Davy has spent the last few months trying to come to terms with the fact that she tested positive for the kill gene HTS (also known as Homicidal Tendency Syndrome). She swore she would not let it change her, and that her DNA did not define her . . . but then she killed a man.

Now on the run, Davy must decide whether she'll be ruled by the kill gene or if she'll follow her heart and fight for her right to live free. But with her own potential for violence lying right beneath the surface, Davy doesn't even know if she can trust herself.

I saw mixed reviews about this book. It seemed there were more negative than positive, but since I loved first book, I decided to check out. I wanted to see what happened with Davy next. I wasn’t disappointed, another break taking story. I didn’t understand what others seemed to complain about this book, I enjoyed Unleashed even more than I loved Uninvited, there wasn’t a single page in the book that I didn’t love. I am actually sad that it came to end, I loved all the characters and going to miss them all. I feel like I got to know them so much more, especially Davy, to me she was the one characters that changed most since the first book. Davy became stronger, and actually accepted what she was, finding a place where she belonged, what she could call home.

Davy & Caden: I liked Sean and Davy together, but after I saw how Caden and Davy were with each other, I came to realization that what Sean and Davy had wasn’t love. I loved Caden right from start, how can you not? Despite almost killing him when she first saw him, there was connection between the two of them from start, that her and Sean didn’t have, a connection that she was too stubborn to see. It was obvious how much he cared about her, by way that he tried to protect her. He loved her, even before he said it. Otherwise why would he ask her to stay on multiple times? I hoped that she would. It was where she belonged. I was rooting for them through entire book. The two of them belong together.

Unleashed was more action packed in first part of book, then second. Unleashed seemed bit more romance packed then first book was, but I didn’t mind it. It’s reason I believed that Caden and Davy belong together, I loved reading the scenes between two of them, there were so many emotions out there. To me, this book was filled with more emotions than the first one, and I felt like I could feel them all, like all of the characters did. I felt their sadness, anger, fear, hope. It was as if I went along on the journey along with them. Connected with everyone.

Uninvited series was a great experience, an unexpected journey. A series that I was glad to check out, a series I am sad to come to end. A book you will find yourself thinking a long after you finish it.
