After a wild bet, gourmet grilled-cheese sandwich, and cuddle with a baby goat, Alexis Montgomery has had her world turned upside down. The cause: Daniel Grant, a ridiculously hot carpenter who’s ten years younger than her and as casual as they come—the complete opposite of sophisticated city-girl Alexis. And yet their chemistry is undeniable.
While her ultra-wealthy parents want her to carry on the family legacy of world-renowned surgeons, Alexis doesn’t need glory or fame. She’s fine with being a “mere” ER doctor. And every minute she spends with Daniel and the tight-knit town where he lives, she’s discovering just what’s really important. Yet letting their relationship become anything more than a short-term fling would mean turning her back on her family and giving up the opportunity to help thousands of people.
Bringing Daniel into her world is impossible, and yet she can’t just give up the joy she’s found with him either. With so many differences between them, how can Alexis possibly choose between her world and his?

I am at a loss for words. This story crushed my heart and made me laugh and smile. I can't stop talking about this book, and my feelings are still all over the place. Part Of Your World is the kind of romantic book I adore; it makes me feel a variety of emotions and eager to read it. I listened to the audiobook for this book because it had one of my favorite narrators, Julia Wheelan. Both narrators, Julia Wheelan and Zachary Webber , worked beautifully for Alexis and Daniel; the narrators brought them alive for me. I have listened to a few books by Julia Wheelan , but this was the first time for Zachary Webber , and it will not be the last. Both narrators did an excellent job conveying the emotions; I felt like I was experiencing everything Alexis and Daniel did.
Alexis and Daniel were two completely different people, and yet they found a connection with each other. I sensed their connection and attraction the first time they spoke, even if they hadn't noticed it. At first, I didn't see how it would work between the two of them, especially because Alexis was living so far away. I was certain that it would not last. It didn't take me long to realize that what the two of them had was more than just a fling; they were falling for each other. Why would Alexis drive two hours for a fling or spend hours talking on the phone with him? They clearly couldn't get enough of each other. I could spend hours listening to this book. I felt quite connected to the characters, particularly Alexis and Daniel. However, I felt a great connection to Bri; they were my three favorite characters.
In addition to Alexis and Daniel, I cherished Alexis and Bri's friendship. Based on their behavior, Jessica and Gabby seemed phony, particularly when they visited Wakan. Bri and Alexis had a genuine bond; she was always there for Alexis in times of need and offered the greatest wisdom. Perhaps it's because I adore little towns, but Wakan seems like the town I could picture myself living in. I loved everything about Part Of Your World : the story, the characters, the character development, and how realistic it felt. Abby Jimenez has been on my reading list for a while, and I’m glad I finally got to check her out. I would highly recommend this book to any romance fans. I’m eager to check out Bri’s story in Yours Truly next.
