“Love is giving the world away, and being loved is having the whole world to give.”

Natalie Cleary must risk her future and leap blindly into a vast unknown for the chance to build a new world with the boy she loves.

Natalie’s last summer in her small Kentucky hometown is off to a magical start... until she starts seeing the “wrong things.” They’re just momentary glimpses at first—her front door is red instead of its usual green, there’s a pre-school where the garden store should be. But then her whole town disappears for hours, fading away into rolling hills and grazing buffalo, and Nat knows something isn’t right.

That’s when she gets a visit from the kind but mysterious apparition she calls “Grandmother,” who tells her: “You have three months to save him.” The next night, under the stadium lights of the high school football field, she meets a beautiful boy named Beau, and it’s as if time just stops and nothing exists. Nothing, except Natalie and Beau.

THE LOVE THAT SPLIT THE WORLD was unlike any book that I have read before. THE LOVE THAT SPLIT THE WORLD was a book that had me thinking while you are reading the novel, because it’s type of the book that has you thinking. As I read the book, sometimes I came across parts of the novel that I wasn’t sure what was going on, and I found myself re-reading some parts because I didn’t know what was going on the first time around. A story that will have you pause and thinking about some parts. What I loved about it was fact that it was part contemporary and part fantasy and I always loved books about time traveling and I have read few time traveling books in the past, but there were nothing like THE LOVE THAT SPLIT THE WORLD , and I feel that what it was interesting about this novel, because it was unique, a complete different aspect on a time travel concept. Once I started reading it, I could not get enough, and there were so many questions that I had about Natalie, about Beau, That ending, that was so unexpected, even if I noticed there was something off about Beau but even I did not see that coming. Part of me had hard time accepting that it was the end, especially since I go so attached to both to Natalie and Beau.

Beau and Natalie, how can you not love the two of them? Though I did feel that relationship progressed a little bit too fast, it did not feel realistic. But as book progressed, I could not help but love the two of them, I saw the connection that two of them had. The way that they were with each other, and how they were always were there for one another no matter what situation was. I loved the scenes between the two of them, and even though sometimes it was just two of them, even when it wasn’t, it seemed like it was the two of them. Their relationship was so vivid that I could almost picture everything that was happening. It was so beautiful. What the two of them had, if it’s not love then I am not sure what was. So when I found truth about Beau, just like Natalie, I was in shock. I did feel bad for Matt though, it was clear that the break up was hard on him, harder than anyone imagined and that he was still in love with Natalie. I was between liking and disliking him through most of the book. Though I was still sad when he got into accident. I found myself hoping that he will make it through.

THE LOVE THAT SPLIT THE WORLD was filled with so much action, mystery and there wasn’t a moment where you didn’t wonder what’s going happen next, with Natalie, Beau, Matt, Rachel, Megan. A beautiful, magical debut novel about love, letting go, friendship, forgiveness and racing time , to save one that you love. EMILY HENRY is an author that will have you craving for more, even once you reach the end. Part of me wishes that she had another book out already, because I am eager to see what journey she has in store for us next. I fell in love, with story and the characters and by end it felt like I was saying goodbye to my friends. A MUST READ for 2016. A story that you won’t be able to get out of your mind from minute you start, till you reach the end. THE LOVE THAT SPLIT THE WORLD will leave you breathless.

Oh, I love it when contemporary romance novels have a hint of mystery! Great review!
