Harry, Ron, and Hermione, having passed their O.W.L. level exams, start on their specialist N.E.W.T. courses. Sixth-year students learn to Apparate, losing a few eyebrows in the process. Teenagers flirt and fight and fall in love. Harry becomes captain of the Gryffindor Quidditch team, while Draco Malfoy pursues his own dark ends. And classes are as fascinating and confounding as ever, as Harry receives some extraordinary help in Potions from the mysterious Half-Blood Prince.

Most importantly, Dumbledore and Harry work together to uncover the full and complex story of a boy once named Tom Riddle—the boy who became Lord Voldemort. Like Harry, he was the son of one Muggle-born and one Wizarding parent, raised unloved, and a speaker of Parseltongue. But the similarities end there, as the teenaged Riddle became deeply interested in the Dark objects known as Horcruxes: objects in which a wizard can hide part of his soul, if he dares splinter that soul through murder.

Harry must use all the tools at his disposal to draw a final secret out of one of Riddle’s teachers, the sly Potions professor Horace Slughorn. Finally Harry and Dumbledore hold the key to the Dark Lord’s weaknesses... until a shocking reversal exposes Dumbledore’s own vulnerabilities, and casts Harry’s—and Hogwarts’s—future in shadow.

I can’t get over that ending, the last few chapters. At this moment, I have a lot emotions going through me, despite being a re-read. That last few chapters get to me every time. I think that HARRY POTTER AND THE HALF BLOOD PRINCE Is one of the most emotional deaths, for me. I was sad when Sirus died too, but with Dumbledore, I feel as I formed an attachment to character through the series. He was always there, and I loved him from start. Now he’s not. Dumbledore cannot be gone, can he? It’s question I found myself asking every time that I re-read HARRY POTTER AND THE HALF BLOOD PRINCE . I can’t even seem to imagine it, not without Dumbledore in the series. I already miss him. He’s one of the characters from the book that will stay with me, for years to come. If I did not dislike Snape before, after what happened, after what he done, my dislike turned to hate. He betrayed Dumbledore. He trusted him. Dumbledore’s funeral had me going, good thing I was in my room when I read that part. I can’t picture Hogwarts, not without Dumbledore in it, even if it reopens, I know that it won’t be the same.

As for Draco, I always disliked him. Now, I am more like Harry I dislike him, at same time feeling pity towards him. I know that he was most likely got forced into this, due to fact that Draco’s father got caught and was in Azkaban. That’s why Draco was having such hard time about it, I don’t believe that he wanted to kill Dumbledore, but Voldermort gave him no choice. Voldemort is not who you say no to. He threatened to kill him, his family. I know it sounds like I feel sorry for Draco, and I do a bit. I can’t imagine how afraid he must been. Then seeing Snape kill Dumbledore. I’m curious what’s going to happen with him now, considering that he couldn’t complete his task. Even if Snape managed to kill him, I can’t imagine that Voldermort is happy with Draco, since he couldn’t seem to finish the only task that he was assighed to do. The emotions were so well displayed in the book, I could feel Draco’s fear, hesitation when he attempted to kill Dumbledore. Now, if Snape did not appear, Dumbledore might still be alive, I don’t think Draco would killed him.

Half Blood Prince, I had this feeling that there was something off about him from moment that Harry came across his copy of book in Potions. But never did I even picture Snape as the Half Blood Prince. No wonder that he figured out that something was up when he used the spell on Draco, and fact that he was getting best marks in Potions. If I were him, I would get suspicious too. I was in shock though, like Harry was I am sure. Fact that he been using Snape’s ideas all this time.

I loved the private lesson’s that Harry had with Dumbledore, I felt like we got a better glimpse at Tom Riddle’s life and how he became Voldermort. I believe that the bond between Dumbledore and Harry grew stronger then. It’s too bad that it got cut so tragically. There is still a part of me that cannot get over Dumbledore’s death.

HARRY POTTER AND THE HALF BLOOD PRINCE, is my favorite out of whole series, at least so far. A part of me did not want finish this book because I knew there was only one more book left after this one. Another magical edition to the Harry Potter series.

