SUMMARY

Making friends has never been Elise Dembowski’s strong suit. All throughout her life, she’s been the butt of every joke and the outsider in every conversation. When a final attempt at popularity fails, Elise nearly gives up. Then she stumbles upon a warehouse party where she meets Vicky, a girl in a band who accepts her; Char, a cute, yet mysterious disc jockey; Pippa, a carefree spirit from England; and most importantly, a love for DJing.

Told in a refreshingly genuine and laugh-out-loud funny voice, THIS SONG WILL SAVE YOUR LIFE is an exuberant novel about identity, friendship, and the power of music to bring people together.

This Song Will Save Your life was beautifully written. It was an inspirational book, at least to me. Have you ever read a novel where you could relate to what was going on with main character? In way I could relate to Elise. Not all the way but parts of it. Like Elise, I had always been outsider and didn’t have many friends when in school. I had felt alone a lot. Like her, I did find friends at some point. I was bullied as well. Through middle school and most of high school. I could relate to how she was feeling most of time and because of that, I liked her. I enjoyed watching her change all through book, finally find something that she enjoyed, finding new friends. It made me happy that she found a place where she fit in.

Char: He was one character that I wasn’t sure about. From start I had a feeling that there was something off about him, something that I didn’t like. Once he told her about Pippa then got together with Elise I got a feeling that he was just using her, or at least that’s feeling I got. He ditched her moment she got gig that he wanted. If he cared for her, he would been happy for her. I got feeling that he cares for Pippa more that he admits, I believe that’s the real reason he had dumped Elise. He didn’t even consider it, not till she got back. I was still not a big fan of him.

Now Vicky was a good friend. Liked her from the start. She didn’t judge her, not even after she found out after her arm. Instead she talked her about it and made her feel that she belonged. I loved how both Vicky and Henry accepted for who she was. Finally Elise had a place where she had friends, doing what she loved. It’s a novel that I couldn’t pull myself away from, I was sucked in in her life and I wanted see how it would end. I needed to know if she finally find her happiness.

There were tears through this novel. It’s an inspirational book for most of the teens, that I think all of teens should at least check out. More that you read, the more you crave. You will find yourself observed in Elise’s life, I know that I did. A novel you won’t forget, a characters you can relate to, a story that is worth checking out.

SUMMARY

No one knows what happened the night Echo Emerson went from popular girl with jock boyfriend to gossiped-about outsider with the freaky scars on her arms. Even Echo can’t remember the whole truth of that horrible night. All she knows is that she wants everything to go back to normal.
But when Noah Hutchins, the smoking-hot, girl-using loner in the black leather jacket, explodes into her life with his tough attitude and surprising understanding, Echo & world shifts in ways she could never have imagined. They should have nothing in common. And with the secrets they both keep, being together is pretty much impossible.

Yet the crazy attraction between them refuses to go away. And Echo has to ask herself just how far they can push the limits and what she’ll risk for the one guy who might teach her how to love again.

I been hearing about Pushing The Limits for quite a while now, and most of the reviews I seen were positive ones. From moment that I started reading it I could see why. It’s such captivating novel. It’s like a roller coaster ride, the book. While reading it, I went through so many emotions. Anger, happiness, sadness, fear, curiosity. I enjoyed that it had quite of suspense added to the story, it kept me engaged. It keeps the reader eager to see what will happen next. I know that I was eager to find what happened to Echo, and part of me hoped that she would remember and another part not. Sometimes it’s better if you don’t remember. From what I read, I knew that nothing good could come out of it. Both, the story, the characters were so realistic, I needed to know what would happen, how it would end for everyone.

Echo & Noah: They are the last two people I thought end up together. Echo and Noah are so opposite, that I didn’t see how it could work between them. I could tell that Noah was attracted to her from beginning. I noticed how it affected him. What I liked about their story is that they both were unhappy but for different reasons, and they didn’t fall in love, get into relationship right away. It made their relationship realistic. At first I had my doubts about Noah, especially when he wouldn’t tell her he loved her. But he was there for her, even after they broke up, he was in hospital with her till end. I knew then that he loved her. I bet she was first girl he loved. In a way, Echo changed him. Them finding in each other, saved both of them.

