“Love can’t be measured or quantified like stars. It’s messy and unpredictable. Hell, sometimes it’s even wrong. And sometimes wrong is right. “

When zodiac-obsessed teen Wilamena Carlisle discovers a planetary alignment that won’t repeat for a decade, she’s forced to tackle her greatest astrological fear: The Fifth House—relationships and love.

But when Wil falls for a sensitive guitar player hailing from the wrong side of the astrology chart, she must decide whether a cosmically doomed love is worth rejecting her dead mother’s legacy and the very system she’s faithfully followed through a lifetime of unfailing belief.

Astonishing, dreamy debut novel. SUMMER OF SUPERNOVAS was a novel that I wished that I picked up earlier, because I couldn’t get enough of it, if it wasn’t for college, I think I wouldn’t put it down till I reached the end. I had a feeling that SUMMER OF SUPERNOVAS would be a book that I was going to love, from moment that I read the summary of the book, from that point on, I was hooked. It ended up being even better that I imagined it to be, from the second that I started reading it, from minute Wil appeared on the water tower. Not only did I love the story, but the cover is absolutely stunning, it’s one of the cutest covers that I had seen, for fact even if title doesn’t hook you, the cover will. SUMMER OF SUPERNOVAS is unlike any teen romance that you came across, it’s unique. Fact that Will follows her Zodiac to find love, which isn’t like any novels I read before. As you progress in the novel, you will find yourself wondering what path Wil would take. I was absorbed until the end.

SUMMER OF SUPERNOVAS was one of the cases where I couldn’t figure which guy I liked better with Wil, because I loved them both. It was hard for me to decide. In a way I felt bad for both Seth and Grant, and way that Wil treated both of them. Even though I know that Seth tricked her, so he would have chance with her, but I could tell that he cared for her, more then he cared for any girl. Seth treated her way that any girl would be lucky to be treated, most of time he treated her like a princess, expect when he got jealous. I felt sad for him, that in end if was him who got his heart broken. I do wonder if the things between brothers would ever get back to way they were, before. I know that Wil cared for Seth, but I had feeling that it wasn’t who she wanted to be with, it was Grant, even if she denied it. I felt it wasn’t fair to either of guys, especially Seth, how she kept leading him on even if it was his brother that she was thinking about. I loved the scenes between Wil and Grant, anyone could tell that it was two of them belonged together, even Grant. It seemed like only Wil was in denial. I wished that she realized it sooner than she did.

Emotions in this book were so vivid, and I felt as I was feeling all the feelings that Wil was feeling. I felt every single one of them. Sadness, confession, anger, denial, love. I felt as I was trying to make decisions along with Wil. Of course, I loved the name as well, it fit her so well and it’s unlike any name that I have heard of before. SUMMER OF SUPERNOVAS was real, the story, the characters and I fell in love with each of them, and I loved that they had a Russian character, considering that I am Russian. I love fact that there was some humor added to the story, it made the characters and the story that much lovable and fun to read about it. An unique, realistic story about first love, acceptance, friendship and letting go. I am still curious what’s going happen with everyone, especially Will and Grant. A MUST READ.