It's official: the evil Lord Voldemort has returned. His influence is suddenly everywhere in the Wizarding world, and his former allies, the Death Eaters, are returning to his side in droves. In response, the Order of the Phoenix, which worked to stop him during his last rise to power, has reconvened. This time, all of the adults Harry trusts have joined in. And even though Harry is at the center of many of their plans—Voldemort is intent on killing him, after all—they want so badly to protect him that they are keeping him completely out of the loop.

Problems are cropping up at Hogwarts, too, where government officials are meddling in just about everything. And just because Voldemort and the Death Eaters are threatening open warfare does not mean that fifth-year students get out of their exams. Meanwhile, Harry's powerful connection to Voldemort seems to be growing even stronger, as he realizes that he has direct access to the Dark Lord's mind. It's time for Harry and his friends to take drastic action, but the course they choose will have terrible unforeseen consequences.

Brilliant. Magical. Breathtaking.

I know, I have read those before, multiple times. That doesn’t matter, it didn’t stop me from loving it any less, actually I fell in love with it more. I loved HARRY POTTER AND THE ORDER OF PHOENIX few times that I read it before, but after finishing it this time, I think that it became one of my favorite books in the series. I loved all others, but from the books in series that I have read so far, HARRY POTTER AND THE ORDER OF PHOENIX had a lot more happening, and Harry had so much more going on, and that he had to deal with. Now that Voldemort was back, he had to be much more careful. Though it seemed only selected amount of people seemed believe that he was back. Why would they make something like that up? Every page, every chapter in the book had you on the edge of your seat. HARRY POTTER AND THE ORDER OF PHOENIX was a pretty long book, thought I wanted to be longer. There were so much going on, especially towards the end of book. I could not pull my eyes away, I did not want to put it down. I know that if it wasn’t for work, I would finished it faster than I had.

I didn’t think that I was impossible for me to dislike anyone, more than Snape and Draco. That proved to be wrong when Dolores Umbridge became a professor at Hogwarts. I had a feeling that she was trouble, from moment that she appeared. Even Snape seemed to dislike her, and it wasn’t like I blamed him. She tried to change Hogwarts too much, and not in an effective way. When she tried to get rid of Dumbledore, my dislike for her turned to hate. I always loved him. When she took over for him when he vanished, I hoped he come back soon or Hogwarts would be in a lot of trouble. I was hoping that Harry and his friends would find a way to get rid of her, before she would turn the whole school upside down. I feel that she took a certain dislike to Harry and Dumbledore. She was one of first people to not believe Harry that Voldemort was back. She got what was coming for her. However, you can’t help but wonder what will happen to her next.
That ending. No matter how many times I read the book, I end up crying every time at that scene. Of course they had to kill off Sirus, just when Harry found another family that actually cared for him. He gets murdered. I was in shock, at first I was like Harry and though that he would come back, more like hope. Sirus was one of my favorite characters, and just when him and Harry got to know each other, got close. He gets killed. I felt the shock, the anger and the grief that Harry felt. How many more deaths does Harry have to go through, before he reaches his breaking point? This book was breathtaking, it reminds me how magical Harry Potter series is. Another great addition. I am eager to pick up the next book in series. I can’t seem to pull myself away from this series.

Beautifully written.

Harry Potter is midway through his training as a wizard and his coming of age. Harry wants to get away from the pernicious Dursleys and go to the International Quidditch Cup. He wants to find out about the mysterious event that's supposed to take place at Hogwarts this year, an event involving two other rival schools of magic, and a competition that hasn't happened for a hundred years.

He wants to be a normal, fourteen-year-old wizard. But unfortunately for Harry Potter, he's not normal - even by wizarding standards. And in his case, different can be deadly.

Is it me, or does Harry Potter keeps getting more interesting, the more I re -read it? I read it few times before, however it feels as I read it for first time. HARRY POTTER AND THE GOBLET OF FIRE is when it start to get more fascinating, in my opinion. I loved the first 3 novels, but I think that HARRY POTTER AND THE GOBLET OF FIRE where the action picks up. I think it’s because there are a lot more happening in the 4th books. If you read HARRY POTTER AND THE GOBLET OF FIRE before, it won’t stop you from getting hooked again. I was. I couldn’t get enough of it, I had to force myself to put it down and half of the time, I didn’t want to. Despite having re-read this book multiple times, I was on edge of my seat from start until end. Once I reached the end, I wanted to pick up the next book right away.

