerning the holidays, the hap, hap, happiest time of the year isn’t feeling so spectacular. But my houseguest’s presence builds a snowstorm of emotions in my chest, making my Christmas wish a transfer to the naughty list . . . with him.
Unfortunately, there’s a mystery behind his origins, and he has “not-staying” written all over him. With places to be before the calendar flips to December twenty-fourth, he’ll soon be gone, and I’ve encountered this heartbreaking, lump-of-coal sensation once before.
No matter how short or sweet his visit, there’s no doubt about the magic we make together, leaving me to wonder if love is the greatest adventure we take.

Heartwarming.
The perfect book to get you into the holiday season. The Holiday Post captivated me from the first page, and I found myself constantly on the edge of my seat. Every chapter had me wondering what would happen with Saint and Lumi next. You can see right from the start the attraction between the two of them. Considering that Saint wasn’t from Hideaway Harbor, I was curious if that would change as the story progressed. I liked how mysterious Saint was, especially when it came to his job, and I was suspicious about it. I loved the mystery behind it, which made the story even more interesting to read. I was curious to see what would happen.
I could see The Holiday Post as a Hallmark Holiday movie while I was reading it. The chemistry between Saint and Lumi was so heartfelt, I found myself smiling at almost every scene between the two of them. I liked the way that the two of them connected and the way that their relationship developed through the book. I couldn’t put this book down, but there was another part of me that didn’t want to reach the end because I didn’t want to say goodbye to these fantastic characters. I feel like Saint and Lumi should get another book, or at least a novella. I still cannot get this story out of my mind.
I love Christmas stories and have read multiple different ones through the years. The Holiday Post is one of the most unique ones that I have come across. What I love about the Hideaway Harbor books is that they consistently make you smile and laugh, even when they tackle challenging situations. I’m so glad that I got a chance to read this one, and I'm excited to come back to Hideaway Harbor for the next one!
