Raised among them.>

Li has a father and a sister who love her. A best friend, Mirabae, to share things with. She goes to school and hangs out at the beach and carefully follows the rules. She has to. Everyone she knows--her family, her teachers, her friends--is an alien. And she is the only human left on Earth.

A secret that could end her life.

The Abdoloreans hijacked the planet sixteen years ago, destroying all human life. Li's human-sympathizer father took her in as a baby and has trained her to pass as one of them. The Abdoloreans appear human. But they don't think with human minds or feel with human hearts. And they have special abilities no human could ever have.

Fit in or die.

When Li meets Ryn, she's swept up in a relationship that could have disastrous consequences. How far will Li go to stay alive? Will she save herself--and in turn, the human race--or will she be the final witness to humanity's destruction?

Aliens. Human raised among aliens. How can you not be curious about story like that? Cover, and especially the title, THE LAST GIRL ON EARTH I think that just the title itself will make any reader curious about the story. How can it not? You can’t help but wonder why she is the last girl on earth? If he secret would get discovered at one point. It made sense while her father was so strict, and trained her so hard. He didn’t want her to be discovered, he knew what would happen if she was. She would end up killed. He proved to be right, considering what happened towards the end of the book when Braxon found who she was, that she was human. I knew there was something not right about him, besides fact how he hurt Zo. Yet, at the same time I didn’t even think about how violent he could get, to get what he wanted. I am actually glad that Zo got out of that relationship when she did.

I loved the relationship that Zo and Li had, a relationship that went beyond family, they were best of friends. I loved fact that Zo didn’t care that Li was human, she loved her for who she was. They had their fights and their arguments, but in the end they were always there for each other. They wanted to protect one another. The ending when Li was leaving, my heart broke for Zo when she told her to not leave. I cried. There is a part of me that is hoping where Li can come back one day in future, where the two of them can re connect. I adored the bond that the two of them had. Poor Zo. My heart is broken for her. First Braxon betrays her and then her sister leaves. I hope she will find some happiness.

Ryn, You can’t help but love him. I loved fact that she was human didn’t scare him and didn’t change how he felt about her. I did feel like their relationship moved a bit too fast. They meet and before you knew it, they were in love. Despite that, it was cute. I loved how they cared about each other and it made me smile, to see Li happy. I knew he loved her, especially when he told her that he was coming with her when she told him that she was leaving. I did still wonder what would happen after, would the two of them remain together? Would they stay there or would they end up coming back one day? I feel like the ending leaves you handing with more questions, and makes you wonder if there could be more to a story after.

THE LAST GIRL ON EARTH is a fantasy story about family, first love and choices. A beautiful, heartbreaking, astonishing debut novel.

Alice had her whole summer planned. Non-stop all-you-can-eat buffets while marathoning her favorite TV shows (best friends totally included) with the smallest dash of adulting--working at the library to pay her share of the rent. The only thing missing from her perfect plan? Her girlfriend (who ended things when Alice confessed she's asexual). Alice is done with dating--no thank you, do not pass go, stick a fork in her, done.

But then Alice meets Takumi and she can’t stop thinking about him or the rom com-grade romance feels she did not ask for (uncertainty, butterflies, and swoons, oh my!).

When her blissful summer takes an unexpected turn, and Takumi becomes her knight with a shiny library employee badge (close enough), Alice has to decide if she’s willing to risk their friendship for a love that might not be reciprocated—or understood.

How have I not read this book earlier? It was… spectacular. I have read few books that were published by Swoon Reads . One of my friends published her debut book through them. There hasn’t been a single title from there that I didn’t enjoy. LET’S TALK ABOUT LOVE wasn’t any different. I don’t think there was anything that I didn’t like. It was different from what I read before, at least the subject. Asexual is not something I heard about, not prior to reading Alice’s story in LET’S TALK ABOUT LOVE I even ended up looking up because I wasn’t sure what it was, and were curious about it. I felt as I learned something new by reading the book. I could feel Alice emotions, her frustration. Especially since Asexual is something that not everyone understands, like Alice’s ex girlfriend. LET’S TALK ABOUT LOVE was beautifully written, descrptions and emotions were so vivid, that even if I wanted to, I wouldn’t be able to pull myself away from the story. Some days I couldn’t.