There were so many emotions that gone through me, in this book. The tasks, that were the ones that sent my heart racing, how could they not? Those tasks were dangerous, all of them. I can see why an age limit was set on it. Yet someone managed to get Harry’s name in the Goblet. You can’t help but wonder, how? Who? When I first read HARRY POTTER AND THE GOBLET OF FIRE I wondered if it could possibly be Snape, could he hate Harry that much? I was surprised that Ron didn’t believe Harry, not until the first task. The two of them never spent that much time not talking to one another. I felt relieved when the two of them made up, Harry needed Ron. I love the friendship between him, Ron and Hermione. What the three of them had to go through, that’s a friendship that will last a lifetime.

The last task, is one task that Harry will never forget. I feel that he might always blame himself for Cedric’s death, even if it wasn’t his fault. I didn’t know Cedric too well, but from what I read in this book, he seemed like a very nice person. I cried when he died. I feel that he only died because he would only been in way. Voldermort, he didn’t want anyone in way from him to kill Harry Potter. I don’t think he cares who he kills. Only what he cares about is to finish what he started years earlier. I can’t imagine the panic everyone will feel once they realize that Voldermort rose again. I can’t even believe to imagine how many more he will kill in meanwhile. I fell in love with series all over again. Harry Potter is a series you will find yourself returning to, a story that will stay with you for years to come.

It’s Magical.

Harry Potter's third year at Hogwarts is full of new dangers. A convicted murderer, Sirius Black, has broken out of Azkaban prison, and it seems he's after Harry. Now Hogwarts is being patrolled by the dementors, the Azkaban guards who are hunting Sirius. But Harry can't imagine that Sirius or, for that matter, the evil Lord Voldemort could be more frightening than the dementors themselves, who have the terrible power to fill anyone they come across with aching loneliness and despair.

Meanwhile, life continues as usual at Hogwarts. A top-of-the-line broom takes Harry's success at Quidditch, the sport of the Wizarding world, to new heights. A cute fourth-year student catches his eye. And he becomes close with the new Defense of the Dark Arts teacher, who was a childhood friend of his father. Yet despite the relative safety of life at Hogwarts and the best efforts of the dementors, the threat of Sirius Black grows ever closer. But if Harry has learned anything from his education in wizardry, it is that things are often not what they seem.

Brilliant. Magical.

I loved every page, but then how can you not? It’s Harry Potter, which happens to be one of my favorite series. This isn’t first time that I read HARRY POTTER AND THE PRISONER OF AZKABAN and it won’t be the last. I know that I read it before, and it seems that every time I re-read it, I fall more in love with it. You can’t help but get into story every time. That’s what happened to me this time around, I couldn’t seem to get enough even if I knew what was coming. HARRY POTTER AND THE PRISONER OF AZKABAN seemed more intense, and even though I liked the first two books, this one had a lot more going on. There were more tension, more action and not a single page where you didn’t find yourself what’s to come next. Even if you wanted to, you wouldn’t be able to put the book down. I couldn’t.

Sirus Black : That is one character that you can’t help but be curious about, at least in the beginning. How can you not be? I know that I was from beginning, I couldn’t help but wonder why he was after Harry. Why just him? I was sure he was the bad guy, just like Harry assumed and everyone else assumed. But by the end of the book, Sirus had became one of my favorite characters. I was glad that Harry had someone else that he could come to. I hope that the two of them be able to reunite sometime soon, thought I don’t see that happening anytime soon since he is supposed to be in hiding, since he is still considered a dangerous criminal. Knowing Sirus, I know that he will find a way to see Harry if he has to.

There is two characters I am still having trouble liking, Snape and Draco. It’s almost impossible to like them. I feel like Snape let’s Draco get away with anything, yet Harry gets in trouble nonstop. I still can’t help but wonder what Snape has against Harry, if there a reason for his dislike for Harry. It feels like in every book he seems to get more cold towards Harry. At least that is a feeling that I get. Draco, always finds to taunt Harry and not just him, but his friends too. Yet he never gets in trouble for it. I have feeling those two are characters that I will never be fond of.

Another amazing addition to Harry Potter Series. Re -reading it, makes me realize why I fell in love with series to begin with.

it's almost
time for war.

