Isadora's family is seriously screwed up—which comes with the territory when you're the human daughter of the ancient Egyptian gods Isis and Osiris. Isadora is tired of living with crazy relatives who think she's only worthy of a passing glance—so when she gets the chance to move to California with her brother, she jumps on it. But her new life comes with plenty of its own dramatic—and dangerous—complications . . . and Isadora quickly learns there's no such thing as a clean break from family.

Blending Ally Carter's humor and the romance of Cynthia Hand's Unearthly, The Chaos of Stars takes readers on an unforgettable journey halfway across the world and back, and proves there's no place like home.

I have only read one other book by Kiersten White before this, Parnormalcy which I loved. I came across The Chaos Of Stars while I was at library, getting more books to read when I came across this novel. I always loved books about Mythology, they are fascinating to read about, at least to me. This novel wasn’t any different, I loved every minute, every page. At first I was a bit hesitant at reading the book because I saw few negative comments about. Then decided since I liked the author, the last book that I read by her, I would give it a chance. I’m glad that I did, it wasn’t what I had expected it to be, it had be observed in the book from page 1. It’s the type of a novel that made me wish that it wasn’t a stand-alone but a series. I wanted to see what happens with everyone afterwards. I can’t seem why some others didn’t like this book. The Chaos of Stars was a thrilling ride.

In beginning, I wasn’t sure how to feel about Isadora because all she seemed do, is to complain how much her life sucks, how her parents don’t love her. She also seemed to be getting in constant arguments with her mother, no matter what it was. Then when she went to live with her brother, she was mad at him for having a wife, a baby on the way. To me it felt like that she only cared how she felt. As novel progressed, I noticed the change in her, especially once she met Tyler and Ry. By end she was completely different person. It was almost impossible to not love Tyler and Ry. Both of them tried to make her feel welcome, like she belonged and both of them came to her rescue. Tyler is type of friend that I would love to have, the one that would always be there. I saw the connection between Ry and Isadora right away and I hoped that eventually she give in, and be with him. See that he did care about her.

I loved the facts about the gods before each chapter, and it was pretty fascinating to read about it. I felt the more I read about them, more I learned about them and more I could understand each one of them. Histories about them, between the two of them were very interesting to read about. Isadora’s dreams were interesting too but I felt like they were sending message too, that something bad was going to happen. Each dream that she had was filled with more darkness than before. It was sending her a message like it sent one to her mother, that she was in danger. Though it was her mother who ended up in danger in the end. I’m looking forward to see what other adventures, stories that White will come up with. If you love mythology, The Chaos Of Stars is the book to check out.