Writing book from both Echo & Noah’s point of view fit the story well. Reading from both of their point of view is way reader got to know both of the characters. It got me to understand why Noah was way he was, same for Echo. I got look of how they felt for each other. Both Echo and Noah families was important to them. I was curious to see if Echo give Ashley a chance, I know she was angry with her but she still didn’t treat her right. I noticed how Ashley tried to involve herself in her life, to help her. I liked her. I’m glad that Echo decided to give her a real chance.

Mrs. Collins: How can anyone not love her? I know that I did. She tried so hard, to help both Echo and Noah from beginning, even if they didn’t see it that way at first. I could see that Echo started to trust her, through halfway the book. I know that she cared about both of them, otherwise why would she go this far, to help them. I believe that she was one of reasons that Echo remembered what happened to her that night. I wish that more counsels could care about their students like this.

Pushing The Limits is a thrilling ride. A book that everyone should check out, a book that you won’t be able to get out of your mind.

SUMMARY
“Anorexia. When you hear it, when you say that word, you think of a girl, right?"

Mirror on the wall, who is the skinniest of them all? Jack Thorne has lost everything. Still struggling with inescapable guilt and grief from his father’s death, old emotions and demons from the past resurface when his best friend suddenly vanishes. He had nothing - until he met her. Emily Gray, a mysterious yet inviting girl that, unbeknownst to Jack, is connected to him forever.

Just Jack chronicles the life of a teenage boy, on the brink of becoming a man, who develops anorexia after the sudden death of his best friend. Join him on his journey to recovery and on the rocky roller coaster of a new found love.

Heartbreaking, engaging, realistic, inspirational. Those are the few words that would describe this novel. It was one of most realistic, saddest novels that I read in while. Yet the moment that I picked it up, I found myself hooked. I couldn’t put it down, no I didn’t want to put it down. I needed to know how it would end. It felt like I needed to know that Jack was going be okay, that he wouldn’t go downhill yet. If it happened to him twice, there was a chance that it could happen again. I was observed in the story, in Jack’s life. All through the book, I hoped for happy ending for him, especially with everything that he gone through.

Powell‘s descriptions,, emotion were amazing. It felt so real and a lot of time, it felt like I was feeling what Jack was. It’s not often you hear or read books that deals with anorexia with guy as main character. Most of time when you hear anorexia, you instantly assume a girl. That was one of things that made this story so unique; it was unlike any book that I read before. I learned so much about anorexia that I wasn’t aware of before. I felt so bad for Jack too, it didn’t seem like anything was going well for him. I wished that I could pulled him into hug. But he pulled through, and that takes a lot. I don’t think I would able to, if I was in his situation.

Jack & Chris: At first I thought that maybe, there was more than typical best friend friendship there. At least it felt like it to me. Mostly because of how Jack reacted when Chris disappeared, and how he acted when he came back too. There was a connection there, that went beyond best friends. I wasn’t too happy that he faked his death, but once I read why, I understood. I wish he could at least warn Jack. I was glad that he came back though. Even if Jack didn’t feel same about Chris as he did, I got feeling that there was still something there, some sort of feelings that he might have denied.

Jack & Emily: Their relationship was different, unique. That was one of things that I loved about it. I could tell that Jack was attracted, connected to her right away. How he acted, how he thought about her gave me that feeling. It was different, cause he was anorexic and she was bipolar, unlike any relationship I read before. All through the book, it would make reader wonder, how far the two of them would make it. Emily always seemed to appear everywhere, when Jack needed her. That was one thing that I couldn’t figure out how she did it. When she left, I felt sad just like Jack. I wondered if that truly was end of the relationship. I was glad it wasn't.

