She’s more gunpowder than girl—and the fate of the desert lies in her hands.

Mortals rule the desert nation of Miraji, but mystical beasts still roam the wild and barren wastes, and rumor has it that somewhere, djinni still practice their magic. But there's nothing mystical or magical about Dustwalk, the dead-end town that Amani can't wait to escape from.

Destined to wind up "wed or dead," Amani’s counting on her sharpshooting skills to get her out of Dustwalk. When she meets Jin, a mysterious and devastatingly handsome foreigner, in a shooting contest, she figures he’s the perfect escape route. But in all her years spent dreaming of leaving home, she never imagined she'd gallop away on a mythical horse, fleeing the murderous Sultan's army, with a fugitive who's wanted for treason. And she'd never have predicted she'd fall in love with him... or that he'd help her unlock the powerful truth of who she really is.

When I picked up REBEL OF THE SANDS I wasn’t sure what to expect from this novel, the title and the summary was what drew me into a story. Now that I have read it, I am gratefull that it did. It was unlike any other stories that I have read, at least not lately. I was hooked into story from the first page to the last and afterwards was craving for more. I knew that it is a fictional story, but to me it felt real, every single page. Most of the novel, I felt like I was there besides Amani and Jin, every single step of the way. Through reading it, I felt every single emotion that Amani did and I pictured everything that was happing and to me, the story became real. I was eager to see what would happen with them next, if they will be able to escape.

I love Amani from start of the book, she has courage, to do what she did. She could sold out Jin easily but she didn’t. She has courage too, and determination. Amani is one of those characters that you can’t help but love. I love realthionship between her and Jin and even if they kept going back and forth, you could see that there was an attraction between the two of them, from the moment that the two of them kissed on the train. Even when Amani was trying to avoid him, I had a feeling that it was harder for her to get him out of her mind. She wouldn’t rescued him if she didn’t care about him. Of course now I am eager to find out what’s in store for them next.

REBEL OF THE SANDS is one story that I wished I read sooner, and I have a feeling that it will be a series that I am going fall in love with. I am already in love with the characters and the story. There were few times that I found myself reading late into night, because I needed to see what would happen. I am eager to see what adventures and what obstacles they have to face next.

Magical. Breathtaking.

In a world of magical visions and pyrokinesis, Mara just wants to have a normal life. But is that possible?

Mara has become used to the extraordinary. Roaming from place to place with Gideon Davorin’s Traveling Carnival, she longs for an ordinary life where no one has the ability to levitate or predict the future.

She gets her chance when the struggling sideshow sets up camp in the small town of Caudry and she meets a gorgeous local guy named Gabe. But before long, Mara realizes there’s a dark presence lurking in the town that’s threatening the lives of her friends. She has seven days to take control of a power she didn’t know she had in order to save everyone she cares about—and change the future forever

Magical story about love, friendship and family.

As you can tell by amount of days it took me to read, I adored this story, I couldn’t get enough of it. I was sad to see it come to the end and curious at the same time. Author, AMANDA HOCKING is what attracted me to the book in beginning. I had read a book by her back in 2012, Wake . FREEKS is the second novel that I have read by her and after reading it, I am eager to pick up rest of her books. Hocking had me hooked to the story from first chapter to the last. There were a lot that was going in the story and farther you got into novel, more mystery, suspense seemed to appear. I kind of had a feeling that something wasn’t right, from the moment that Blossom went missing. You know that feeling? Even if you can’t explain it, you know that something is not right. Not long afterwards, the attacks started to happen. I was drawn to the mystery, I was curious to find out who or what was behind it.

I had always loved carnivals, and tend to go to them when I get the chance. Fact that this had to do with traveling carnival and they were not ordinary people, caught my attention. To me, I already had a good feeling about this book, and once again I was right. Of course I loved the relationship between Gabe and Mara, their instant connection. I did wonder what Gabe was hiding just how Mara was. When she was around Gabe, it felt like it help her escape from everything else and I could tell he made her happy, just way she acted around him. Him, his family being werewolves was not what I had expected, it took me by surprise just as it did for Mara. I was happy that at least Mara got her happily after, considering what she went through, she deserved it, both of them did. As I reached the end of book, I was smiling and at the same time I was curious what happened to them after they left Caudry.

