A demigod who can kill with a touch. It's an ability that must be kept secret from everyone, even from those trusted most.

Finding out that her new school had her in a special homeroom for witches was strange enough, but now Nicole must face the realization that she has the rare power to kill with just a touch. It’s a secret she needs to keep not only from the Head Elders, but from the super-sexy witch Blake, who she’s had undeniable chemistry with even before he broke up with his long-term girlfriend, the vengeful witch Danielle.

Now Nicole and the four others gifted with powers over the elements, including Blake and Danielle, must stop a series of monsters that they previously believed to be dead from rising once again and destroying the mortal world. Three magical items are needed, including the blood of the slain hydra – ingredients that they must journey to the dangerous, mystical islands in Greece to retrieve.

The monsters they face on this journey will be more threatening than anything they’ve encountered yet. But with the fate of the world on their shoulders, it’s up to the Elementals to return home victorious. Will they find the ingredients they need? Can Nicole and her friends pull off this mission while the tension between her, Blake, and Danielle threatens to ruin everything? And how long will it be until Nicole is forced to use her ability to kill in front of everyone, revealing the true darkness of her powers?

I received a digital copy through publisher and Netgalley, in exchange for review.

Did you ever come across an author, which you couldn’t get enough of? Whose books you always look towards to? MICHELLE MADOW is that author for me. There wasn’t a single book of hers that I didn’t love. THE BLOOD OF THE HYNDRA wasn’t any different, I fell in love with it from first page and was unable to put it down till the end, and afterwards I was eager to find out what was going to happen next. I always loved novels that deal with witches and I had read multiple ones, but what I enjoyed about this book was that it was unique. THE BLOOD OF THE HYNDRA was unlike any other fantasy or witch novel that I had read before, it had a completely different, new spin on the subject. Plus it has mythology in the mix. Witches, Mythology how can you not enjoy a book like that? I couldn’t get enough of the book, and after that ending, I was eager to see what adventures, challenges they will face next.

Even though I loved the first book THE PROPHECY OF SHADOWS I felt like THE BLOOD OF THE HYNDRA had much more going on, more action. There were so much more that The Elementals had to deal in this book, and they faced more danger than they did in the first novel. Each of the tasks that they had to complete had a challenge of their own. Even getting milk was a challenge when I thought it would be the easiest of all of the tasks. Each one of them had an unexpected twist that even you, as a reader will not see coming. I knew that getting blood of hyndra would be hard but I didn’t realize how hard till all them starting to fight for their life. I know that all of them made it as far as they did because they stood by each other, despite the challenges they faced. Now that’s teamwork and friendship right there. By the end of the book, I felt like every single of Elementals were my friends.

I was wondering when Nicole would finally admit to her feelings, for Blake. I could see the tension, the attraction between two of them, all through the novel. The last person I expected for her to have conversation about her feelings, is Danielle. Out of all characters, she’s my least favorite but I think she starting grow on me, I saw change in her. Like when she came to Nicole’s defense when Ethan blamed her for his sister’s death, even I didn’t see that coming. It makes me wonder if the two of them will end up becoming friends. I kind of hope that they do. A type of book that will have you turning page with every character, and you will find yourself going on adventures along with Nicole and her friends.

MICHELLE MADOW did it again! An astonishing, beautiful novel.
