In a land without magic, where the king rules with an iron hand, an assassin is summoned to the castle. She comes not to kill the king, but to win her freedom. If she defeats twenty-three killers, thieves, and warriors in a competition, she is released from prison to serve as the king's champion. Her name is Celaena Sardothien.

The Crown Prince will provoke her. The Captain of the Guard will protect her. But something evil dwells in the castle of glass—and it's there to kill. When her competitors start dying one by one, Celaena's fight for freedom becomes a fight for survival, and a desperate quest to root out the evil before it destroys her world.

Action. Adventure. Suspense.

THRONE OF GLASS is the type of books that you hear about, and yet don’t get around to reading it, until few books later. That was me. I heard about it for a while, and once I read it, I wished that I read it sooner. This is 2nd time reading the book, I have read it in 2017 the first time, and wanted to re-read it so could read other books in the series. I loved it, as much as I did the first time that I read it, if not more. There were a lot of going on and quite bit of suspense, and that is the type of books that I adore. Stories that will have you keep guessing, and one of the reasons that you will keep on turning the pages. Like Celaena, I wondered who keep on killing the champions and in such brutal way and keeping you wondering why, if there were reasons behind those murders. Despite reading this book for the second time, I couldn’t put the book down because I was hooked to the story once again. THRONE OF GLASS is a book that will have you thinking, wondering. You will be eager to get the next book in series, from the moment that you reach the ending of the book.

Celaena, first of all I love that name and it fits her perfectly. I loved this character from the start, the attitude, and how she was determined to be champion. I am aware that she was doing it for her freedom, but even other champions ended up dead, she didn’t give up, she kept on going. I was rooting her from the start, to win. Even if I knew that whatever the King had planned for her if she won, it couldn’t be anything good. . Even at the end, she kept on trying, she still didn’t give up despite what was happening with her. I was hoping that someone would notice and come to her rescue. I cannot even begin to imagine, to attempt to fight in her condition. I was starting to think that she wouldn’t make it, that it would be the end. I was terrified for her. I can’t imagine how Prince Dorian felt, having to watch her and knowing that there wasn’t anything he could do to help her. I was still hoping that she find some way out of the situation. The descriptions were some vivid, that I could feel all the pain, the emotions that she was feeling.

Chaol and Prince Dorian, I am not sure who I liked more. I don’t think I would be able to choose between the two of them if I had to. I do know that both Chaol and Prince Dorian cared deeply for Calaena. I have a strong feeling that she cared about both of them too, even if she didn’t want to at first. I cannot help but wonder who she would end up with, if Chaol would finally admit his feelings for her, or if she would figure out. If I had pick who I would pick for her, I don’t think I could because I think they are both a good fit for her, at least right now. I am curious what is going develop between them in the next book. Another favorite of mine in this book was Princess Nehemia and her friendship with Calaena, she needed a friend like her. I feel as if she never had such great friend, like Princess Nehemia. I believe that what two of them have is a true friendship, and I hope that it stays that way.

THRONE OF GLASS was magical, extraordinary. I couldn’t get enough. I cannot wait to see what happens next with everyone, especially Calaena, Prince Dorian, Chaol and Princess Nehemia. If you love fantasy, this is a book that you should pick up. I recommended to everyone.

A magic passed down through generations . . .

Georgina Fernweh waits with growing impatience for the tingle of magic in her fingers—magic that has been passed down through every woman in her family. Her twin sister, Mary, already shows an ability to defy gravity. But with their eighteenth birthday looming at the end of this summer, Georgina fears her gift will never come.

An island where strange things happen . . .

No one on the island of By-the-Sea would ever call the Fernwehs what they really are, but if you need the odd bit of help—say, a sleeping aid concocted by moonlight—they are the ones to ask.

No one questions the weather, as moody and erratic as a summer storm.

No one questions the (allegedly) three-hundred-year-old bird who comes to roost on the island every year.

A summer that will become legend . . .

When tragedy strikes, what made the Fernweh women special suddenly casts them in suspicion. Over the course of her last summer on the island—a summer of storms, of love, of salt—Georgina will learn the truth about magic, in all its many forms.

Emotional, Astonishing, Magical.