I have heard, and seen on Goodreads others talking about the book. Now I see why. I liked Alice from beginning, it was hard not to. I hated how her girlfriend treated her, and to me it felt that all she cared about was sex. I think it was a good thing that she broke up with her, it wouldn’t lasted. And if they didn’t break up, she might never got as close as she did to Takumi. Don’t you just love that name? It’s so unique, I am not even sure if I can say it right or now. I have never heard name like his and I think that’s what made him so unique. From beginning it was obvious how Alice felt about Takumi, based by how she acted around him, she could barely talk to him at first. Of course she tried to deny it at first, but I feel like it was obvious to anyone how she felt about him. I feel that even Takumi even was aware of her feelings for him, just by the way that she acted when the two of them together. It didn’t take them long to become close. I did wonder if Alice would end up telling him that she was asexual, and if anything between the two of them would change if she did. I rooted from them from moment they met to the time their feelings grew. I found myself hoping that it would all work out in end, that Alice’s orientation wouldn’t change that.

I loved the relationship that Alice had with Ryan, Feenie I was not always sure about. I didn’t like how she treated her when she got jealous. But in way I guess I could understand, she used to come with things, and then the guy appears that she goes running to instead. I do feel like she could reacted to it differently, not as harshly. Despite the slight conflict in their friendship, in the end they were still there for each other, they found a way to move past it. I am glad that Alice at least had Ryan while her and Feenie had a slight drama going on. Someone that Alice could talk to. A part of them didn’t want to reach the end of the book, because I knew it would be the end. I couldn’t help but wonder what happened to everyone after, especially with Alice and Takumi and if Ryan and Feenie got married, and were happy. After reading LET’S TALK ABOUT LOVE you form an attachment to the characters, and you can’t help but wonder what happens with them next. I have a feeling that this will be one of those books that I will end up re-reading in the future. It was everything that I love about Young Adult Contemporary books.

A lovely, magical debut novel by CLAIRE KANN and it’s making me curious what she has in store for us next.

A man with a faded, well-worn notebook open in his lap. A woman experiencing a morning ritual she doesn't understand. Until he begins to read to her. An achingly tender story about the enduring power of love.

A man with a faded, well-worn notebook open in his lap. A woman experiencing a morning ritual she doesn't understand. Until he begins to read to her. The Notebook is an achingly tender story about the enduring power of love, a story of miracles that will stay with you forever.

Set amid the austere beauty of coastal North Carolina in 1946, The Notebook begins with the story of Noah Calhoun, a rural Southerner returned home from World War II. Noah, thirty-one, is restoring a plantation home to its former glory, and he is haunted by images of the beautiful girl he met fourteen years earlier, a girl he loved like no other. Unable to find her, yet unwilling to forget the summer they spent together, Noah is content to live with only memories...until she unexpectedly returns to his town to see him once again.

Allie Nelson, twenty-nine, is now engaged to another man, but realizes that the original passion she felt for Noah has not dimmed with the passage of time. Still, the obstacles that once ended their previous relationship remain, and the gulf between their worlds is too vast to ignore. With her impending marriage only weeks away, Allie is forced to confront her hopes and dreams for the future, a future that only she can shape.

No matter how many times I read this story, I fall in love with Allie and Noah’s story every time. To me, THE NOTEBOOK is one of most romantic, beautiful love stories. Of course NICHOLAS SPARKS has a way to suck you into the story and I feel that no matter what type of story that he writes, you end up falling in love with it. At least that how it has been for me. Last time that I read THE NOTEBOOK have been years, I believe that I was still in high school. I saw the movie before I read the book. I tend to love book more that movie, in this case I loved them both. They were different but in good way. Reminds me why NICHOLAS SPARKS has been my favorite author for years. After re-reading THE NOTEBOOK I can tell how much his writing has changed through years, and that doesn’t change how much I love his writing. I am not sure how he does it, but he seems to find a way to get you fall in love with story after only few pages. THE NOTEBOOK wasn’t any different, I was hooked from the first page until last and afterwards I wanted to re -read it again.

