Falcon Lake wants vengeance. And so, it seems, does someone else... An int

When Decker drags his best friend Delaney’s lifeless body out of the frozen lake, he makes a deal: Anyone but her. Everyone but her. The lake releases her. It takes another...

All their friends blame Delaney for Carson’s death. But Decker knows the truth: Delaney is drawn to those who are dying, and she would have tried to help Carson.

Or so Decker believes until a body lies in front of him in a pool of water on his kitchen floor. Until he sees in Delaney’s eyes that she knew this would happen too – and she said nothing. Until he realises it isn’t the lake that is looking for revenge – Delaney is part of someone else’s plan.

At first I was bit Hesitant about reading vengeance because I loved Fracture, and wasn’t sure how 2nd book would turn out. For a while I didn’t even know if there would be a second book. I decided to check it out, especially once I found out that it’s from Decker’s point of view. Ever since Delaney fell through ice in first book I was curious what Decker thought about that, how he felt about it. I liked this book, there was quite few parts that I enjoyed and found myself observed in, curious about but I was bit disappointed, it wasn’t what I thought it would be. I loved Decker in the first book, he was sweet and always there for Delaney no matter what. In vengeance from moment that he and Delaney broke up, he annoyed me. There were parts in the book that I just wanted talk some sense into him. He used be one of my favorite characters, now not so much.

What annoyed me most about Decker is how he treated Deleaney when she didn’t tell him about his father’s death, how he acted that she was one who killed him. Didn’t he think that maybe there were reason that she didn’t tell him? Though I can understand why he acted that way, he felt betrayed by the person he loved. However that doesn’t give him right to act way he did. Honestly I don’t know how Delaney forgave him, I know that I wouldn’t be able to. I would never let anyone get away with treating me like that. She must really love him. He broke up with her then became acting possessive if she even tried talk to someone, I don’t know how she put up with him or why she want someone like that back. I didn’t like how Decker changed because it got harder for me to like him.

However I did enjoy the mystery aspect of the novel, when Decker’s house got flooded, when Tara ended up in the Lake after drinking. It does make the reader wonder : Is there really a curse? Who will it take first? Of course the way that Tara ended up in Lake had me suspicious, I knew that there has to be someone behind it. I did like how Delaney and Decker teamed up to try figure out what was going on. I never thought it be Janna who flood Decker’s house, but her brother died and she thought everyone forgot about him. She wanted revenge. She wanted people to remember but I think she went bit out of control. Those parts had me on edge of my seat, wondering what’s going to happen next. If anyone else end up dead before the end of the book.

I didn’t think it was a bad book, I did enjoy it. However I think Fracture would been fine without a sequel. It does have quite bit of mystery added to it and bit drama. If you wonder what happened with everyone after Fracture, you should give it a try.