Juliette has escaped to Omega Point. It is a place for people like her—people with gifts—and it is also the headquarters of the rebel resistance.

She's finally free from The Reestablishment, free from their plan to use her as a weapon, and free to love Adam. But Juliette will never be free from her lethal touch.

Or from Warner, who wants Juliette more than she ever thought possible.

In this exhilarating sequel to Shatter Me, Juliette has to make life-changing decisions between what she wants and what she thinks is right. Decisions that might involve choosing between her heart—and Adam's life.

I cannot get enough of this… My emotions, they are all over the place right now, and I am not sure if I can explain it at this moment. It’s not first time I read UNRAVEL ME don’t you love the title? Yet, I feel as it was first time I read it, I was completely blown away, more than the first time. Usually the first book in series cannot compare to rest of the series. For this series, it was the opposite for me. I loved SHATTER ME but it was nothing compared to this one, I loved it even more than the first one. I think it’s due to fact that UNRAVEL ME had a lot more going on, and at the end, having me on edge of my seat, leaving me with questions. A part of me wanted to pick up the book and read it again not long after I reached the last page. I want to tell everyone about this book. Re-reading was as if I reunited with a longtime friend after not seeing them for long time.

Adam & Warner: Don’t get me wrong, I love Adam, how can you not? I loved how he is with Juliette, I know he loves her. I disliked Warner in SHATTER ME , how could I not after what he put Juliette through? I even had hard time believing that he cared about her. I know that I shouldn’t like him, and like Juliette my emotions towards Warner were conflicted. However, that did not take long and by end of book, Warner became one of my favorite character along with Juliette. I know that Juliette loves Adam, I can tell that she does. There is connection between her and Warner that she doesn’t have with Adam, even if she doesn’t want to admit that. She cares for him, more that she should. I know that she confused about Adam too, but Warner feels like a different person when he is with her. I agree with him, they should be together. I do wonder if Warner’s thoughts towards Adam changes once he finds out that they are brothers.

Kenji : Firs off, I love the name, it’s unique and it firs him perfectly. He was another character I didn’t like when I first met him. He was rude and though so highly of himself. I didn’t know how anyone could possibly like him. It seemed that everyone was fond of him at Omega Point, especially Castle. As I read the book, my feelings for him changed and he became one of my favorite characters as well. He didn’t take pity on Juliette and I believe because of him, she got as far as she did. I liked that not once did he give up on her, or stayed away from her like others seemed to when she first arrived. I’m eager to see what happens with him next.

I don’t think there is anything I didn’t love about UNRAVEL ME . I fell in love with this story, the characters more. I have feeling that I will be re-reading these books multiple times in future. If you love science fiction, dystopian with romance in mix, you should pick up this series. You will find yourself wishing that you picked up sooner. A story that you will talk long after you finish it, a story that will stay with you.

Be ready for a thrilling ride.

I have a curse
I have a gift

I am a monster
I'm more than human

My touch is lethal
My touch is power

I am their weapon

I will fight back

Juliette hasn’t touched anyone in exactly 264 days.

The last time she did, it was an accident, but The Reestablishment locked her up for murder. No one knows why Juliette’s touch is fatal. As long as she doesn’t hurt anyone else, no one really cares. The world is too busy crumbling to pieces to pay attention to a 17-year-old girl. Diseases are destroying the population, food is hard to find, birds don’t fly anymore, and the clouds are the wrong color.

The Reestablishment said their way was the only way to fix things, so they threw Juliette in a cell. Now so many people are dead that the survivors are whispering war – and The Reestablishment has changed its mind. Maybe Juliette is more than a tortured soul stuffed into a poisonous body. Maybe she’s exactly what they need right now.

Juliette has to make a choice: Be a weapon. Or be a warrior.

Have you ever came across that one series, no matter how many times you read it. Every time you seem to fall in love with story more? SHATTER ME is that series for me. I decided to re – read it and it has been a while since I read it last time. From moment that I started reading it again, I remember why I loved this book so much, why I keep re-reading it. SHATTER ME is breathtaking, magical story that will stay with you long after you come to the last page. Even if I read it before and knew what was coming, I was still on the edge of my seat. I spent hours reading , mostly because I could not force myself to put it down and made me glad that it’s weekend so I had more time to read.

