When Gia Montgomery's boyfriend, Bradley, dumps her in the parking lot of her high school prom, she has to think fast. After all, she'd been telling her friends about him for months now. This was supposed to be the night she proved he existed. So when she sees a cute guy waiting to pick up his sister, she enlists his help. The task is simple: be her fill-in boyfriend—two hours, zero commitment, a few white lies. After that, she can win back the real Bradley.

The problem is that days after prom, it's not the real Bradley she's thinking about, but the stand-in. The one whose name she doesn't even know. But tracking him down doesn't mean they're done faking a relationship. Gia owes him a favor and his sister intends to see that he collects: his ex-girlfriend's graduation party—three hours, zero commitment, a few white lies.

Just when Gia begins to wonder if she could turn her fake boyfriend into a real one, Bradley comes waltzing back into her life, exposing her lie, and threatening to destroy her friendships and her new-found relationship.

Did you ever pick up a book by author, which stories blew you away and you couldn’t get enough of? Kasie West is one of those authors for me, I have read 3 of her books so far and I loved every single one of them. West has a way to capture reader’s attention right from start and by time that you finish the book you fill find yourself falling in love with characters. The Fill In Boyfriend wasn’t any different, I had a feeling like I was going through the emotions, the journey that Gia was. I felt everything that she did. I didn’t want to put the book down, at least not till I reached the ending. I needed to see what happened, if she would get her happily ever after. Despite what she did, how she lied to her friends I rooted for her through the whole book. However once I reached the end I was thinking about then, wondering what’s next for them.

Gia & Hayden : Come on, how can you not love them? Even if it started as pretend, fake date at the prom, there was something between the two of them from start. I don’t believe that Hayden only agreed to do it after witnessing break up between her & Bradley. I believe that he felt something for her from start; he just didn’t want to admit it at first. I know for fact that there feelings for him, otherwise why would she still be thinking about him after prom? Trying to find a way to get in touch with him. There was chemistry between two of them, and I keep wondering how long it would take them to figure it out. Even Bec saw that there was something there. Of course when they finally figured that out I found myself smiling. Both Hayden and Gia deserved their happily ever after, and he was much better for her than Bradley ever was.

Once a while you come across a character in book that you can’t stand, no matter how you try to like them. Jules was that person for me, I tried to like her since Gia’s friend seemed to but I couldn’t see what they saw in her. How could they see any good in her? Considering how badly she treated Gia half of time, if I were here I would had enough a long time. That’s not a real friend. Once I found out that she did all that so she could steal the only good friend from Gia, I hated her. She’s one character that I couldn’t like no matter how hard I tried. I don’t know how anyone put up with her.

I loved the family aspect in this novel, it reminded me a lot of relationship that I have with my parents. It’s not often that teens have such good relationship with their parents. I loved how both Hayden and Gia had that. This isn’t just a romance novel; it’s a book about family, friendships. The book is filled with emotions so be ready for a roller coaster ride. Can’t wait to see what adventures West will come up with next.
