Ashton Hamid knows everything about gaming. His D&D battles are epic; the video game tournaments he organizes, multi-day tests of endurance with players around the world. Real life, however, is a different matter. So when he and his best friend—outspoken "A" student (and social outcast) Vale Shumway—head out on a camping trip to Waterton Lakes National Park with their Phys. Ed. class, Ash figures it’ll be two days of bug bites, bad food, and inside jokes.

Instead, the two friends find themselves in a fight for survival.

An unexpected October snowstorm separates Ash and Vale from the rest of their class. By the time the teens realize they’ve missed the trail, they have wandered deep into the Canadian Rockies. Lost in the wilderness and hunted by deadly predators, their only hope is to work together. But with Vale’s limited supplies and Ash’s inexperience, can the best friends stay alive long enough to find their way back to civilization?

Tragic. Suspenseful. Extraordinary.

There has always been something about survival stories that drew me in. When I came across SWITCHBACK I had a good feeling about the book, and it seemed the type of the story that I would enjoy. I was right. There wasn’t a single page where I was not hooked into the story. I know that if I did not have classes, homework or work, I would finished it sooner than I did. SWITCHBACK was the book that I could not wait to pick back up, to find out what was going to happen next. I was rooting for Vale and Ash from the moment that the two of them got separated from the group. I was rooting for them to make out of there alive. I cannot even begin imagine to have to go through what the two of them had to go through. I don’t think I made it as the long as the two of them did, especially with the way that Ash was injured. Now that is takes courage, to go through all of that and especially through the harsh weather conditions that they were having.

The friendship between Vale and Ash, now that is true friendship. How the two of them took care of each other. How they kept on going, even if it was hard or they did not want to. They did not give up; they did not let each other give up. I have a feeling that their friendship is for years to come. The descriptions of everything in SWITCHBACK were astonishing, which made the book much more real to me. Reading the book, I felt as I was there along with Vale and Ash, going through everything that the two of them were facing. It was very vivid. DANIKA STONE always finds a way to pull you into the story, the one that you will not be able to pull yourself away from, until the end. I could relate to Vale, like her, I loved nature and I was also bullied for a while when I was younger, and I felt as she was the type of character that I could see myself in. I am glad that at least she had Ash by her side.

I feel as if SWITCHBACK is a book that everyone should read. Especially if you enjoy adventure/ survival stories. I have read few survival books through the years, but nothing like that. It is a type of book that you can actually imagine happening in real life. Plus the way everything is described and all the emotions in the story. It is real. At least to me it was. The more I read by DANIKA STONE the more I fall in love with her writing. I cannot wait to see what adventure she has in store for us next.

Part romance, part love letter to nerd culture, and all totally adorbs, Geekerella is a fairy tale for anyone who believes in the magic of fandom. Geek girl Elle Wittimer lives and breathes Starfield, the classic sci-fi series she grew up watching with her late father. So when she sees a cosplay contest for a new Starfield movie, she has to enter. The prize? An invitation to the ExcelsiCon Cosplay Ball, and a meet-and-greet with the actor slated to play Federation Prince Carmindor in the reboot. With savings from her gig at the Magic Pumpkin food truck (and her dad’s old costume), Elle’s determined to win…unless her stepsisters get there first.

Teen actor Darien Freeman used to live for cons—before he was famous. Now they’re nothing but autographs and awkward meet-and-greets. Playing Carmindor is all he’s ever wanted, but the Starfield fandom has written him off as just another dumb heartthrob. As ExcelsiCon draws near, Darien feels more and more like a fake—until he meets a girl who shows him otherwise.

I love fairytale retellings. I have read few through the years. When I came across GEEKERELLA I had a feeling that I was going to enjoy the story. I never read ASHLEY POSTON books before but I did hear about this series, through Goodreads. I did not have high expectations when I came across the book, and of course it ended with me falling in love with the story. I have read few Cinderella retellings through the years, and so far GEEKERELLA was the unique one, the twist on it. Actually, the twist is one of the things that will keep you on reading. It was impossible to put this book down, every page, every chapter had you craving for more, have you wondering what is going come next for Elle and for Darien. I ended up reading late few nights.

Elle and Darien. I loved that story was told from both of point of views, it is a great way to get to know both characters better. It gives a reader a chance to know what they were feeling. I loved both of them. Besides Sage, they were my two favorite characters. I loved the text messages that the two of them exchanged, and it did not take me long to see how long they cared for each other. I did wonder if Darien planned on telling who he was, I understand why he didn’t. I also wondered if Elle would still feel the same once she found who he was, considering how she felt about Darien. I was rooting for the two of them. So of course I loved the ending, I was smiling when I read it. Their story did feel like a story from Cinderella, just with cell phones , cons and science fiction in the mix.