SHATTER ME is unlike any Young Adult Fantasy book I read before, and I had read a lot through the years. TAHEREH MAFI has a style that is unlike any style that I read before, and she has a way to hook a reader to story from first sentence. Every page, every chapter pulled me more into a story and that was one of reasons that it was impossible to put the book down. Just when you think that you reached a stopping point, she will pull you back into story. SHATTER ME didn’t have a single page where there wasn’t something going on, Just when you think that nothing else can surprise you, there is another twist you don’t see coming. Like Warner able to touch Juliette like Adam can.

Juliette, I loved her from the start. I can’t even begin to imagine how it must felt to not be able to touch anyone. I don’t think I would lasted as long as she had, if I were in her situation I would given up a long time ago. Especially being isolated for as long as she had been, that would drive me crazy. I feel like things got a bit easier for Juliette once Adam got there, and fact that he could touch her too. I think for first time in a while, she was happy. I loved the two of them together. The way he watched her, and how was willing to risk his life to protect her. That’s love. I was glad that they were able to escape and get away from there. I do know that Warner won’t give up, not until he finds her.

Beautifully written, a must read. I feel like this book deserves more than 5 stars.

Sixteen-year-old Starr Carter moves between two worlds: the poor neighborhood where she lives and the fancy suburban prep school she attends. The uneasy balance between these worlds is shattered when Starr witnesses the fatal shooting of her childhood best friend Khalil at the hands of a police officer. Khalil was unarmed.

Soon afterward, his death is a national headline. Some are calling him a thug, maybe even a drug dealer and a gangbanger. Protesters are taking to the streets in Khalil's name. Some cops and the local drug lord try to intimidate Starr and her family. What everyone wants to know is: what really went down that night? And the only person alive who can answer that is Starr.

But what Starr does or does not say could upend her community. It could also endanger her life.

How did I not read this book earlier? I know for face, THE HATE U GIVE a story that will stay with me for years to come. It’s still on my mind. This beautiful story deserves more than 5 stars, a classic. I heard people talking about it when it came out, and when I started it THE HATE U GIVE I couldn’t blame them. My favorite book of 2018, so far. Not long after reading the book, I was inspired to work on my own novel. I know that I can’t relate to what happened to Starr, to her friend Kahill and as I read Starr’s story, I felt as I could, as if I was there along with Starr, experiencing her fear, anger, confusion and grief. THE HATE U GIVE is a book that everyone should read, I would highly recommend it. I feel as if THE HATE U GIVE will end up one of those books that will stay on bestsellers list for months to come, a story that nobody would forget.

I can’t even begin to imagine how Starr felt, once she saw Kahill get shot by police officer. It didn’t take him long to assume, and that’s all it took. If it were me, I don’t think I would been able to handle like Starr did. I loved how supportive both of her parents were, and how they were always there and I believe that’s what helped her. Of course i’m sure it’s one event that she would forget, considering it’s a 2nd friend that she saw get shot. How can you forget something this tragic? It’s hard to see one friend get shot at 10 years old, but two and one at hands of police, who are supposed to protect you. I agree with Starr, it shouldn’t happened and the officer shouldn’t gotten away with it. After Starr repeated her story over again, that must been horrible to have relieve that day over again. Like Starr, I wasn’t surprised that he didn’t get arrested. I would been angry too if I were in Starr’s situation, though I don’t think I would have the courage to do what she did once she found out.

I loved Chris. A lot of people including her father were in shock that Starr was dating a white guy. I can’t blame Starr for not telling her father when she started dating, considering how he reacted when he found out. Towards the end, I could tell that he was starting to warm up to him. I loved how Chris was with Starr, despite how her friends, her family treated him at first, that didn’t scare him. He didn’t care what others thought of them, all that mattered to him was her. I figured out that he loved her, before he said it. I hope that the two of them would end up with each other in the end. Those two belonged together, and I think that it didn’t take their friends long to accept that. Chris is who she needed, to help her thorught this, and I think that she should let him in sooner that she did. I am glad that she finally did.

A beautiful, heartaching, magnificent debut novel by ANGIE THOMAS , an author who already one of my favorites. I can’t wait to see what Thomas has in store for us next.
