SUMMARY
Y’all need to get yourselves together. Here’s a newsflash from the only High Priestess you have left at this dang school: Zoey isn’t dead. And believe me, I know dead. I’ve been there, done that and got the fricken tee-shirt.

Zoey Redbird is the youngest High Priestess in House of Night history and is the only person—vamp or fledgling—that can stop the evil Neferet from raising all kinds of immortal trouble. And she might just have a chance if she wasn’t so busy being dead.Well, dead is too strong a word. Stevie Rae knows she can bring her BFF back from her unscheduled va-cay in the Otherworld. But it’s going to take a lot more than hoping to bring Zoey back. Stevie Rae will have to give up a few secrets of her own.

Cast knows how to hook the reader into the story, and how to keep the reader on reading it. There were few times that I wished I could read all night. I wanted, no I needed know what was going happen with Zoey next, would they be able to rescue her? Or would she drift farther away? It made me sad to see how she was drifting, how far away she seemed. Zoey didn’t sound like herself most of the time. I was glad that at least she wasn’t alone there, that Heath was by her side every step of way. All through the novel, I was rooting for her to make it through this.

Burned was slightly different than the other House Of Night novels, for a chance it wasn’t mostly from Zoey’s POV like the previous novels has been. Of course Zoey was in otherword and when it was written from her point of view, it did not sound like Zoey at all, It felt like a completely different person took over Zoey. Most of Burned was written from Stevie Rae’s POV, at least she was mentioned the most. Her and Stark. I enjoyed reading from their point of view, afterwards I could easily relate more to both of them, due to fact that I got to know them lot better through the book. I could tell how much Stark loved her, otherwise he wouldn’t gone through all of that to rescue Zoey. Stevie Rae, she seemed so much tougher then I remember her being. I love that she doesn’t take crap from anyone.

Burned was filled with even more action. Especially when Zoey was fighting, in attempt to pull her soul back together. When Stark fought, in order to get her back where she belongs. How every one of her friends, including Aprhodite wouldn’t give up on Zoey even if everyone else said they should. None of them gave up, they kept for looking for solutions to have bring her back to them. What Zoey has are friends who are going last a lifetime. They are reason that she was able to come back.

Burned will keep you wondering what come for Zoey and friends next. Will they be able to defeat Kalona? Will Stevie Rae’s come out?