FREEKS was one of those novels that I know I would never be able to forget. The story, the characters and all the emotions that I felt through the book, it’s not something that you can forget. I found myself thinking about book long after I finished it. AMANDA HOCKING now I know why so many are talking about her. You will fall in love with her characters and will have craving for more. I know that I am, and eager to see what adventures she has in store for us next.

Spectacular.

Seventeen-year-old Emily likes her life the way it is: doting parents, good friends, good school in a safe neighborhood. Sure, she's curious about her biological father—the one who chose life in a motorcycle club, the Reign of Terror, over being a parent—but that doesn't mean she wants to be a part of his world. But when a reluctant visit turns to an extended summer vacation among relatives she never knew she had, one thing becomes clear: nothing is what it seems. Not the club, not her secret-keeping father and not Oz, a guy with suck-me-in blue eyes who can help her understand them both.

Oz wants one thing: to join the Reign of Terror. They're the good guys. They protect people. They're…family. And while Emily—the gorgeous and sheltered daughter of the club's most respected member—is in town, he's gonna prove it to her. So when her father asks him to keep her safe from a rival club with a score to settle, Oz knows it's his shot at his dream. What he doesn't count on is that Emily just might turn that dream upside down.

No one wants them to be together. But sometimes the right person is the one you least expect, and the road you fear the most is the one that leads you home

When I found out that KATIE MCGARRY came out with new series, I was excited to read it. I been fan of Katie ever since I read Pushing The Limits series back in 2014, I couldn’t get enough of that series. KATIE MCGARRY did it again, NOWHERE BUT HERE yet another novel that I refused to put down. I stayed up few times because I wanted to see what would happen with Oz and Emily next. The relationship between the two of them was unlike the other ones that I have read about before. It wasn’t love at first sight and that’s what I enjoyed about, it made their story more real to me. There were a lot of emotions that were going through me while I was reading this novel and they were emotions that I felt after I finish the book. I thought about the story, the character for a while afterwards. I wondered what’s in store for Oz and Emily after, if their relationship would last.

I did not think that Oz would end up falling for Emily, mostly due to fact how he treated her at start. I know that he was attracted to her because how he reacted to her, but I assumed it might turn into fling and nothing more. As time flew, the more time he spent with her, I saw how he started to enjoy her company and it seemed to make Emily happy when she was around him. She trusted him and Oz seemed to be the one person that she could trust these days. Once she found how her family had lied to her, I can’t blame her for that. In time, I saw how protective Oz grew of Emily, making sure that nothing would happen to her. I noticed that he had fallen in love with her before he had. The scenes between the two of them, you could see the tension, the attraction between the two of them. I was rooting for them to get together.

I was eager to see how their story would end, at the same time I didn’t want for it to end. Astonishing story about first love, family and second chances. I have a feeling that Thunder Road will be another series that I am going to fall in love with. If you love KATIE MCGARRY’S Pushing The Limits , be ready for another thrilling ride.

What is Normal?

For Trevor normal was fast guitar licks, catching game-winning passes and partying all night. Until a car accident leaves Trevor with no band, no teammates and no chance of graduating. It's kinda hard to ace your finals when you've been in a coma. The last thing he needs is stuck-up Everly Jenkins as his new tutor—those beautiful blue eyes catching every last flaw.

For Everly normal was a perfect family around the dinner table, playing piano at Sunday service and sunning by the pool. Until she discovers her whole life is a lie. Now the perfect pastor's daughter is hiding a life-changing secret, one that is slowly tearing her family apart. And spending the summer with notorious flirt Trevor Lewis means her darkest secret could be exposed

Wow. What a roller coaster ride.

