As bubbly as champagne and delectable as wedding cake, Once and for All, Sarah Dessen's thirteenth novel, is set in the world of wedding planning, where crises are routine.
Louna, daughter of famed wedding planner Natalie Barrett, has seen every sort of wedding: on the beach, at historic mansions, in fancy hotels and clubs. Perhaps that's why she's cynical about happily-ever-after endings, especially since her own first love ended tragically. When Louna meets charming, happy-go-lucky serial dater Ambrose, she holds him at arm's length. But Ambrose isn't about to be discouraged, now that he's met the one girl he really wants.

What is there to say? Another beautifully written story. A book that will have you going through the emotions, and you will find yourself falling in love.
I have been a big SARAH DESSEN fan for years, and there wasn’t a single book that I didn’t enjoy. Like her other books, I fell in love with the characters, the plot of the story. Every page, every chapter had me craving for more. This is the second time that I read ONCE AND FOR ALL , and I have feeling as if I fell in love more, than when I read it the first time around couple years ago. That is one of the things that I love about her books, you can re-read them multiple times, and each time you read them, you will fall in love with story. Even though this is second time that I read this book, I couldn’t pull myself from the story. As I read the story, the story became real to me and I felt all the emotions that Louna felt, especially about Ethan. It was as if I was there besides her. ONCE AND FOR ALL is an emotional book, and you will cry. I did. Especially after finding out what happened with Ethan. I cannot imagine going through something that horrific, losing someone that you love that way. It is during that times that I wished that I could go over there, and give her a big hug. I did wonder if she would tell Ambrose the truth about what happened to Ethan. I hoped that she would because he deserved to know the truth.
Ambrose, first of all, don’t you just love that name? I think it’s an unique name and it fits the character well. I had a strong feeling that Ambrose liked Louna when he met her, but I was not positive. As the book progressed, I knew that he did, the way he acted around her, and seemed to want to be around her. I knew that there was a reason that he made the bet, and I knew that he was hoping that he would win. I couldn’t help but wonder who would win. I wanted Louna to come to realization of how she feel about Ambrose. I knew that she liked him, but she seemed to be in denial. Maybe it was because of Ethan, or maybe she was afraid of commitment, but I hoped that she would figure out soon. That’s why I loved the ending, and I actually was smiling at that scene, but then how could I not? I did not want to reach the end, because ending meant that I had to say goodbye to everyone. I have feeling that ONCE AND FOR ALL will be book that I will end up re-reading again in the future. I love the fact that it was about wedding planning; I always enjoyed books that had weddings in them. I loved reading about the process of how weddings are planned. It made it so real, because I could imagine it all.
Jilly, Will- My other favorite characters. How could you not love them? I loved how Will was with Louna and Natalie, and how he seemed to take care of them. I loved his personality in general, he’s a character that you will fall in love with. Jilly, she reminds me of my best friend, and the type of person that everyone wants to be friends with. She took care of Louna, always. I am glad that Louna had her as a best friend. In general ONCE AND FOR ALL is a book that you cannot help with fall in love with, from the first page. A book that deserves more than five stars. Breathtaking, touching YA Contemporary that I highly recommend to everyone.