When I picked up SUMMER OF SALT , I wasn’t sure what to expect. I only read one book by KATRINA LENO and that was years ago. What caught my attention was the cover, the title and the summary of the book, which sounded something that I would enjoy. After only reading couple pages, I knew that I was going to love this story. I did. I fell in love with this story, and I am not sure if I can even explain in words how much I loved it. SUMMER OF SALT is a type of story that you cannot help but fall in love with, and the book that will have you going through the emotions from start to end. I finished it last night and I am still thinking about the story. I love magical realism books, and I have read few through the years. I think that SUMMER OF SALT was one of the best magical realism books that I have read. I loved the fact that magic was mentioned in the book right from the start. From beginning, I couldn’t help but wonder what Georgina’s gift would be, and there was a part of me that wondered if it would come. I never imagined what her gift would be, but then how could I? It is a unique gift. Then that is not the only twist in the book, and that was what will keep you on reading.

Like Georgina, I had a feeling that something was off about Mary, after Annabella’s death. At first, I assume that she was just shocked about the way she was killed. As time passed, she started acting weirder, and didn’t seem like she was herself. I started to wonder if maybe she knew something about her death. I knew that she was hiding something. I also was aware that what she was hiding, couldn’t be anything good. I enjoyed that the story had a bit of mystery to it, and I wonder what Georgina would end up discovering about her sister. I never even guessed of what could happened to her that night. I cannot imagine how terrified she must be. I understand why she didn’t tell her sister, she was scared. I would be to. Once the truth was uncovered, I was in shock, considering who had hurt her. I should have seen it, how he always followed her, gave her gifts. That’s not an excuse to do what he done to her. As I said, SUMMER OF SALT ending was filled with twists that messed with your emotions, and made you wish that It wasn’t the ending. I wanted to hug Mary, to hold her. I wanted to cry along with her, my heart broke for her.

SUMMER OF SALT was a beautifully written book. Every single page. To me, it almost felt like a poetry, the one that you couldn’t pull yourself from. I feel as if this is a book that everyone should check out. It will have you wishing that you picked this book up sooner. A book that deserves a lot more than five stars. After reading it, I cannot wait to check rest of KATRINA LENO books. A story that will hook you from the start until the end.

Rose Scarlet is your everyday girl just finishing college with her best friends Will & Aimee. But when she suddenly moves all the way across the country to a small town called Beacon Hill, normal was a thing of the past, for the city felt eerily familiar to her. How could she end up at the local park without directions when this was the first time she had step foot into town? How will she explain her irrational fears or feelings so strong for someone who is practically a stranger or is he? What was the story behind the burnt house? She felt like her heart wanted to cry every time she was near it.

And who was Alexander Sinclair? She could see that he was disturbingly beautiful, but how did she know things he had revealed to no one? Why had she seen his face in her dreams before ever laying eyes on him? A thousand more questions haunted her as she found the answers to none.

Not until charming and handsome Nathan Sinclair walks into her life, whom she hated on sight.

(Thank you, to the author for sending a ebook copy, in exchange for honest review)

I had high hoped when I read the synopsis of the book, which sounded the type of stories that I love. When an author contacted me and asked me if I was interested in reading and reviewing her book, I said yes and was excited to. I wanted to like this book, and I tried to. There were parts in the book that were interesting, and that had me wondering what would happen next. LOVE REVISTED has a potential, and the storyline in general was interesting, but unfortunately the book was hard for me to read. Right away, I noticed grammar issues, and formatting issues, and after a while it got hard to read the book, but the plot was interesting enough that I kept on going. Grammar wasn’t the only issue though, I also had issues the way that character was acting in the book, to me, it didn’t feel realistic. I couldn’t relate to any of the character even if I tried to. Rose was supposed be a college graduate, and yet half of the time she acted like she was a teenager. Plus the way all the characters were interacting with each other, it felt as they didn’t communicate well.

LOVE REVISTED has a potential, and the storyline in general is good. The therapy that Rose had, it didn’t feel professional to me, and I been to therapy before in past and that not how the first session would go. I felt as if Alex and Rose relationship progressed too fast. I could tell that the two did care about one another, I just wish that Rose did not push him about their past lives that much. I had high hopes for this book, but it turned out completely different from what I imagined this story to be. I did like the storyline in general. I know this is mostly negative, but it was hard for me to get into this story, and it did not hold my attention like I hoped that it would. It’s why I only gave it two stars.

It’s time for Raven Danvers to face the Angel Trials.

After months of training, Raven’s finally ready to compete in the Angel Trials. If she succeeds, she’ll earn the right to drink angel blood from the Holy Grail, which will give her Nephilim blood.

No human has yet to drink angel blood from the Grail and survive. But Raven’s gift of stubbornness makes her special. She survived countless times during the cross country demon hunt with her shifter soul mate Noah, even though she should have died.

She doesn’t plan to stop surviving now.

Because the greater demon Azazel is holding Raven’s mom and best friend Sage hostage. To free them, she has to kill Azazel. She can only do that if she’s a Nephilim.