Just Jack is one of most inspirational books. Once I finished reading it, I found myself thinking about it afterwards. It will make you cry, but it will always make you smile, hope and think. There isn’t a single scene, page that doesn’t keep you wondering. It’s a book that everyone should check out. Powell is an author that is going go a long way. I’m eager for his next book.

SUMMARY

Drastically altered after her fall at the end of Hidden, Neferet is now more dangerous than ever--and her quest for vengeance will wreak havoc on humans, as well as Zoey and her friends. Chaos is loosed in Tulsa and the House of Night is blamed. Can Zoey stop Neferet in time to keep her anger from escalating to full-on war? Or will someone else have to step in to take the fall?

How am I supposed wait till October? After an ending like that? Honestly I am not sure I can wait that long, I want know what happens next, especially with Zoey. Revealed was filled with so many twists and half of them I did not even see coming. Erin’s Death, Zoey’s arrest. Aphrodite keeping her vision for Zoey for that long. Mayor’s murder. How can you not like a book like that? If I weren’t sick when I started reading it, I would read it faster than I did. It seems more that these books progress, it gets more intense and harder to pull yourself away. It feels like it to me anyways. It’s hard to believe that it almost coming to the end. October needs to come faster so can see how it all ends.

Zoey: This the first time in most of books, that I wasn’t happy with Zoey. Somehow I got a feeling, even before Aphrodite’s vision that something was off about her. I understand that she is under a lot of stress, I would be too if was in her situation. Yet way that she was action, how angry she would get and most of all how fast. It’s like she had hard time controlling her anger. I was pretty sure that it had a little do with stress, and more to do with Stone, it seemed to be affecting her, and not in good way. When she attacked Shaylin with stone, I knew then that it might be too late, to save her. Aphrodite should told her earlier, before she caught her talking about her, and maybe there is possibility that it all could been avoided. I hoped that vision didn’t come true, that she wasn’t arrested. I can’t even begin to imagine how Stark must felt, especially when he could do nothing to stop it. Now I am curious what would happen to her, how will it affect House Of Night. How are they going try defeat Neferet if she’s in jail?

I enjoyed reading about Nefret’s past, I always wondered if that was her real name, and how she ended up turning to darkness. It was an interesting history, and I could tell that she turned to darkness, way before she ended up at Tulsa House of Night. I can’t blame her after what her father did, and why she didn’t trust humans. She wanted to be in control. She’s getting more powerful, more dangerous. And with Zoey in jail, I am afraid of what she might do, that Tulsa might be in trouble. I bet she be happy when she finds out that Zoey in jail. Hopefully someone will be able to put stop to her, for good.

I am fan of Stark, I always been and always hoped he be with Zoey. But he was bit out of control in Revealed; it’s no wonder that Zoey was getting annoyed with him. He was acting too possessive over Aurox, I get that he is jealous, but how he was acting wasn’t good. I was sure that she would end up dumping him at some point, if he kept it up. Glad she didn’t though, glad that she had finally made up her mind who she wanted be with. I am hoping he’ll be one to find a way, to rescue her. I am sure that he won’t give up till he does.

SUMMARY
At last, Zoey has what she wanted: the truth is out. Neferet's evil has been exposed, and the High Council is no longer on her side - but she's far from done wreaking havoc in the vampyre world. First, a mysterious fire ravages the stables. Then, Neferet makes a devastating move that will test them all.

With the seeds of distrust sown and Darkness breeding chaos at the House of Night, everyone must band together - but that's proving to be more difficult than ever before. The twins are barely speaking and the House of Night's former enemy, Kalona, has now become their warrior, pushing their trust to the limit. To top it off, Zoey is pretty darn sure she might be losing her mind. She saw something when she looked at Aurox through the Seer Stone that she can hardly explain to herself, let alone her friends. Is it possible that Heath has come back in a different form? Is that why Zoey's so intrigued by Aurox, when it's so obvious that he's dangerous? And who would believe her if she told them? Zoey knows that following her instinct about Aurox might be just what they need to defeat evil . . . but if she's wrong, it could cause the destruction of those closest to her.

