Twenty years ago, America Singer entered the Selection and won Prince Maxon’s heart. Now the time has come for Princess Eadlyn to hold a Selection of her own.

Eadlyn doesn’t expect her Selection to be anything like her parents’ fairy-tale love story. But as the competition begins, she may discover that finding her own happily ever after isn’t as impossible as she always thought.

I wasn’t sure what to expect of this book. I loved KIERA CASS’S Selection Series, about Maxon & America, it was one of my favorite series. However fact that this took 20 years after America entered the selection I wasn’t sure if this book will come to same expectations. I was glad to discover that I loved THE HEIR maybe not as much as I enjoyed America & Maxon’s story but it still captured my attention, and by end of the book I wanted more, I needed what was going happen next. After a cliffhanger like that I wish that the next book in series was out already. Most of all I am curious about Eadlyn’s choice, who will she choose? It’s a question that I been wondering from moment that selection had started.

What had captured my attention was fact that this selection was reversed. Instead of Prince looking for bride, it’s a Princess looking for a husband, In Eadlyn’s case pretending to look for a husband. It wanted to like Eadlyn but in the first half of the book it was hard for me to like her, she was selfish, spoiled. She had promised her parents that she will try to find someone, that she will give the selection a try. However I felt that she wasn’t even trying at first, all she did was complain. Eadlyn’s attitude gave me a feeling that all she cared about was herself; she wasn’t giving any of those guys a chance. As book progressed I started to like her a bit more especially when I saw her starting to care for some of those guys, which I didn’t think would happen based on how she was acting. By the end of the book, she seemed like a complete different person, a major transformation. Now I am eager to see what happens now that she is taking the selection more seriously.

As for boys, just like for Eadlyn its bit hard for me to pick as well. There are few of guys that I think would be a good fit for her. Out of all boys, I saw most connection with Kile, Erik and maybe that was me but that the feeling I got. KILE, I had a feeling that there might been something between two of them from moment that two of them kissed, though it was for cameras. It might started out as staged but I could tell that minute two of them kissed, there was some sort of spark there. Otherwise why would she keep thinking about him, they keep on kissing? Even if Eadlyn didn’t want admit it, I know there is something between two of them. ERIK, He’s different because he’s not even in selection but Henri’s translator but him and Eadlyn hit off, he even comes to her rescue and then listens to her worries. Who else would do that for someone without carrying about her? I know that she feels it too, and the looks that two give each other, there is something there. My question is, who will it be?

Of course one of my most favorite and catching is the cover. Just look at it. Now tell me that you are not in love with it? The dress is completely stunning; I had always loved covers of Selection series, a dress that every girl would love to own. If a story didn’t capture your attention, the cover would. It’s beautiful, captivating just like the story was. If you enjoyed America & Maxon’s story, a story of their daughter Eadlyn is worth checking out. A story that will have you craving for more. Another great edition to the SELECTION SERIES.

From the world of Beautiful Creatures--a dangerous new tale of love and magic continues in the sequel to Dangerous Creatures.

Love is ten kinds a crazy, right?

Let me put it to you this way: If you can get away, run. Don't walk.

Because once you're exposed, you'll never get a Siren outta your head.

Some loves are cursed. Others are...dangerous. Especially the love between wannabe rocker and quarter Incubus, Wesley "Link" Lincoln, and Dark Caster, Siren, and bonafide bad girl, Ridley Duchannes.

But now Ridley is missing, and Link was with her-right up until she vanished. Determined to find her, Link reunites with his New York bandmates and the mysterious Lennox Gates, who wants Rid for himself. Together they travel to the deep south, find the crossroads where blues guitarist Robert Johnson made his deal with the devil, discover a menagerie of Casters locked in cages, and uncover an evil in New Orleans that threatens to destroy them all.

This time, love might not be enough.

That was… I don’t even have words to express how I am feeling about this book right now. I am filled with so many emotions right now. That was unexpected and even I didn’t see it coming. I need the old Ridley to come back; this girl isn’t a girl that I had learned to love. If you loved DANGEROUS CREATURES , you will be amazed by DANGEROUS DECEPTION which has even more unexpected twists and more action involved. I was thrown into Link, Nox & Ridley’s adventures from start and I couldn’t force myself to put it down, only reason that did was due to work. I was especially drawn into Ridley’s story, hers was the most intense and I wondered if she would get out of it. Out of all stories, hers was the most graphic and I actually winced at some things that happened to her. Each was unique in their own way. I loved Dangerous Creatures but I enjoyed Dangerous Deception even more. You saw a side of each character that you never saw before.

I thought that it was cool that DANGEROUS DECEPTION was written from Ridley, Nox and Link point of view but then it made more sense for this story, considering how it played out. Especially considering that Ridley vanished in the beginning, after the car crash. I have been wondering what happened to them after that car crash. I wasn’t surprised that Ridley managed to land herself in trouble again, it not the first time it happened. However this time she managed to get herself into a trouble that even she couldn’t get herself out of it. I could feel everything that Ridley felt, everything was so vivid and felt so real. Just when I started to like Ridley more, she changed and it made me wonder, what it would he do to her, to make her change that much and that fast? All I know is that she is no longer Ridley we know and learned to love. Of course my one question is what going happen with her now?