So that’s exactly what Raven plans on becoming.

This series, this book took my breath away. I couldn’t get enough of Raven and Noah’s story, and when it came to end, I felt sad. It was as if I was saying goodbye to longtime friends. I have been read MICHELLE MADOW books since I came across her in 2012. Since then I have read and own most of her books, I even got some friends into her books. I loved all her books so far, however THE ANGEL TRIALS has been my favorite, at least so far. I fell in love with the series from the first book, and more I read, the more I got pulled into the story. THE ANGEL TEST fit the final book perfectly and it was another book that I had to force myself to put down, and it made me wish I didn’t have finals or I would read it more then I had. Through this series, I felt as most of my characters became my friends, especially Raven, Noah. The Angel Trials is a series that is impossible to fall in love with. Once you reach the ending, you will find yourself thinking about it, and wonder what is going to happen next. I couldn’t seem to get it out of my mind.

Raven and Noah were my favorite through the series. Those two been through so much, and it seemed that something always seemed get in their way of being together. I was rooting for the two of them from the start. It was clear how much the two of them loved each other. That ending, it fit the two of them perfectly, and I was smiling because I was so happy for the two of them. I know it is end of this series, but I couldn’t help but wonder what is in the store for the two of them next. Considering that Raven wasn’t the only one that had changed. So far, the two of them were my favorite couple, and I can’t help but wonder what will happen with them next. I loved that there were Annika point of view here as well, who was my favorite character from THE VAMPIRE WISH . I was happy for her and Jacen, they are an amazing example of true love. That ending, I couldn’t help but smile at that ending, but then how could I not. Despite being an ending of the series, I felt that there was another twist there. That is one of things that I love about MICHELLE MADOW novels, she always has you craving for more. I know already that this will be a series that I will end up re-reading in the future.

Fantasy. Adventure. Romance. Twists. How can you not want to read this book. Plus have you seen the covers? They are astonishing. I am hooked and cannot wait to see what is in store in next series THE FAERIE GAMES , and I am already wishing that it was end of August. If you love a young adult fantasy with twist, you should check this series out today.

 CONTAINS SPOILERS

As bubbly as champagne and delectable as wedding cake, Once and for All, Sarah Dessen's thirteenth novel, is set in the world of wedding planning, where crises are routine.

Louna, daughter of famed wedding planner Natalie Barrett, has seen every sort of wedding: on the beach, at historic mansions, in fancy hotels and clubs. Perhaps that's why she's cynical about happily-ever-after endings, especially since her own first love ended tragically. When Louna meets charming, happy-go-lucky serial dater Ambrose, she holds him at arm's length. But Ambrose isn't about to be discouraged, now that he's met the one girl he really wants.

What is there to say? Another beautifully written story. A book that will have you going through the emotions, and you will find yourself falling in love.

I have been a big SARAH DESSEN fan for years, and there wasn’t a single book that I didn’t enjoy. Like her other books, I fell in love with the characters, the plot of the story. Every page, every chapter had me craving for more. This is the second time that I read ONCE AND FOR ALL , and I have feeling as if I fell in love more, than when I read it the first time around couple years ago. That is one of the things that I love about her books, you can re-read them multiple times, and each time you read them, you will fall in love with story. Even though this is second time that I read this book, I couldn’t pull myself from the story. As I read the story, the story became real to me and I felt all the emotions that Louna felt, especially about Ethan. It was as if I was there besides her. ONCE AND FOR ALL is an emotional book, and you will cry. I did. Especially after finding out what happened with Ethan. I cannot imagine going through something that horrific, losing someone that you love that way. It is during that times that I wished that I could go over there, and give her a big hug. I did wonder if she would tell Ambrose the truth about what happened to Ethan. I hoped that she would because he deserved to know the truth.

Ambrose, first of all, don’t you just love that name? I think it’s an unique name and it fits the character well. I had a strong feeling that Ambrose liked Louna when he met her, but I was not positive. As the book progressed, I knew that he did, the way he acted around her, and seemed to want to be around her. I knew that there was a reason that he made the bet, and I knew that he was hoping that he would win. I couldn’t help but wonder who would win. I wanted Louna to come to realization of how she feel about Ambrose. I knew that she liked him, but she seemed to be in denial. Maybe it was because of Ethan, or maybe she was afraid of commitment, but I hoped that she would figure out soon. That’s why I loved the ending, and I actually was smiling at that scene, but then how could I not? I did not want to reach the end, because ending meant that I had to say goodbye to everyone. I have feeling that ONCE AND FOR ALL will be book that I will end up re-reading again in the future. I love the fact that it was about wedding planning; I always enjoyed books that had weddings in them. I loved reading about the process of how weddings are planned. It made it so real, because I could imagine it all.

