Once Upon A Broken Heart(Once Upon A Broken Heart,#1)

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

For as long as she can remember, Evangeline Fox has believed in true love and happy endings . . . until she learns that the love of her life will marry another.

Desperate to stop the wedding and to heal her wounded heart, Evangeline strikes a deal with the charismatic, but wicked, Prince of Hearts. In exchange for his help, he asks for three kisses, to be given at the time and place of his choosing.

But after Evangeline’s first promised kiss, she learns that bargaining with an immortal is a dangerous game ― and that the Prince of Hearts wants far more from her than she’d pledged. He has plans for Evangeline, plans that will either end in the greatest happily ever after, or the most exquisite tragedy.

This book is magical, heartbreaking, heartwarming, and everything that I love about romantasy. It’s safe to say that it’s my favorite romantasy for the year – so far.

I’ve heard about Once Upon A Broken Heart when it just came out, and it has been on my to read list for a while. Then one of my best friends read it and told me I needed to check it out. We have been reading the series together since. I'm so glad she got me to read it. I may have lost sleep over this book because I couldn't put it down. If you're going to read this book, make sure you have time. Everything about this book is magical and extraordinary, especially the characters. You will come across characters you hate, and others you know you should hate but secretly love. Also, the world-building is outstanding!

I loved Evangeline from the start, although I felt that Luc didn’t love her the way that she loved him. There was something about Luc that I didn’t completely trust. I was hoping that she would see that at some point. The connection between Jacks and Evangeline was instant; even if the two of them didn’t see at the time, I knew that there was something there. I knew that I shouldn’t like Jacks, and at first, I didn’t. I didn’t trust him. However, as the book progressed, he grew on me. He was one of most compelling characters I have read about. There is something about him, you cannot help but like him. The twists and turns in this book…it’s one of things that will have you turning the page. Just when I didn’t think I could be more surprised, only to be proven wrong.

I cannot get this story out of my mind, and I will be starting the next one – I need to know what happens. The action, the magic system, and the way Stephanie describes everything are remarkable and feel so real. I have a feeling that this is going to end being one of my favorite series. Highly recommended for romantasy fans.
