I fell in love with City Love Trilogy when I picked up the first book in the series. I followed the adventures, the struggles of Sadie, Darcy and Rosanna from first book, and when I reached last page in FOREVER IN LOVE to me I felt, as if I was saying goodbye to my longtime friends. Reading the books, that’s what Sadie, Darcy and Rosanna became to me, friends. I am aware that they are fictional characters but to me they were real. That’s one of things that I love about SUSANE COLASANTI novels, she always finds a way to hook you to the story, and connect with characters. There wasn’t a single book of hers that I read where I didn’t connect with characters that I was reading about. Even as I reached the last page in FOREVER IN LOVE I could not help but wonder what’s going to happen with Sadie, Darcy and Rosanna after.
As I said before, I loved the friendship between Sadie, Darcy and Rosanna. Despite the little distance between Darcy and Rosanna for a while, in the end the three of them were always there for one another. It reminds me of couple of my best friends, they are always there for me when I need them, and same goes for me. With Darcy, Rosanna and Sadie, they were so lucky to be able to connect so fast, not long after meeting each other. Friendships like those don’t happen often. I think if they didn’t have one another, they might able to move past their breakups, and move from their past. I believe that the three of them is what kept them strong and what kept them on going. Sadie, Darcy and Rosanna showed each other the true meaning of friendship.
I was a bit sad that Rosanna didn’t end up with Donovan. I did see some changes in him when he started hanging out with his ex. I was hoping that he would stop hanging out with her, once he found out that she has feelings for him. I know that he cared about Rosanna, but fact that he started spending more time with his ex, and always running to her rescue, that’s a red flag right there. In beginning I was sure that the two of them would end up together, but later I realized that it wouldn’t work, not if he was still in love with his ex. I know it was hard to let Rosanna let anyone in after what happened to her, so I hope she can find someone in future, to make her happy. I was happy that Darcy ended up with Jude, who she belonged right from start. I do wish that she realized it earlier than she did. However I am glad that she got her happy ending, especially after everything she went through with Logan and her father.
Not only was FOREVER IN LOVE a beautiful story, it was inspiring. Not long after I finished reading it, when I started working on my own book because I felt so inspired afterwards. I am sad to say goodbye to everyone and I know that I will most likely end up reading multiple times in future. A breathtaking, astonishing , magical story that you will find thinking long after you reach the end.