I felt bad for Allie’s fiancée, I knew that he loved her even if Noah wasn’t sure he did. Considering how he reacted to news, I knew that he had. I couldn’t even imagine what he was going through, what he was feeling when Allie told him that she was staying. Even though that was what I hoped would happen. I wanted for Noah and Allie find their way back to one another. From a moment that Allie returned, and her and Noah reunited, I could see the love, the desire and the connection between the two of them. It’s impossible to not see, that after all these years, the two of them still loved each other. I feel as if it never stopped, that even though Allie loved Lon in her own way, that love wasn’t the love that she felt for Noah. Reading it, I could actually find myself the emotions that were going through them. Happiness, confusion, love and hope. The love between the two of them, that is what true love should be like. The scenes between Noah and Allie, it had me smiling. I wanted for Allie to choose Noah. He’s the one that Allie belonged with.

The descriptions, the emotions were beautiful in this story. I could feel, imagine everything while I read the book. I felt inspired afterwards. THE NOTEBOOK is a beautiful, heartbreaking, thrilling story about first love and second chances. You can’t help but fall in love with it. I know for fact that NICHOLAS SPARKS will be my favorite romance writer for years to come. I can’t wait to see what other books he writes in future. I am always looking forward to his new stories.

What happens when you fall in love with someone everyone seems determined to fear?

Ninety seconds can change a life — not just daily routine, but who you are as a person. Gretchen Asher knows this, because that’s how long a stranger held her body to the ground. When a car sped toward them and Gretchen’s attacker told her to run, she recognized a surprising terror in his eyes. And now she doesn’t even recognize herself.

Ninety seconds can change a life — not just the place you live, but the person others think you are. Phoenix Flores-Flores knows this, because months after setting off toward the U.S. / Mexico border in search of safety for his brother, he finally walked out of detention. But Phoenix didn’t just trade a perilous barrio in El Salvador for a leafy suburb in Atlanta. He became that person — the one his new neighbors crossed the street to avoid.

Ninety seconds can change a life — so how will the ninety seconds of Gretchen and Phoenix’s first encounter change theirs?

There are so much to love about THE RADIUS OF US and not a single page, a single chapters where you won’t go through a lot of emotions. There won’t be a single page in this book where you won’t wonder what will happen to Gretchen & Phoenix next, where their life would lead them next. How can you not? THE RADIUS OF US was breathtaking, a story that will pull you in from the first word. I am serious. At least that was how it was for me. Within the first two chapters of the book, I fell in love. I should know, I should expected this since I loved MARIE MARQUARDT other two novels. Those two took my breath away, and I didn’t think I could be more amazed. I was wrong. It seems to me, everytime that I read her books, I fall more in love with her writing. MARIE MARQUARDT is one of those wonderfull writers where it’s impossible to not love her books. THE RADIUS OF US is a 3rd book that I have read by her and I am already craving for more. I am already wishing that more of her books were out. I know that she is going be an author that I will love for years to come.

THE RADIUS OF US is filled with a lot of emotions. As you read the book, you will find yourself going through those emotions as well. Even if you haven’t gone through what Gretchen & Phoenix gone through. You will feel for those characters. I did. Every chapter had me wondering what would happen next, had we questioning what would happen with Phoenix and Gretchen, if they would make it. Seemed like there was always something, an obstacle getting in their way. Especially for Phoenix. I liked fact that he is from El Salvador since my roommate and few of my friends are from there. I feel as he was the one person, who seemed to make Gretchen happy, safe after what happened to her. I had a feeling that Gretchen loved him, considering how she helped him with his little brother. Phoenix loves her too. I loved reading the scenes between two of them. I was glad that the two of them could finally be happy. After everything that the two of them went through, they deserve happiness.

I don’t think that I will be able to explain, how much I love this book. There are so many emotions. I believe that it’s pretty emotional book, but in an effective way. Plus I think it’s hard yet important subject to write about. That is one of the things that makes THE RADIUS OF US a powerful and inspirational book. You will think about the story, about the character even once you reach the end. I did. Actually I couldn’t stop thinking about it. If that happens once you read the book, it means that will stay with you. I wanted to write, I wanted to write as well as she did. I was curious about the title, and once I started reading it. All of it made sense. THE RADIUS OF US is a story that I will go back to, that I will re -read in the future. It deserves every star. A story that should be read by everyone.

Juliette Ferrars thought she'd won. She took over Sector 45, was named the new Supreme Commander, and now has Warner by her side. But she's still the girl with the ability to kill with a single touch—and now she's got the whole world in the palm of her hand.

When tragedy hits, who will she become? Will she be able to control the power she wields and use it for good?

