The second cool, sexy YA romance novel from seventeen-year-old Wattpad sensation and author of The Kissing Booth, Beth Reekles.

They say that the higher you climb, the harder you fall - and Madison Clarke will do anything to keep her new life from crumbling to pieces. Moving from a small town in Maine to Florida, Madison grasps the opportunity to reinvent herself, to forget about those days of being a lonely, loser outcast, and jumps at the chance when the popular kids decide to take her under their wing. A hot boyfriend, parties, friends... If only there wasn't the slight problem by the name of Dwight, a cute, funny and totally nerdy guy in Madison's physics class who she can't help but enjoy spending time with. Running from her past and stumbling through the present, who knows what lies ahead in this new life in Florida?

I read the first few chapters of ROLLING DICE On Wattpad before it got published and I remember that I had liked it a lot. Once I found that it was being published I got excited about it. I have read BETH REEKLES books before, however THE KISSING BOOTH didn’t impress me that much because I couldn’t seem to get into story way that I got into ROLLING DICE . From moment that I had picked up the novel I got hooked into the story, the characters especially Madison. Only after few chapters I was wondering what would happen with Madison, if she would be able to adjust or if her past will come back and haunt her. I loved how her parents called her Dice, I thought that was cute and the close relationship she seemed to have with her family, especially her sister. It’s not often that you see a bond like theirs, not when it comes to Young Adult novels. It reminded me a lot of relationship with my parents. I love young adult novels that it’s just about love but also has family and friendship aspect in it as well.

MADISON : It was hard not to love Madison; there was something about her that had me wanting to find out how it will all end for her. Once I found out about her past, the way that she was tormented in her old school because she was different, my heart went out for her. Bullying is never fun. Even though I wasn’t bullied for reasons that I was, I did get bullied so in a way I could relate to Madison, could see why she would want to keep in the past. I had hoped for to have her happy ending, her fresh start. I was glad that Dwight was there for her when she had her breakdown, it feels like only him and Summer noticed that something wasn’t right. Madison needed friends like those and I am glad that she had finally got her happy ending.

DWIGHT & BRYCE : I loved them both or at least in the beginning I did. It was hard for me to not like Bryce considering how nice we were to Madison when they met. Through most of the novel he treated her almost like a princess, which girl doesn’t dream of a guy like that? However Bryce might been nice with her, but it was Dwight who was there for her when she needed someone, no matter what fall out the two of them might had. My feelings for Bryce changed once he started pressuring her about Sex, and it had me question if he actually loved her or he said it in hopes of sleeping with her. I had a feeling that it was the second one. I didn’t like that about him. Despite me liking Bryce I had a feeling that he wasn’t one she belonged with, Bryce and her didn’t connect the way Dwight and her did. All through book I kept hoping they end up together.

A heartbreaking, breathtaking contemporary young adult. A book that is worth picking up and giving a chance to.
