Drama and danger abound in this fantasy realm where dukes play a game for the throne, magical warriors race to find the missing heir, and romance blossoms where it is least expected.

In a world where dukes plot their way to the throne, a Performer’s life can get tricky. And in Johanna Von Arlo’s case, it can be fatal. Expelled from her troupe after her father’s death, Johanna is forced to work for the handsome Lord Rafael DeSilva. Too bad they don’t get along. But while Johanna’s father’s death was deemed an accident, the Keepers aren’t so sure.

The Keepers, a race of people with magical abilities, are on a quest to find the princess—the same princess who is supposed to be dead and whose throne the dukes are fighting over. But they aren’t the only ones looking for her. And in the wake of their search, murdered girls keep turning up—girls who look exactly like the princess, and exactly like Johanna.

With dukes, Keepers, and a killer all after the princess, Johanna finds herself caught up in political machinations for the throne, threats on her life, and an unexpected romance that could change everything.

Beautifully told tale about love, family with quite bit of suspense. There were so much that I loved about THE STORYSPINNER , the characters, the story, the adventures that each of the characters faced and most of all, the writing. Wallace created a magical world that you can’t help but fall in love with. The Storyspinner fit the story so well, I was wondering about title about first and wonder if there was a story behind the title. Once I read the book, it made the sense to me. The adventures that all of the characters faced in this novel were so well written that I could picture it all while I read the book. There wasn’t a single page in the book that didn’t have my on the edge of my seat, and it was a reason that I kept on reading because I wanted to see what would happen next. Of course I was curious to see if Johanna would figure out that she was the princess. I was put under the book’s spell. I can’t wait for the sequel.

I was hesitant at first when I realized that it was going be from multiple character’s point of view, usually those tend to get a bit confusing for me. At least they were from the past experiences. The Storyspinner was different, the multiple point of views actually worked perfectly for this story. Wallace did it differently, she had two different storylines going for few of characters at beginning of story and that made it less confusing to read. It made sense once most of characters came together towards the end of the story. I felt like I got to know each of the characters personally and like I went along on the adventures with them. Out of all characters I loved Johanna and Rafi the most, I thought they were the most likable characters out of everyone and one I connected with the most in the novel. I loved reading from their point of view.

I loved the connection between Rafi and Johanna. In beginning I never imagined that two of them would actually end up liking each other. The two of them started out in the rough and seemed to dislike each other at first. Considering it all started because Rafi was paying off his debt to her, for hurting her. As novel progressed my view of them changed of never happening to possibly happening, how cannot anyone see it, that there was something between two of them? Especially when Rafi went on rescue mission once he realized that Johanna has been taken and how he tried protecting her prior to that. Why would he do that if he didn’t care about her? And kiss the two of them finally shared, which was magical. Now that Johanna is aware that she is princess that everyone is after, I am curious to see what happens. The ending left us hanging and I can’t wait to see what adventures, what struggles everyone will face next.

A magical, beautiful, heartbreaking journey. A debut novel that is a must read.