This book, this story was…breathtaking, heart aching, remarkable. RESTORE ME will play with your emotions, at least that what happened while I was reading it. Despite that, it will be impossible to put it down. I didn’t want put it down, but at same time I didn’t want reach the end because I knew it will be a while until next book is out. Once I did, I was blown away, I did not expect that. Now, how am I supposed wait a year to see what happens? I know for fact that my emotions are all over the place now. That ending… unexpected. I know I shouldn’t be surprised, TAHEREH MAFI has done that all through the series. However, that was most unexpected twist. There was a part of me, that wanted to go back to beginning of book and re-read RESTORE ME again. I have a feeling that it will be a book that I will re-read before the next one comes out. I’m happy that TAHEREH MAFI decided to write more book in Shatter Me Series . I was already in love with this series, the characters. Now, after reading the 4th book in the series, I believe that I am even more in love with it. One of best young adult fantasy series. I can’t seem to get enough of it.

As you know by now, I love Warner and Juliette together. I love reading the scenes between two of them. You can see, tell how much in love they are with one another. Which is another reason that I loved RESTORE ME because it was written from both Juliette and Warner’s point of view. I felt like I could connect, got to know Warner better by reading from his point of view. I loved the character before, but now I love him more. Yes, he kept things from Juliette, but he didn’t do it on purpose. Besides, everybody makes mistakes. The emotions in this book, both Juliette and Warner’s were so well written, I could feel myself feeling those emotions while I was reading the book. I could feel Juliette’s anger, confusion, sadness and Warner’s grief, guilt, heartbreak. I am not sure if I can make it an entire year, to see what happens after. Especially with Warner and Juliette, I can’t help but wonder if he’s okay. Can they repair what happened between two of them? I am hoping, they can. Juliette loves him so there might be a chance.

Kenji, another character I love. He helped Warner even though the two of them dislike one another. I love how he is always there for Juliette. Everyone needs a friend like him. Someone that they can always go to. I hope that he is okay, that he will be okay. I don’t think that I will be happy if he’s not. Story and characters wasn’t all I loved about this story. Did you see that cover? I think from the entire series, this one is my favorite one so far. I love the colors. The cover alone, and the title will hook any reader. Shatter Me covers are so unique, unlike any that I seen before and type that will catch anyone’s eyes. TAHEREH MAFI did it once again, a beautiful, thrilling addition to the series. I can’t wait to see what she has waiting for us next. A book, a series that deserves more than 5 stars, five is not enough, deserves so much more.

Be ready for thrilling, emotional ride. A story that you won’t be able to get out of your mind.

Going rogue in an effort to rescue her kidnapped parents has cost Reagan Hillis her automatic ticket to the Training Academy. But becoming a Black Angel is the only way Reagan will be able to exact revenge on her mother’s merciless killer, Santino Torres.

When Reagan is given a chance to prove that she’s worthy of training to be a Black Angel, she also gets the first chance she’s ever had to be her true self. No aliases. No disguises.

But when her friend Luke joins her at the Black Angels training compound, Reagan finds herself once again torn between the person she was and the person she wants to be. Reagan has to prove that she's as good as her parents trained her to be, because she’ll never find Torres without the Black Angels’ help.

I have been looking forward to this book, ever since I read the first book, YOU DON’T KNOW MY NAME last year. After that cliffhanger in the first book, I have been eager to see what happens next with Reagan ever since. Now that I have read YOU WON’T KNOW I’M GONE especially after that ending, I am even more curious than ever what’s to come for Reagan and Luke next. This story sucks you right from the first page up until the last page, and afterwards have you craving for more. I can’t believe that I have to wait a year, to see what happens next. I’m not sure if I can last a year. I finished the book a while back and I am still wondering. What will happen with Luke & Reagan? Will they be available to come back? How can you not and wonder? After that twist in the book. I should seen it coming, but even I didn’t think that she would actually go through with it.

I loved YOU DON’T KNOW MY NAME and I think that’s when I feel in love with story, the characters. However, I fell in love with series more after reading YOU WON’T KNOW I’M GONE . This are my type of books, one filled with romance, action, suspense and twists that you don’t see coming. I actually enjoyed the 2nd book in Black Angel Chronicles a bit more than the first book. I am not quite sure why, there wasn’t as much action in this one, but from moment that I picked up, I was hooked. I was happy for a snow day today, so I could finish reading it. I spent few hours doing that, until I reached the end. Of course afterwards I wished that the next book was out already. I love KRISTEN ORLANDO writing and how she finds a way to connect the reader with the main character, Reagan. I’m in love, with the series, the characters. Black Angel Chronicles is unlike any thriller book or series I read before. I have feeling that it’s series I will be re-reading multiple times in the future.