Jilly, Will- My other favorite characters. How could you not love them? I loved how Will was with Louna and Natalie, and how he seemed to take care of them. I loved his personality in general, he’s a character that you will fall in love with. Jilly, she reminds me of my best friend, and the type of person that everyone wants to be friends with. She took care of Louna, always. I am glad that Louna had her as a best friend. In general ONCE AND FOR ALL is a book that you cannot help with fall in love with, from the first page. A book that deserves more than five stars. Breathtaking, touching YA Contemporary that I highly recommend to everyone.

Theodosia was six when her country was invaded and her mother, the Fire Queen, was murdered before her eyes. On that day, the Kaiser took Theodosia's family, her land, and her name. Theo was crowned Ash Princess--a title of shame to bear in her new life as a prisoner.

For ten years Theo has been a captive in her own palace. She's endured the relentless abuse and ridicule of the Kaiser and his court. She is powerless, surviving in her new world only by burying the girl she was deep inside.

Then, one night, the Kaiser forces her to do the unthinkable. With blood on her hands and all hope of reclaiming her throne lost, she realizes that surviving is no longer enough. But she does have a weapon: her mind is sharper than any sword. And power isn't always won on the battlefield.

For ten years, the Ash Princess has seen her land pillaged and her people enslaved. That all ends here.

I saw mixed reviews about this book, but it was just the type of story that I enjoy. I gave it a chance. ASH PRINCESS is the book you end up falling in love with. It did start out a bit slow for me, and once it picked up, that is when I found myself in trouble. ASH PRINCESS is just the type of stories that I love, and I found myself reading it late into the night. I was fascinated by Theo’s story, and I found myself hoping that she would be able to escape it. I cannot begin to imagine, to have to go through what Theo did, all that cruelty and abuse. However, to me Theo was brave, to have seen her mother get murdered and then have to deal with Kaiser for so many years. To me, that’s courage. I was scared for her, when he asked her to kill. I can’t imagine what must been going through her, and how she knew that she didn’t have any other choice. My heart broke for her. From the entire book, I didn’t have any character as much as I hated Kaiser. How could you not hate him? Especially how he always seemed to punish Theodosia anytime that something went wrong, or that he did not like, even if it couldn’t possibly be her fault. To Kaiser that didn’t matter.

It’s easy to tell, that Theodosia was conflicted between her childhood friend, Blaise and Prinz Soren from the start. I do believe that she didn’t expect to fall for the Prinz, she was supposed have him fall in love with her, but not to develop feelings for him. I am not surprised that she did, he is nothing like his father, and he always tried to look out for her. Prinz Soren is the type of guy that every girl dreams about. Of course Blaise always seemed to look out for her as well. In a way I am conflicted myself, because I like both Prinz and Blaise. I am curious now though; I cannot help but wonder who she will end up with. I can’t wait to read next book in the series, LADY SMOKE and find out. With an ending like that, you can’t help but wonder what will happen. What will happen with Theodosia, Cress, Prinz, and Blaise. I was blown away by the story; I couldn’t get enough of it. It’s hard to believe that ASH PRINCESS was her debut novel, it was…delightful. How did I not read it sooner?

I am sure that ASH PRINCESS will become a series that I will recommend to my friend, that I will re-read in the future. It was beautifully written, and so vivid, and I felt as I was actually there, along with Theo. Despite being a fantasy book, to me, it felt so real. Every time I had put the book down, I thought about it, and wondered what would happen next. Once I reached the end, I couldn’t wait to pick up the next book in the series. ASH PRINCESS was the first book that I read by LAURA SEBASTIAN and now that I have, I cannot to check out rest of her books, rest of the series. Most of all I am curious what will happen between Theo and Cress, considering how it ended between the two of them, and I have feeling that it will be war between two of them. I cannot imagine turning from friends to enemies, but I can’t say I blame Cress for being angry, considering what Theo had done. I have a feeling that Cress might become dangerous, if she hasn’t already. The story, the characters wasn’t only what I liked about this book. Look at the cover, isn’t it stunning? That was actually one of first things that caught my attention and had me curious about the book. Even if you don’t know what book is about, the cover and the title will have you curious enough to check out.

Highly recommend this book.

Some powers come with a price…

I need Evermore Academy more than ever. Alataris will stop at nothing to take me down, even use the ones I love against me. Now I have to trust the one person I know I can’t…

Delightful. Suspenseful. Magical.