With the tension at a breaking point and friendships on the line, can the nerd herd come together to stop the spread of Darkness before it's too late?

There been quite few negative reviews on series lately. I don’t think it’s fair to the authors too. If you don’t like the books, then don’t read it. Simple as that. This series been ditched too much lately. I love the series and so far I haven’t been disappointed. It’s type of series that you can’t help but dive into. Hidden wasn’t any different,, there was so much going on that I did not want to put the book down. The cover is my favorite one; it gives a reader a pretty good image, Of Zoey. I assume that it’s Zoey from descriptions in the books. Despite what half of people saying, I love Zoey. I love her attitude, her courage. I would never be able handle everything she had, I would give up a long time ago. I’m eager to see how the series will end.

Erin : That was one of most unexpected twists for me, her changing sides. That was one thing that took me by surprise. And to end up Dallas? After knowing what he was. I know that her and Shaunee were having major issues, but I was sure that they were going work out, maybe even somehow remain friends. Her betraying her friends and becoming as bad as Dallas was a shock to me. Though I always preferred Shaunee, I didn’t think that Erin was that cold. Maybe its way that she always been. However I do hope that she will come to her senses, and soon.

Aurox: Yet another bad guy that turns away from Darkness and goes to the light instead. I had a feeling that it might happen, especially after he met Zoey. I believe because Heath’s soul is inside of him, made it possible for him to turn towards light instead. I got my mixed feelings about him, one part of me likes him and another not so much. But once he saved Grandma Redbird, I couldn’t help but like him. How could you not? I had always liked Heath too, and missed him. I feel bad for Stark though, can’t imagine how he feels, and know that Heath is inside Aurox. I can tell that there is connection, attraction between the two of them. I do hope that Zoey doesn’t end with two guys again. Not fair to either of them. Neferet needs to be stopped, once and for all. She seems to be getting more powerful, I hoped that maybe she was finally defeated but it doesn’t seem like it. At least they saved Grandma, I was actually sure that she wouldn’t made it through this. Zoey lost too many loved ones, don’t know how she handled it.

House Of Night, a series filled with suspense, romance, action and mystery. Every book keeps you wondering what’s going happen next. You’ll be eager to pick up the next book right away.

SUMMARY
Zoey is finally home where she belongs, safe with her Guardian Warrior, Stark, by her side, and preparing to face off against Neferet - which would be a whole lot easier if the High Counsel saw the ex-High Priestess for what she really is.

But there are new forces at work at the House of Night. An influx of humans, including Lenobia's handsome horse whisperer, threatens their precarious stability. And then there's the mysterious Aurox, a jaw-droppingly gorgeous teen boy who is actually more - or possibly less - than human. Only Zoey can sense the part of his soul that remains human, the compassion that wars with his Dark calling. And there's something strangely familiar about him...

Will Neferet's true nature be revealed before she succeeds in silencing them all? And will Zoey be able to touch Aurox's humanity in time to protect him - and everyone - from his own fate?

House Of Night is like an addiction. Every single book that I read, I fall more in love with the series, I can’t put down. Once I finish it, I pick the next one up because I need see what happens with Zoey and her friends next. Also it leaves with such twists at almost every book; you can’t help but wonder how they are going to resolve it. Destined is the same, addiction, mysterious, filled with a lot of action. Fact that there is always something going on, and that’s what makes it so interesting. Each page take your breath away, and it kept me wondering what is going happen next, how they going get out or resolve the solution. How can you not love the books?