I loved the new characters, Cam and Anusha. They were both unique in their own way, and I loved how they all became such good friends. I think that’s what she needed, friends who knew the real her. I am curious to find out what happens to them as well. Would they be in danger too? I enjoyed the fact that most of this book focused on Black Angels Training. I felt as if I found out more about Black Angels and what goes into training. If it were me, I would not lasted there long. That’s a lot of work. A lot of danger too. Reagan worked so hard, and now that mostly went down the drain for her, and for Luke. It has me wondering if the things between the two of them be the same again. Luke loves her, and what she done, I can’t see that it will. I am hoping that it will. Luke is who she needs, who she needs by her side.

Do you like thriller stories? With some romance and a lot of action and mystery. Black Angels Chronicles is a series that you will want to check out. You will be hooked . Be ready for a thrilling ride.

Back when they were still strangers, TJ Carvalho witnessed the only moment in Vivi Flannigan’s life when she lost control entirely. Now, TJ can’t seem to erase that moment from his mind, no matter how hard he tries. Vivi doesn’t remember any of it, but she’s determined to leave it far behind. And she will.

But when Vivi returns home from her first year away at college, her big plans and TJ’s ambition to become a nurse land them both on the heart ward of a university hospital, facing them with a long and painful summer together – three months of glorified babysitting for Ángel, the problem patient on the hall. Sure, Ángel may be suffering from a life-threatening heart infection, but that doesn’t make him any less of a pain.

As it turns out, though, Ángel Solís has a thing or two to teach them about all those big plans, and the incredible moments when love gets in their way.

A stunning, heartbreaking story about love, friendship, grief and hope.

I’m not sure I can find the word to describe the emotions that I was feeling, as I read this story. I was blown away . I think that this is a book that everyone should read. Trust me, when I tell you that FLIGHT SEASON is not a story that you will forget. I finished it last night and I still find myself thinking about the story, the characters. I had a feeling that I was going to love this book, I read DREAM THINGS TRUE back in 2015 and loved it. I should expected this. I guess I did not realize that I would end up falling in love with story. I laughed, I cried. I think that I went through the emotions that TJ, Vivi and Angel all went through. I felt connected all three of them. If I were asked which of three of them was my favorite, I don’t think that I would be able to pick because I loved all of them. It’s like asking to pick a favorite friend, there is not such thing as favorite. TJ, Vivi and Angel, by reading their stories I felt as if they became my friends.

I felt as if there was something, an attraction between TJ and Vivi, a minute that they met. I am not sure if TJ liked her too much at first, and I think it was because the first time he met her, she was messed up. I guess in a way he judged her a little because of how he acted, last time that he seen her. At least that the feeling that I got. However that didn’t seem to last long, especially once he started to spend more time with her, and Angel. Once he got to know her, it was not long before he became attracted to her. Even Angel saw it before he did. It was not long before I wanted them to end up together. I could see how much TJ cared about her, probably a way that no guy cared about her before. After what she went through, Vivi deserved her happily after. Both did. I loved reading the scenes between the two of them, most of time they had me smiling.

My favorite was the friendship that Angel, TJ and Vivi developed through book. That was one of things that surprised me. I think it was due to way that Angel acted to TJ and Vivi in beginning of the book. It was not long before the three of them were best friends. The most unexpected friendship. I wasn’t fond of Angel at start, I felt sorry for him but I did not care for his attitude. It was not long before he had me laughing. I thought what TJ and Vivi did for him towards the end was sweet. By the last couple chapters of the book, I was crying and it was good thing I was at home at that time. I couldn’t help myself. I love the birds facts, the bird illustrations in FLIGHT SEASON , and I feel that I learned more about birds that I knew prior to reading book. There is part of me that wants to learn more about birds after I read the book, and I just might.

FLIGHT SEASON might only 2nd book that I read by MARIE MARQUARDT and it won’t be last. I am already amazed by her, by her writing. Once I finished reading the book, I felt inspired to write. I have feeling that she will the author that I will read for years to come. She’s an author that is worth checking out. A writer whose stories will touch your heart.