I had started reading The Royals: Witch Court back in mid-March, and now that I read WICKED HEX I am even more in love with the series than when I first started reading it. I had feeling that this series would be my type of the book, but I didn’t realize how much I would love this series. I cannot wait to pick up the next book in the series and see what happens, and how can I not after an ending like that? That ending, I was in shock, even I did not see that coming. Now that is a cliffhanger that will have you waiting for more. How can you not help but wonder what happens next? I know that I do. I feel as if WICKED HEX had the most going on from the books that I have read so far. I loved the first two books in the series, but so far WICKED HEX has been my favorite. One of the reasons that I read this one so fast was because I couldn’t force myself to put this one down. Anytime that I tried to, or was ready to, something unexpected happened and I ended up reading for few more hours. There was a lot of going in this one, and not a single page where there wasn’t something going on. WICKED HEX will keep you on edge of your seat from beginning to end, and afterwards will have you craving for more.

Zinnia, I think out of all characters, she is one of my favorites. I also feel like out of everyone in the series, she is the one who changed the most. You can tell how different she is from the first book. I cannot imagine have to go through what she had. You can’t deny how she feels for Tucker. I know that she loves him. Otherwise she wouldn’t do anything to save him. My heart broke for her, and for Tucker, and I cannot imagine watching the love of your love, so close to death. If it was me, I don’t think that I would be able to handle it. To have go through what Zinnia went through, in order to save him, that takes a lot of courage. But I knew that she would do whatever it takes, in order to save Tucker. That ending, I never imagined that she would go that far. The more you read this series, the more intense it seems to get. Usually by the time that you reach the end, you find yourself with question. You find yourself thinking of most of the characters as your friends, and the story becomes real for you. That ending, I still cannot get over it, my emotions are all over the place, and I find myself thinking about it, wondering what is going happen next, and I cannot even imagine how Tucker must be feeling. I got admit that out of the books I read so far, this is the most emotional one.

Do you enjoy young adult fantasy? You should check this series out. It will keep you on edge of your seat from start until end.

As the three women work together to discover how August died, Lizzy strives to hold the show together. Can she keep the Brookstone Extravaganza alive without losing the desire of her heart?

You know by now that I am big historical fiction fan, and after reading WHEN YOU ARE NEAR I am even a bigger fan that I was previously. WHEN YOU ARE NEAR was different from other historical fiction novels that I read this year, and in a good way. I loved it that it was different. I also loved the fact that Wild West Show is featured in the book, which is something that I had always been fascinated with, western books in general. I haven’t read a western book in about a years, and once I started WHEN YOU ARE NEAR ,I remembered why I loved it so much. Besides this book wasn’t just a western but it also had romance with some suspense mixed. I came across this series while looking for some more historical fiction books and came across this one, so I got it at the library and I am glad that I did. From the minute that I started reading it, I found myself turning the pages hours later. How could I not? It had everything that I love about books like these.

If I were asked to pick a favorite character, I don’t think that I would be able to. All of the characters were unique in their own way. Expect for Jefferson and Ella’s father, I had bad feeling about two of them from start. Once I found out what they done to August, I knew that there was no way that I could like them. I cannot imagine how Mary felt like, knowing what happened and not able to do anything about it. If it were me in that situation, I don’t think that I would be able to handle it. I hated how scared they made Ella feel, they are the reason that she ran away. From moment that she ran away, I feared that they would come back and force her to go back with them. I was so happy that she had so many amazing people that were willing to protect her from them. My heart broke for Ella, of how scared she was, and I am glad that she finally told Mary, she needed to know. I loved how they took her in, and protected her. They treated her as she was part of family.

You could tell from start that it was Wes that Lizzy loved, just by way she acted and how she felt when she was around him. When I started reading the book, I assumed that it was Jason that she would end up with at some point. I could tell that he liked her from start, the way he kept wanting be around her, spend time with her. As time passed, I realized that she didn’t feel anything for her, considering how hard she tried to avoid him. I saw how differently she acted around Wesley. I didn’t like how pushy Jason was, even when he realized that she was in love with Wesley. I do know, that this is not a fight that Jason will win, her heart belong to Wes. I loved the two of them. I rooted for two of them together, and I hoped Jason would get the hint and leave her alone. Once I finished the book, I couldn’t help but wonder what will happen to them after. WHEN YOU ARE NEAR is a first book that I read by TRACIE PETERSON and now I cannot wait to read Mary’s story in WHEREVER YOU GO .

A series that I highly recommended to any historical fiction, romance, western fans.