There were quite unexpected twisted in Destined that even I didn’t see coming. The whole Shaunee & Erin split, that was unexpected, didn’t think that it would ever happen. The two of them had a special bond, or so that I thought. Before the split, I did feel like something was off about Shaunee, she wasn’t acting like herself, there seemed to be something that was bothering her, something off. Despite that, I still did not see the split coming. Though I got say that I like Shaunee as her own person, she seems, nicer unlike when she was with Erin. I thought it was nice of her, to give Kalona a way that he could contact Rephlaim if he wanted. I think that actually saved his son’s life when he was in trouble. I am eager if Erin and Shaunee will still remain friends, or if they go their separate ways. Now Kalona joining Zoey’s side and even becoming a warrior, that was most surprising one of all. I never imagined him crossing to the good side. Question is, if he can stay that way.

It seems like Zoey and her friends can’t catch a break. They need to defeat her, Neferet. But at least she was exposed, that she had turned to the side of Darkness. I don’t if that’s even something that she would be able get out of. Now almost everyone is aware of what she truly is. Yet I have a feeling that things are about get worse. Just because she is going get exposed, doesn’t mean that she is going to give up. I don’t see how anyone but Zoey and her friends, saw how evil she was. Didn’t they see the change in her? Hope that she will get what coming to her in end.

SUMMARY

""My love, speak to me. Tell me everything." Neferet went to Kalona, kneeling before him, stroking the soft, dark wings that unfurled loosely around the immortal. "

""What would you have me say?" He didn't meet her eyes. "

" "Zoey lives." Neferet's voice was flat, cold, lifeless."

""She does.""

""Then you owe me the subservience of your immortal soul." She started to walk away from him."

""Where are you going? What will happen next?""

" "It is quite simple. I will ensure Zoey is drawn back to Oklahoma. There, on my own terms, I will complete the task you failed.""

Exonerated by the Vampyre High Council and returned to her position of High Priestess at Tulsa's House of Night, Neferet has sworn vengeance on Zoey. Dominion over Kalona is only one of the weapons she plans to use against Z. But Zoey has found sanctuary on the Isle of Skye and is being groomed by Queen Sgiach to take over for her there. Being Queen would be cool, wouldn't it? Why should she return to Tulsa? After losing her human consort, Heath, she will never be the same - and her relationship with her super-hot-warrior, Stark, may never be the same either...

And what about Stevie Rae and Rephaim? The Raven Mocker refuses to be used against Stevie Rae, but what choice does he have when no one in the entire world, including Zoey, would be okay with their relationship? Does he betray his father or his heart?

Seems the more books progress, more in love I fall with them. Every book is filled with more suspense. I like the fact that in each book they seem to add another character’s point of view. That’s how the reader gets to learn more about certain character. It’s like a reader is able to connect with the character more. For instance, I understand both Stevie Rae and Stark more than I did in previous books. I can see how both of characters progressed, changed since the beginning of series. Both Stevie Rae and Stark became much stronger, more independent. Zoey might complain a lot, but I can’t blame her, for 17 year old she has lot responsibilities. She is more confident then she was at beginning, at her role.

I’m loving connection between Stevie Rae & Rephaim. Now it’s hard for me to pick who is my favorite couple, Stark & Zoey or Stevie Rae & Rephaim. Both of them have unique relationship and a strong connection between two of them. Expect the relationship between Stevie Rae & Rephaim is a secret one, a forbidden love. Never did I think that a Raven Mocker even had a feelings, expect to cause violence, but Rephaim is different, he’s changed and I believe it’s all because of her. The attraction, the love between the two of them made me smile every time. All through the book, I hoped that they would find a way to be together. Even if I knew that when others found out about them, it wouldn’t end well for them. That’s why when Nyx forgave him, that was something that I did not see coming. At same time I was happy for them, glad that they could finally be together. As for Stark and Zoey, I loved that there was more scenes between two of them in this book, every one of them was filled with passion. What they have is a true love.

