I was never supposed to be a rock star. I had my life all planned out for me. Play football in college. Go to the NFL. Marry my high school sweetheart and live happily ever after. '

I broke both our hearts that day when I told her I was leaving. I was young. I made the right decision for me, but the wrong decision for us. I’ve poured my soul into my music, but I’ve never forgotten her. Her smell, her smile.

And now I’m going back.

After ten years.

I hope I can explain that after all this time.

I still want her to be my forever girl.

I had this book on my nook for few months but I didn’t have chance to read it, till recently. The minute that I started it while I was metro I knew that it was going to be book that I would love. Forever My Girl turned out to be better than I expected to be when I read the summary and I was drawn to the characters and the story. Forever My Girl is type of novel that I wished I picked up earlier than this. From moment that I read the summary I wonder what would happen with Liam when he came back, how everyone especially her would react to his appearance. At same time, why shouldn’t they expect him to come? His best friend died. There were multiple times that I shed tears for Mason, he seemed like such decent guy, one of the good ones. The way that he died was tragic too. The story broke my heart, so much emotion, pain. I could feel the grief, the pain along with all of the characters, including Mason’s wife and children. I was glad that Liam was there for them.

Isn’t title catching Forever My Girl, how wouldn’t you want to, be curious what the book is about. Both the title and the cover caught my attention and at first I did wonder about title. As I read the book I figured out why it was called that, it’s because Josie was his forever girl. It’s cute. The cover, you can tell it’s dramatic by looking at the cover of the book, way that they standing so far away on each other on the tracks. The reader can guess by the cover that something happened between two of them, that there was some drift/ distance between Josie and Liam which is who I am sure on the cover of the book. If title of the book won’t capture the attention, the cover would. Not only can you see distance between two of them but also some sort of connection as well. It’s a beautiful cover.

I love that book was both from Josie & Liam’s point of view, that way you got to know each character a bit more and see what they were thinking, feeling. I loved them both even though I had mixed feelings about Liam at beginning of the book. Once I saw how he was with his son, I couldn’t help but love him. There was a connection between her and Josie, even if she tried to deny it for the longest time and I can’t say I blame her, he broke her heart to become a rock star. I did wonder why he didn’t tell her or took her with him. I could see she still had feelings but she was confused because she loved Nick, maybe not way that she loved Liam but she still loved him. Despite that I found myself rooting for Liam and Josie, they had a son together and he loves Liam, they belong together. What they had was a true love even after few years of separation.

Forever My Girl is a love story about mistakes, second changes and grief. If you love a love story with drama in mix, Forever My Girl is a book that you should pick up today. A heartbreaking, emotional story that is worth more than five stars. Beautiful. Engaging.
