Love ignites in the City That Never Sleeps, but can it last?
Hopeless romantic Isla has had a crush on introspective cartoonist Josh since their first year at the School of America in Paris. And after a chance encounter in Manhattan over the summer, romance might be closer than Isla imagined. But as they begin their senior year back in France, Isla and Josh are forced to confront the challenges every young couple must face, including family drama, uncertainty about their college futures, and the very real possibility of being apart.
Featuring cameos from fan-favorites Anna, Étienne, Lola, and Cricket, this sweet and sexy story of true love—set against the stunning backdrops of New York City, Paris, and Barcelona—is a swoonworthy conclusion to Stephanie Perkins’s beloved series.

I know that there was a reason that I love Stephanie Perkins novels. Each of her novels that I have come across literally took my breath away. They make me go through so much emotion, happiness, sadness, hope, love. Perkins writes types of novels that you can’t help but love. I first came across Perkins in 2011 when I got her first book, Anna & The French Kiss for my birthday. From the first page I knew that it’s author I was going love. I was right. Isla & The Happily Ever After wasn’t any different, I loved it as much as I did other two. I loved that they were featured in this book as well, even if it wasn’t till end of the novel. Isla & Happily Ever After was a book I been waiting for years, and it’s a book that you should pick up. A book that’s worth waiting for.
Beautiful, breathtaking, memorable writing. The setting and sights had such vivid descriptions that had me wishing that I was there right now, along with Isla and Josh. I could picture it in my mind, everything that Josh and Isla explored and the school that they studied it. Paris had always been one of the places that I had always wanted to visit. Once I read this book, I was much more tempted to go there than ever. How could I not want to? Especially after such images that Perkins put in my mind. I love authors that make the readers feel as they are actually there, along with the characters that are exploring. Not only that but the reader feels as if he can actually connect with a character, because of the way that emotions are portrayed within this novel, it makes reader be able to feel what the character does. I felt as if I could feel practically every emotion that Isla, Josh felt. Perkins has a way to pull the reader into the story. I was pulled from the first page, till the last.
You can’t help but love Josh & Isla, how can you not? They relationship was cute, and I could tell by middle of the book how much in love they were. In beginning though, Isla annoyed me a bit at first. She seemed like she was a bit obsessed over Josh at start. I was sure that Josh didn’t feel same about her, especially considering that he seemed to avoid her slightly after that one incident where Isla talked to him, because she was high on painkillers. I should know better, that he assumed that she was the one who didn’t like him that way. I believe that what Isla & Josh had was real love, considering everything that they went through, all of that drama. In the end they still ended up together, both of them got their happily after, just like they deserved. I was grinning by end of the book, especially when St.Clair proposed to Anna, I think I was actually jumping with joy by then. It had me wanting to pick up Anna &The French Kiss again. Isla & Happily Ever After was filled with romance and the scenes had me smiling the whole way. An amazing to end to a breathtaking series.
If you love romance, and if you enjoyed other two books in Anna & The French Kiss, be sure to pick up a conclusion to the series. A story not only about love but also family, friendship, making choices and moving on. A book that you will find yourself staying up late for in order to finish it. A story that you will fall in love, and remember for years to come. Unforgettable tale.
