The Holiday Whoopie(Hideaway Harbor,#3)

 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Thank you to the author,Sara L Hudson for  E ARC, in exchange for an honest review.

What happens when a type-A small-town baker and a Hollywood lawyer collide?
Whoopie… pies , for starters.

Audrey Nouel didn’t swap Manhattan’s Michelin stars for Maine’s whoopie pies just to fall for a man who wears thousand-dollar suits like pajamas. She’s got a bakery to run, a cease-and-desist letter threatening her business, and zero chill for the city-boy Grinch who strolls in looking like he wrote the naughty list.

Jack Lourd didn’t plan on spending Christmas in a postcard-perfect harbor town—or partnering with a feisty baker who swears she doesn’t need his help. He’s here for his movie-star client, not to trade legal briefs for frosting bags.

But toss in one ill-timed snowstorm, a gingerbread house catastrophe, and a Christmas tree takedown that goes viral, and you’ve got a hot recipe for whoopie.

 ðŸŒ·

I love the Hideaway Harbor series, and even though each book is about a different couple, I like the way they occasionally mention characters from other books, even if it’s just briefly. First, I love the title of this one The Holiday Whoopie, it just screams at you to pick it up. The Holiday Whoopie is one of those books that will make you hungry and craving something sweet. On multiple occasions, I wished that Audrey’s bakery was real so that I could try one. I liked the descriptions in this book; they were so vivid, which made the book play out in my mind like a movie.

I liked the chemistry between Audrey and Jack, and how hard both tried to deny their attraction to one another. Although I think that Audrey was in more of a denial than Jack. I enjoyed reading about their banter, some of which had me laughing, while others made me roll my eyes. Most of all, I adored the community of Hideaway Harbor and how they made Jack feel part of the community. It’s one of the reasons that I wish that Hideway Harbor were real. I loved the interaction between all the characters; the type of community that was impossible not to love. The more I read, the harder it was to put the book down. Every page had me wondering what would happen with Audrey and Jack next.

This was my first book by Sara L. Hudson and I’m eager to check out her others! Another thing that I love about Hideway Harbor is discovering all these new authors! I am so grateful that I had the chance to read this book. Highly recommended! I cannot wait to see what’s next for Hideway Harbor!