Have you ever come across two characters that you loved both? That was me with both Nox and Link. I love them both. It’s clear that both of them love Ridley, due fact of what both of them had to go through to save her. I did feel bad for Link, what happened between two of them when he finally managed to locate and after everything he went through, she just ditched her. I do feel that it wasn’t the real Ridley talking but the new one. I do feel like Nox and Ridley had more connection than her and Link did, but those two had history. I do get feeling that reason Ridley choose Nox was because she was changed and it feels that she choose him more for power than out of love. I hope for Nox’s sake that it was love. After an ending like that I am eager to see what adventures awaits Ridley, Nox and Link next. A series that deserves an A Plus. It was extraordinary.

Love out of time. A spaceship built of secrets and murder.

Seventeen-year-old Amy joins her parents as frozen cargo aboard the vast spaceship Godspeed and expects to awaken on a new planet, three hundred years in the future. Never could she have known that her frozen slumber would come to an end fifty years too soon and that she would be thrust into the brave new world of a spaceship that lives by its own rules.

Amy quickly realizes that her awakening was no mere computer malfunction. Someone - one of the few thousand inhabitants of the spaceship - tried to kill her. And if Amy doesn't do something soon, her parents will be next.

Now Amy must race to unlock Godspeed's hidden secrets. But out of her list of murder suspects, there's only one who matters: Elder, the future leader of the ship and the love she could never have seen coming.

A stunning debut. I have heard nothing but good reviews about ACROSS THE UNIVERSE , a book that had been on my to be read shelf for a while. Once I started reading the book I could tell why so many love this novel. It was extraordinary story. Space, love, secrets and mysterious murder, how can you not get curious about a story like that? I haven’t read many books about space, but seen few movies and that’s what I loved about ACROSS THE UNIVERSE, it took a place on a spaceship, how cool is that? Even if ship turned out to be filled with nothing but lies. The general idea of the story was amazing and I couldn’t pull myself away from the story. You will feel connected with characters not long after you start the book, you will start wondering what’s in store for them next. Especially Amy & Elder. ACROSS THE UNIVERSE will suck you into their adventure, secrets from start to the end.

Amy & Elder: I believe that reason the story worked out so well, because it was written from two points of view, a girl and a boy and who were completely opposite from one another. While you read the novel, you will notice the significance change between the two of characters and how they change, especially Elder. I loved Amy because of her attitude, how she didn’t let anyone boss her around and she wasn’t afraid to express how she felt when she saw something that she knew wasn’t right. I could see that there was some sort of connection between Elder and Amy from the start, maybe because Elder was one person who was nice to her and didn’t treat her like a freak, after she was unplugged. He was one person, beside Harley who was always there for her. The two of them had a connection. Now I do wonder what’s going to happen between two of them, now that he is leader. Of course the most important question of all, will they actually land? Or will something else go wrong?

The cover took my breath away. If the summary won’t draw you in the story, cover will. Just look at it and tell me that you aren’t at least a little bit curious. If I didn’t come across a summary first I think that the cover would get me to pick up the book. It’s beautiful how they look as if they are floating in the space. The cover is almost telling you the story, the one that will make you curious and have you eager to pick up the book. I give ACROSS THE UNIVERSE a A+ and if I could rate it more than 5 stars, I would. A book that I wish I picked up earlier. One of best.

When Private Matt Duffy wakes up in an army hospital in Iraq, he's honored with a Purple Heart. But he doesn't feel like a hero.

There's a memory that haunts him: an image of a young Iraqi boy as a bullet hits his chest. Matt can't shake the feeling that he was somehow involved in his death. But because of a head injury he sustained just moments after the boy was shot, Matt can't quite put all the pieces together.

Eventually Matt is sent back into combat with his squad—Justin, Wolf, and Charlene—the soldiers who have become his family during his time in Iraq. He just wants to go back to being the soldier he once was. But he sees potential threats everywhere and lives in fear of not being able to pull the trigger when the time comes. In combat there is no black-and-white, and Matt soon discovers that the notion of who is guilty is very complicated indeed.

National Book Award Finalist Patricia McCormick has written a visceral and compelling portrait of life in a war zone, where loyalty is valued above all, and death is terrifyingly commonplace.

I always loved reading books about war / military. Half of my family, from my father’s side was in military so it had always interested me. I am also currently writing a book that is going be Military based. PURPLE HEART was beautiful, moving and unforgettable book about war, life in the war zone. It was a short novel but a novel that you will never forget. I have read few books about war but not anything like this. What I loved about this one was the fact that it was from a guy’s point of view, and it felt like you got bit of more perspective about war. It was about any soldier but then one that got injured and that had trouble remembering what happened, only to have bit of information come in pieces. I can’t even imagined how terrifying it must have been for him, and confusing. All through the novel I wondered if he would remember and when he did, what would happen.

I loved the writing style; it was slightly different that one I am used to. Of course the descriptions were beautiful but at the same time, heartbreaking. While reading PURPLE HEART you get a glimpse of life of civilians as well and know that their life could be put in danger at any minute, including the children. I know that thinking that he killed a kid, was driving him crazy and if I was in his situation I would feel the same. Every description in this novel was so vivid, I saw everything. The injured while he was at hospital, while he was remembering the combat, the shooting. Even though I had never been in military, I could picture it all while I was reading it. It felt like I was there. It’s one of things that got me impossible to put the book down, and afterwards I couldn’t get it out of my mind. I felt afraid for Matt, that he would never be able to get past it. However the truth was the most unexpected, the one that even I didn’t see coming.

PURPLE HEART is one of those war books which will make you realize how bad out there it is. A novel that will take your breath away and one that will keep you on wondering what’s coming next. A beautiful, touching, inspirational novel.
