I know that’s been a while since my last review. My job kept me pretty busy. I am working with Toddlers this year and they are much more active, meaning more work. Plus I am working later hours this year, so not home till 7:30pm. Then I sprained my wrist, in December so couldn’t type for a while.
I hope everyone had a great Christmas and a Happy New Year. New Year, and I will attempt to do more reviews this time around.
GOODREADS SUMMARY
Galen is the prince of the Syrena, sent to land to find a girl he's heard can communicate with fish. Emma is on vacation at the beach. When she runs into Galen—literally, ouch!—both teens sense a connection. But it will take several encounters, including a deadly one with a shark, for Galen to be convinced of Emma's gifts. Now, if he can only convince Emma that she holds the key to his kingdom...
Told from both Emma and Galen's points of view, here is a fish-out-of-water story that sparkles with intrigue, humor, and waves of romance.

Of Poseidon, is one of most engaging mermaid books I read. I have read few others before picking up this one. It’s my favorite. I fell in love with the story, the characters from the first page. I actually stayed up few times to read it, because I needed to see what’s going to happen next. Even if it’s fictional, all of the characters felt real to me. Especially Emma and Galen. The author made them fell real, along with all of emotions that they were going through in the book.
What captured my attention was the cover, it’s stunning. It’s what got me to pick up the novel. The summary wasn’t as appealing to me, but I decided to give it a chance. I’m glad that I did, I loved it more than I thought I would. The ending made me crave for more, how can you not want know what happens next, after a twist like that? That was unexpected. I haven’t seen that coming. It made me curious, why she pretended to be dead all these years? And what was going to happen next. With Emma, Galen.
I loved that this book was from both Emma and Galen’s point of view. At first I wasn’t fond of Galen like Emma wasn’t, I felt like he was only getting close to her, to use her. I never thought that he would fall in love with him. Of course I didn’t think Emma would either, way she seemed to dislike him in the beginning. But more time the two of them spend together, I could tell how much the two of them started care for one another. I start rooting for them to get together. With an ending like that, I got feeling that things for them are about to change.
This novel is filled with action, romance. Once you pick it up, you ;ll want pick the next one right away, to see what happens. I know that I want to. It’s worth your time.

Wow, thanks for sharing your insights regarding this book. How's your wrist now, Jenia? A lot of people don't take sprains seriously and end up worsening their condition. Just make sure you have it checked on trusted clinics if you experience recurring pain.