There is a lot of feelings that went through me, while I was reading SOME KIND OF NORMAL anger, sadness, confusion, curiosity and of course, hope. This book will have your emotions go back and forth from first page to the last, like a roller coaster. I never read a book by JULIANNA STONE and now I wished I had. Once I finished SOME KIND OF NORMAL I was craving for her other books already. One book is all that it took me to get hooked. I loved the story, the characters and the mystery behind what Everly was hiding and the unexpected twists, the ones that even I didn’t even see coming. Both the cover and the title was what hooked me first when I came across the novel at the library. I am glad that I got curious enough to pick it up. It was breathtaking.

I loved both of characters, though I wasn’t sure about Trevor at first. He seemed angry most of the time, not like I could blame him. However I don’t think that it was fair that he tried to take out of others because he was angry and hurt what happened to him. The way he took out on Everly towards end of the book, especially when she needed him. I didn’t blame her for being hesitant afterwards. It was not hard to see that the two of them cared for one another, even if Everly tried to deny it. Even her friend Haley saw right through her. Everly brought the best in Trevor, at least that was the feeling that I got when he was around her. Trevor helped her escape from her troubled home life, at least for little while. Their realthionship had their ups and down and it also felt real. The entire story is what I can actually see happening in real life.

SOME KIND OF NORMAL isn’t just a love story. It’s a story about family, secrets, friendship, second chances and hope. Beautifully written from start to finish.

In this collection of personal essays, the beloved star of Gilmore Girls and Parenthood reveals stories about life, love, and working as a woman in Hollywood—along with behind-the-scenes dispatches from the set of the new Gilmore Girls, where she plays the fast-talking Lorelai Gilmore once again.

In Talking as Fast as I Can, Lauren Graham hits pause for a moment and looks back on her life, sharing laugh-out-loud stories about growing up, starting out as an actress, and, years later, sitting in her trailer on the Parenthood set and asking herself, “Did you, um, make it?” She opens up about the challenges of being single in Hollywood (“Strangers were worried about me; that’s how long I was single!”), the time she was asked to audition her butt for a role, and her experience being a judge on Project Runway (“It’s like I had a fashion-induced blackout”).

In “What It Was Like, Part One,” Graham sits down for an epic Gilmore Girls marathon and reflects on being cast as the fast-talking Lorelai Gilmore. The essay “What It Was Like, Part Two” reveals how it felt to pick up the role again nine years later, and what doing so has meant to her.

LAUREN GRAHAM has been one of my favorite actresses since I have seen her in Gilmore Girls years earlier. I feel in love with her first novel, SOMEDAY, SOMEDAY, MAYBE which I read couple years earlier. When I found out that she’s writing a memoir, I was excited. I had put it on hold in library even before it was out. I was curious about her, about how she got where she is now. I don’t think that there has been single of her movies, shows that I didn’t enjoy. I did love her character, Lorelai in Gilmore Girls the most, a character that is hard not to love and I feel like Lauren fit that character perfectly. TALKING AS FAST AS I CAN was impossible to put down, I was fascinated by Lauren’s life. I also love the humor that was put into to book, made it more entertainment to read. There were few times that I wished that I had more time to read it.

I loved reading about her life and the different roles that she had, and everything that she had to do in between. I loved that little phone conversation that she had with her dad, it was fascinating to read about. Fact how she lived on houseboat for a while, I don’t think that I would be able to do that if I were in her situation. I loved how she talked about her thoughts about each season of Gilmore Girls as they filmed it, and then Gilmore Girls: A Year In Life. I am there with her in Gilmore Girls: A Year In Life, it felt like it was left with cliffhanger and I am hoping that there will be more afterwards. I enjoyed the title of her memoir, TALKING AS FAST AS I CAN even if you weren’t aware of who she was, the title in general would capture your attention. A title that will have your attention, along with the cover.

Now that I read her memoir, i know that she’s one person that I would love to meet in the future. She sounds like she would be a blast to have around. I am hoping that she writes more books in future because not only is she talented actress but a fabulous writer. I can’t wait to see what adventures she has in store for us next.

Beautifully written.
