Filled with magic, thrilling adventure, and sweet romance, Elementals is the first in a new series that fans of mythology will love!

When Nicole Cassidy moves from sunny Georgia to gloomy New England, the last thing she expects is to learn that her homeroom is a cover for a secret coven of witches. Even more surprisingly ... she's apparently a witch herself. Despite doubts about her newfound abilities, Nicole is welcomed into this ancient circle of witches and is bedazzled by their powers--and, to her dismay, by Blake--the school's notorious bad-boy.

Girls who get close to Blake wind up hurt. His girlfriend Danielle will do anything to keep them away, even if she must resort to using dark magic. But the chemistry between Blake and Nicole is undeniable, and despite wanting to protect Nicole from Danielle's wrath, he finds it impossible to keep his distance.

When the Olympian Comet shoots through the sky for the first time in three thousand years, Nicole, Blake, Danielle, and two others in their homeroom are gifted with mysterious powers over the elements. But the comet has another effect--it opens the portal to the prison world that has contained the Titans for centuries. After an ancient monster escapes and attacks Nicole and Blake, it's up to them and the others to follow the clues from a cryptic prophecy so that they can save their town ... and possibly the world.

“This has to be a joke. After all, an owl hadn't dropped a letter down my fireplace to let me know I'd been accepted into a special school, and I certainly hadn't taken an enchanted train to get to Kinsley High.”

Greek Mythology. Witchcraft. Those are my two favorite genres, somehow I got a feeling that THE PROPHECY OF SHADOWS was going be an amazing book, even before I started it. Actually what hooked me in was the summary and I knew that I had to check it out. I have read novels about witches and Greek mythology but THE PROPHECY OF SHADOWS wasn’t anything like what I read before, it was a mix of both and it was unique. Witches and Gods, tell me how a book like that is not appealing to you? I couldn’t get enough of the characters, the story and I wanted to see what adventures Nicole and her friends will have to face next. After an ending like that, I am not sure if I can wait for the next book for that long. I felt like only after few chapters in, that all of those characters became real to me, like my friends. Despite this being a fantasy book, to me it was real.

The Elementals: I love the name that they came up with, it fits them well, especially since each one of them deals with one element. I loved Kate, Nicole and Blake the most though I did have sort hate/love relationship with Blake at first. Even though I tried not to like Danielle, after certain time I couldn’t. She grew on me and after all she is part of the team. I could see how all of them changed from the start of the book, to the end. Despite what happened, how hard it was and any issues that they might had with one another, they made it through because they worked as the team. How can you not love someone like that? I have a group of friends that in a way reminds me of them. Of course now I am eager to see what happens with each of them next, what challenges will they come across next.

MICHELLE MADOW wrote another astonished series. Beautifully written novel, filled with magic, love, adventure, mystery. I couldn’t force myself put this book down and there were few times where I found myself reading late into night. I had to find what was going to happen with Nicole next. I don’t think I can describe how much I loved this novel. However if I was given choice to read it again, I would. I feel that’s what’s going to happen before the next book comes out; I will be re-reading this one once again. I am of course curious if anything is going to happen between Blake & Nicole. I could tell that there was something between two of them but I liked that Nicole didn’t let anything else happened, not till he ended with Danielle and not just because of that. I loved how strong Nicole was despite finding out about it, in such short notice.

Do you love books about witches? Mythology? Then check out THE PROPHECY OF SHADOWS an astonishing twist to both genres. A series that will have you craving for more.

Right before they started high school, Colette’s best friend, Sadie, dumped her. Three years later, Colette is still lonely. She tries to be perfect for everyone left in her life: her parents, her younger brothers, her church youth group, even her boyfriend, Mark. But Colette is restless. And she misses Sadie.

Then Sadie tells Colette that she needs her old friend to join her on a family vacation to the Greek Islands, one that leaves in only a few days, and Colette is shocked to hear their old magic word: need. And she finds herself agreeing.

Colette tries to relax and enjoy her Grecian surroundings but it’s not easy to go on vacation with the person who hurt you most in the world. When the reason for the trip finally surfaces, Colette finds out this is not just a fun vacation. Sadie has kept an enormous secret from Colette for years . . . forever. It’s a summer full of surprises, but that just might be what Colette needs.

I feel like MY BEST FRIEND, MAYBE is a type of book that few of people can relate to, or at least it’s a feeling that I got while reading the book. Everyone at some point where they either drifted from their best friend, or lost one. I have been through it, more than once. One of my favorite things about this book was that it takes place in Greece, which is one place that I had always wanted to visit and after reading about it, I want to go explore it even more. The scenery that was described, where Sadie, Colette visited and the rest of the Pepper family sound astonishing, I was actually jealous of the characters. I can still picture it in my mind, even after finishing the novel. I had always enjoyed novels that had to do with any sort of travel, but especially if it was to a different country. MY BEST FRIEND, MAYBE wasn’t any different, I had enjoyed every second of it.

Colie & Sadie: I wasn’t sure what to think of their relationship. It was more of hate/ love sort of relationship, confusing kind of like Colie was confused what was going on. I could tell that there was tension between two of them, from a moment that Sadie asked Colette if she would come to Greece with her, for a wedding. Just like Colette, I was curious why she asked her to come with her, after all these years of ignoring her, avoiding her. It was not what I had expected. Not once did it enter my mind that Sadie might be gay. I was as shocked as Colette been and Sadie when she realized that she didn’t know. At first I wondered if they would end up together but I realized that it was Sam that Collette wanted and Rose that Sadie wanted. Despite what happened, the two of them made it in the end, and that had me smiling. Despite how Sadie treated Colette, I was rooting for them keep their friendship. They need each other.

Mark & Sam : I couldn’t decide who I preferred more with Colette, both of them were good for her, in their own way. I could tell that Mark loved Collette and I feel like she did at some point too. However I felt like Colette could be more herself around Sam then when she was with Mark, it’s like she was always afraid of how he might feel. But I could tell that in beginning she couldn’t decide, she seemed to be in a conflict between two of them. I don’t know how she didn’t realize how Sam felt about her, it was even obvious to me. He always seemed to want spend time with her, he was always smiling at her. He was crazy about her and I am just glad that two of them worked things out in the end. It looks like everybody got their happy ending in the end of the book. MY BEST FRIEND, MAYBE will have you go through all the emotions. It had started out a bit slow but once it picks up, you won’t be available to put down and will end up reading it till you reach the end, that’s what I did.

Astonishing book about love, friendship, acceptance and forgiveness.

About the Author:

Michelle Madow has always loved writing stories, but the possibility of being an author used to feel more like a dream than a reality. She didn’t share her stories with anyone until her junior year of college, when she signed up for an Intro to Creative Writing course. Her teacher and classmates read the first chapter of a book idea she had, and they loved it so much that they told her she had to finish the book so they could find out what happened next. By the end of the school year, Michelle finished that book, which would later be published as her first novel, Remembrance.

Michelle grew up in Baltimore, and now lives in Boca Raton, Florida, where she writes books for young adults. Some of her favorite things are: reading, pizza, traveling, shopping, time travel, Broadway musicals, and spending time with friends and family. Michelle has toured across America to promote her books and to encourage high school students to embrace reading and writing. Someday, she hopes to travel the world for a year on a cruise ship.
