My Super Sweet Sixteen Century, is one of those books I knew I was going to love, from a moment I read the summary on Goodreads, when I came across the author’s profile page. I always loved books about time travel, and historical fiction. But there was always something about Sixteen Century that I loved. My Super Sweet Sixteen Century was an amazing debut by Rachel Harris, who I been talking to and is complete sweetheart. It has everything, mystery, romance, action. You won’t be able to put the book down till you reach the end, and even then you be craving for more. I’m looking forward to next book in the series, especially the way she ended the first book. I’m not sure if I can wait till 2013 to read the next one. I know that The Tale Of Two Centuries will be as engaging.

  GOODREADS SUMMARY
On the precipice of her sixteenth birthday, the last thing lone wolf Cat Crawford wants is an extravagant gala thrown by her bubbly stepmother-to-be and well-meaning father. So even though Cat knows the family’s trip to Florence, Italy, is a peace offering, she embraces the magical city and all it offers. But when her curiosity leads her to an unusual gypsy tent, she exits . . . right into Renaissance Firenze.

Thrust into the sixteenth century armed with only a backpack full of contraband future items, Cat joins up with her ancestors, the sweet Alessandra and protective Cipriano, and soon falls for the gorgeous aspiring artist Lorenzo. But when the much-older Niccolo starts sniffing around, Cat realizes that an unwanted birthday party is nothing compared to an unwanted suitor full of creeptastic amore.

Can she find her way back to modern times before her Italian adventure turns into an Italian forever?

Cover of My Super Sweet Sixteen Century is stunning, and unique in way. Due to fact that the girl on the cover who I figured is Cat, wearing a gown while holding a backpack. Of course I love the background behind Cat, so stunning. It actually has such great images, and I found myself wishing that I was actually there, along with Cat. Florence was one place that I always wanted to visit. Even if I didn’t read the summary of the book first, I knew the cover would totally capture my attention and make me want to pick up the book. It’s the type of novel that has mysterious look to it. It screams adventure right from the cover.

Now, the storyline. I loved everything about it. I have read few books about time travel, before this one but it wasn’t anything like that. I loved the fact how different this book was, I haven’t read anything like that before, and it was unique. My favorite part was that the time travel took place to the sixteen century. I loved reading about the Renaissance, the costumes, dresses. It was always my favorite part, way that everyone was dressing. I found myself wondering how Cat would adjust to it, and if anyone would figure out that Cat wasn’t ‘Patience’ and that she didn’t belong there. In way, I was glad when Alessandra discovered it, that Cat had someone who was there, and knew who she truly was. I loved the suspense, the action that was in that story; it got even harder to put the book down. Just like Cat, I was curious if she would ever be able to go home.

Friendship between Alessandra and Cat, I loved it right from beginning. I knew right from moment we met her, that her and Cat were going become good friends, despite Cat not letting people in. I was glad that she was one who discovered the truth about her. I have feeling that if someone else found out, they would react completely different. Also the fact that she didn’t treat Cat any different, even after she found that she wasn’t Patience. She reminded me of few of my friends, who is just always there, no matter what and doesn’t judge. Besides Cat, Alessandra was one of my favorite characters in the book.

Lorenzo. I loved him from start. But then how can you not love him? I could see connection between him and Cat from the start. I had a feeling that two of them were going to fall in love, despite Cat trying to deny it. I knew she loved him. Especially the way she kept looking for him, when she got back to her time. I’m kind of curious what could happen if two of them ran away together. Would Cat remain in her century if that happened? But I loved the bond between two of them, and I could tell that he cared about her. I’m kind of curious what is going to happen with him next.

The ending, wow. Did not see that coming. I thought it be Lorenzo on the other end of the door. Alessandra was the last person I expected to see. The ending made me crave for next novel even more. I need to know how she ended up here, and how she would adjust.

I didn’t want the book come to end, cause I enjoyed so much. Rachel’s descriptions of Florence scenery were amazing. There wasn’t anything I didn’t like about it. This girl here has amazing talent. Who I wanted to thank for sending me autographed sticker and bookmark to go along with book, made my day. My Super Sweet Sixteen Century is worth checking out and if I could give more than 5 stars, I would. It deserves it.