GEEKERELLA is a book that you won’t forget. Once you reach the end, you will be thinking about the story and wondering what is going happen next. I was and even recommended the book to couple of my friends. I liked the friendship that Sage and Elle developed. Sage is a type of friend that Elle needed. Of course I disliked Elle’s stepmother and stepsisters, expect for Cal. I had mixed feelings about her, she went along with Chloe ideas most of time, but then she seemed feel bad how badly Elle was treated. I did not know what to think about her at times. Do you enjoy fairytale retelling? Then you should check out GEEKERELLA .

Magpie Lewis started writing in her yellow notebook the day her family self-destructed. That was the night Eryn, Magpie's sister, skipped town and left her to fend for herself. That was the night of Brandon Phipp's party.

Now, Magpie is called a slut whenever she walks down the hallways of her high school, her former best friend won't speak to her, and she spends her lunch period with a group of misfits who've all been socially exiled like she has. And so, feeling trapped and forgotten, Magpie retreats to her notebook, dreaming up a place called Near.

Near is perfect--somewhere where her father never cheated, her mother never drank, and Magpie's own life never derailed so suddenly. She imagines Near so completely, so fully, that she writes it into existence, right in her own backyard. It's a place where she can have anything she wants...even revenge.

Wow, I am not even sure if there are words to describe this book. It was unlike any book that I read before, which was one of my favorites about this book. I could not get enough of the story, unable to put the book down even if I knew that I should because it was getting late. YOU MUST NOT MISS is the third book that I read by KATRINA LENO whose writing style I am already in love with. I love that YOU MUST NOT MISS went back and forth between the real world and the magical world, near. After some time, I felt as if Near became real to me, the way that it was described, I could picture it. It gave me feeling being there along with Magpie. This story is unlike any other young adult book that I read, at least not this year. YOU MUST MISS is a story that you will always remember, but then with everything that happens there, how can you?

There are some disturbing scenes there; even I did not see it coming. Those were the only scenes that were hard for me to read, but then they were pretty graphic in a way. I did not agree with what Magpie did, even if I did understand why she felt that she had to do it. I did like the idea of Near, a place where Magpie could escape, and after what happened with her, I could not blame her for wanting to escape. The descriptions, the emotions in this book were breathtaking. As a reader, I felt as I could feel all the feelings that she was feeling, fear, sadness, anger. All of them were so vivid. You cannot help but wonder what is going happen next and that is what keeping you turning the pages, until the very last page.

I loved that this book was different, it made it unique. I know that if I did not have a hectic schedule I could read it in one day. I did not want to stop and there were few times that I couldn’t. I loved the title, how can you not help but with the title like YOU MUST NOT MISS . I know that the title itself will make you pick up the book, that what drew me to the book, besides the author. If you love contemporary with a mix of fantasy then you should check this book out now. I cannot wait to see what KATRINA LENO has in store for us next. An author that is worth checking out. Her books will take your breath away.

Breathtaking, extraordinary love story.

It seems that anytime that I read a book by SHANE MORGAN; I fall in love with the story, the characters. How can you not? She makes it impossible not to. MAYBE was not any different, and you will find yourself falling in love after only couple of pages. I did. Every page had me craving for more of the story, and had me wondering what is going to happen next. MAYBE is one of those books that you will keep reading up until the end, and when you do, you will be craving for more of the story. The only reason that it took me long time to read it because of classes, homework, papers and work. I looked forward to it every night, wanting to see what would happen with Sydney and Parked next. I loved all of SHANE MORGAN books that I have read, which is most of them. However, I feel as if MAYBE is one of my favorites, at least for right now. MAYBE was recently published and I am already looking forward to the next one.

Sydney and Parker’s relationship was different and that was what I enjoyed about it. At first, I was not sure if I liked Parker, I could not figure out what I thought of him. I felt as he was being too pushy with Sydney, but at the same time, I liked how he would not give up. As book progressed, I saw that he was not doing just because she rejected, and it seemed as he genuinely cared about her and it is why he would not let go. I could not help but hope that eventually Sydney would see that as well. I knew how much she cared about him as well, even if she tried to deny it at first. As their relationship progressed through the book, I loved the fact that the two of them were always there for each other, no matter what. I saw how much the two of them progressed through the story. I loved the descriptions, the emotions in the book. I felt, as I was right there, along with Parker and Sydney. I could imagine myself being there. It felt real.

The story, the characters was not only what I loved about this story. Look at that breathtaking cover, how can you not want to pick this book up? I have been reading SHANE MORGAN books for years, and I am so glad I came across her books. SHANE MORGAN is a type of writer that I want to be one day. I would highly recommend picking up MAYBE . It is a story that you will fall in love with, and the one that will stay with you long after.

It was delightful.
