She won’t rest until she’s sent every walking corpse back to its grave. Forever.

Had anyone told Alice Bell that her entire life would change course between one heartbeat and the next, she would have laughed. From blissful to tragic, innocent to ruined? Please. But that’s all it took. One heartbeat. A blink, a breath, a second, and everything she knew and loved was gone.

Her father was right. The monsters are real….

To avenge her family, Ali must learn to fight the undead. To survive, she must learn to trust the baddest of the bad boys, Cole Holland. But Cole has secrets of his own, and if Ali isn’t careful, those secrets might just prove to be more dangerous than the zombies….

I wish I could go back and do a thousand things differently.
How can a sentence like that not capture anyone’s attention and make you wonder, what happened? I had a feeling that Alice In Zombieland would end up being a book that I would love. I have yet to come across a zombie book that I didn’t like. This wasn’t any different. There were quite few mixed reviews about the book, but I decided to check out and give it a chance anyways and I am glad that I did. Alice’s story was horrifying, heartbreaking and very addicting. Once I came to the end of the book, I wish I could picked up the second book right away, to see what adventures, obstacles Alice and her friends will have to face next. Will Cole and Alice make it after what happened? What about Kat? How long more does she actually have? I’m eager to see what happens with everyone next. I’m excited to follow Alice next adventure.

Alice is hard not to like. How can you not like someone who lost her entire family, on her birthday? I don’t think it be something she look forward to from now on. I know that I wouldn’t if that happened to me. I wouldn’t even want to celebrate my birthday. What Alice went through was horrible, especially seeing her mom and dad, dead. It’s an image she might never get out of her mind. Top of it, seeing Zombies and learning how to fight them? That’s a lot for one girl to take in, all at once. I know that if I was in her situation, I wouldn’t be able to handle all of that. I would be too freaked out by zombies. That takes courage and that’s what Alice has. That’s what I liked about her, no matter what happened, though she got bitten multiple times, she didn’t give up, not once. Alice will go a long way, she’s strong and once she set her mind on something, she will finish. I’m sure main reason she’s doing that is because of her family, for revenge. I do hope she succeeds.

I have read quite few books about Zombies, but this is unlike the others, this has be my favorite one because it’s unique. Zombies are different here, more like an infection and in order to fight them, you have be in your spirit form. That’s not something I heard of before, it’s complete new idea and original and that’s what I loved about it. It’s good that her father taught her how to fight, or otherwise she might not done as good like she did on her first time. Cole helped her out a lot too. There was attraction there from start, how could there not be? Otherwise why would they keep having visions of each other kissing, any time that they looked at each other? I am still wondering about that, about the visions. Is really a vision about the future? I knew Alice was hesitant about Cole at first but as time passed, I saw how much they cared about each other. Cole was constantly trying to protect her and make sure everyone treated her right. I was glad that she had him and Kat, I think that both of them helped her deal with her family’s death in their own way. I did feel sad when I found out Kat is sick, I had suspicion that something is off with her. I’m hoping that maybe they can find some sort of cure. I can’t imagine how Alice feel if Kat dies.

If you love books about Zombies, check out Alice in Zombieland. It has action, adventure, a bit of romance and quite bit of horror in it. A book that you don’t want to miss.
