Darkest Storm(Star Touched:Witch Blade,#2)

  ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Jade Harrington wasn't supposed to have magic at all, let alone the silver lightning that marks her as the most dangerous student on a volcanic island full of witches. And she definitely wasn't supposed to fall for Logan Ashford, the infuriatingly controlled proctor who trains her in secret, kisses her like she's the only thing keeping him human, and guards his own darkness with a ferocity that terrifies her.

But after the devastating events of Halloween night, two people are missing, and the Witch Council sends investigators to find out why. Every answer they uncover drags them closer to the truth Jade’s desperate to hide, and even Logan's walls are starting to crack under the pressure.

However, the investigation soon becomes the least of Jade’s problems. Because when monsters breach the island, Jade's lightning explodes in front of everyone—shattering the secret Logan nearly destroyed himself to protect and launching them into a monster-infested sea that was never meant to let anyone leave alive.

Once again, I shouldn’t be surprised. I didn’t think that I could fall in love with this series even more, but I was proven wrong.. Darkest Storm picked up right where Silver Storm left off, and I was captivated by every page. This is one of those books: just when you think you can put it down, you find yourself reading for hours. You also find yourself recommending this series to your friends. I love the way Michelle portrays her characters, especially Jade, Logan, and Evie. The growth in those characters is phenomenal. Although it’s only the second book, I feel such deep connections to these characters.

Jade came a long way from the first book. I love the way that she wants to help others. I adore the way she is with Logan and the way that she reassures him. I love the connection that the two of them share. I do feel that Logan is overprotective at times, but I understand why he is. I enjoyed that this book was written from different perspectives; a chance for us to get other characters better. Besides Logan and Jade, Evie has become my favorite.

World-building is one of the best in this book. The way Michelle described everything those characters face is remarkable. This story deserves more than five stars. I feel as if this book would make an amazing TV show. I can go on about this book; that’s how much impact it had on me. I’m eager to pick up the next book right away and see what awaits everyone next.
