His Other Woman.

  ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
 4.5
Thank you to publisher,Boldwood Books for E ARC via Netgalley, in exchange for an honest review.

Fiona Carlton has never needed a man to make her life complete. Until she meets charming, handsome and sophisticated Richard. She is consumed, first by lust, then by a love for him that overwhelms her. The only problem? Richard already has a wife. But a little detail like that isn’t going to stand in Fiona’s way…

Richard’s wife, Lydia, however, is not a woman to be trifled with. She’s sacrificed everything for her husband, been the perfect stay-at-home wife and mother, raised two beautiful children, built a happy home full of memories. She refuses to stand by and watch a woman like Fiona take what’s hers.

But when both women discover the truth about the man they love, everything changes…

 ðŸŒ·

This is the type of thriller I love - the one that keeps you reading late into the night. Once I finished this book, I wanted to go back and reread it. I ended up reading most of this book while on the plane. I found myself unable to pull away from this story; I couldn’t help but wonder what would happen next with Fiona and Lydia. You couldn’t help but be curious about what would happen next, what they would do once they found out the truth about Richard. It’s a good thing I was flying while reading, or I would have had trouble putting this book down. It took me a while to figure out what I should write, because there was so much that I loved about this one.

His Other Woman was the second book that I have read by Valerie Keogh, and so far, my favorite one. I liked the writing style, and that she wrote from both Lydia and Fiona’s perspectives, giving the reader a chance to get a feel for what they are thinking and feeling. When I started reading the book, I guessed what happened, but it turned out to be far from what happened. I think that what makes the best books is the ones that keep you guessing from start until the end. I cannot get the story and the characters out of my head. When you start this book, make sure that you have time to read because you won’t be able to put it down.

I loved the way Valerie crafted Lydia, Fiona, and Richard, and the way all the characters grew, especially Fiona and Lydia. I also liked the way Valerie built the suspense in this book; I could see it playing out in my mind, like a movie. Just when you think you figured out what was going to happen next, another twist had you second-guessing everything. I don’t remember the last time I read a thriller with so many twists, and that’s what I loved about this one. I would highly recommend His Other Woman, and the author in general. Now, I’m even more eager to check out her other works!
