Then, a month before the execution date, Riley’s world is rocked when, in an attempt to help her move on, her father secretly confesses to her that he actually did carry out the murders. An emotional roller coaster ride.

THE ROW is the type of books that I adore, a story that reels you in from first sentence till the last. I was sucked in from second that I saw the cover on Netgalley and once I read the blurb I was hooked. I knew that THE ROW was the novel that I had to check out. How can you not want read story about a girl whose father is in jail for murder, and despite what blurb says as I reader I cannot help but wonder, is he innocent or is he guilty? How will Riley’s life changes if her father dies? Up till her father told her that he committed those murders, I was sure that he was innocent, because of how he acted with Riley. I had hard time believing that a guy like him could killed those women. Once he confessed to Riley I was as shocked as she had been and I started to wonder, could he had actually be a murderer? Of course then he took it back right away and at that point I didn’t even know what to think. I can’t even begin to imagine what Riley must been going through at that moment. She must been so confused and I feel like there could been part of her that felt betrayed. I understand why she decided to investigate even though she was aware how dangerous it could get. If I were her I would want the truth too.

Jordan, how can you not love that guy? Despite the fact that his father was one who put Riley’s father in jail those years ago. You can tell that there is connection between two of them from the start, even if Riley tries to deny it. Especially when she finds out who Jordan is, and that he had known who she was. I loved the fact that he seemed to want to help her, to protect her from start. The fact that her father is on death row for murder didn’t scare him or make him think differently about her, unlike everyone else who found out about her father. I feel like Riley needed someone like Jordan whenever she wanted him or not. I could tell that she tried to ignore the feelings she had for him, and as time passed I saw that it got harder for her to ignore the bond that she had with Jordan. I rooted for her to finally accept him and realize that Jordan is the one that she should be with.

The ending, that was unexpected. The way that Stacia acted I was sure that she was killer. I did not see that twist coming. Even though he was acting a bit weird after getting out of jail, he had been in jail for 12 years. Not once did it enter my mind that he might want to harm his wife. After that letter, I had no doubt in my mind that he was the killer. My heart broke for Riley thought, after all that energy she put into visiting him all these years, and then trying to prove his innocence. I can’t imagine the feeling she must been having when she realized that he was the killer, and to watch him trying to kill her mother. No child should have go through something like that. But that what made book so interesting because of so many unexpected twists that seemed to appear within the book. On multiple occasions I found myself wondering what was going to come next.

THE ROW Is a story about one family whose life falls apart, a story about love, hope, and the truth. A novel that will stay with you and keep you on the edge of your seat.