Jack, I was not happy with them for killing another character I loved. Out of all characters, why did it have to be Jack, the most innocent, lovable one? My heart broke for Damien, I wasn’t sure if he even make it through his death. I think if it wasn’t for Zoey coming back, he might not have. All through the book, I wanted to pull him into a hug, hold him. It’s a good thing that he has such amazing friends.

Though I know I shouldn’t, I felt myself growing bit fond of Kalona in this book. I got a feeling that there might be something good left in him. Of course I might be wrong too. Awakened was filled with a lot of twists and turns. Unexpected ones. Now to see what happens next, if they finally find a way to defend Kalona, Nefret. And if there chance that Kalona might change. Like his son has.

SUMMARY
Y’all need to get yourselves together. Here’s a newsflash from the only High Priestess you have left at this dang school: Zoey isn’t dead. And believe me, I know dead. I’ve been there, done that and got the fricken tee-shirt.

Zoey Redbird is the youngest High Priestess in House of Night history and is the only person—vamp or fledgling—that can stop the evil Neferet from raising all kinds of immortal trouble. And she might just have a chance if she wasn’t so busy being dead.Well, dead is too strong a word. Stevie Rae knows she can bring her BFF back from her unscheduled va-cay in the Otherworld. But it’s going to take a lot more than hoping to bring Zoey back. Stevie Rae will have to give up a few secrets of her own.

Cast knows how to hook the reader into the story, and how to keep the reader on reading it. There were few times that I wished I could read all night. I wanted, no I needed know what was going happen with Zoey next, would they be able to rescue her? Or would she drift farther away? It made me sad to see how she was drifting, how far away she seemed. Zoey didn’t sound like herself most of the time. I was glad that at least she wasn’t alone there, that Heath was by her side every step of way. All through the novel, I was rooting for her to make it through this.

Burned was slightly different than the other House Of Night novels, for a chance it wasn’t mostly from Zoey’s POV like the previous novels has been. Of course Zoey was in otherword and when it was written from her point of view, it did not sound like Zoey at all, It felt like a completely different person took over Zoey. Most of Burned was written from Stevie Rae’s POV, at least she was mentioned the most. Her and Stark. I enjoyed reading from their point of view, afterwards I could easily relate more to both of them, due to fact that I got to know them lot better through the book. I could tell how much Stark loved her, otherwise he wouldn’t gone through all of that to rescue Zoey. Stevie Rae, she seemed so much tougher then I remember her being. I love that she doesn’t take crap from anyone.

Burned was filled with even more action. Especially when Zoey was fighting, in attempt to pull her soul back together. When Stark fought, in order to get her back where she belongs. How every one of her friends, including Aprhodite wouldn’t give up on Zoey even if everyone else said they should. None of them gave up, they kept for looking for solutions to have bring her back to them. What Zoey has are friends who are going last a lifetime. They are reason that she was able to come back.

Burned will keep you wondering what come for Zoey and friends next. Will they be able to defeat Kalona? Will Stevie Rae’s come out?

SUMMARY

Zoey needs a break after some serious excitement. Sadly, the House of Night school for vampyres doesn’t feature breaks on its curriculum—even for a High Priestess in training and her gang. Plus juggling three guys is no stress reliever, especially when one is a sexy Warrior so into protecting Zoey that he’s sensing her emotions

Wider stresses lurk too, and the dark force in Tulsa’s tunnels is spreading. Could Stevie Rae be responsible for more than a group of misfit fledglings? And Aphrodite’s visions warn Zoey to stay away from the immortal Kalona and his dark allure—but they also show that only Zoey can stop him. She’s not exactly keen to meet up, but if Zoey doesn’t go to Kalona he’ll exact a fiery vengeance on those closest to her.

She just has to find the courage to do what’s necessary, or everything that’s important to her will be destroyed

I thought that other books were intense. They were nothing compared to Tempted . Right from the first page till the last page, it filled with suspense, adventure and of course bit of romance. That is one of things that I like about these books, there is romance in them but just enough. Not too much, not too little. In beginning there was bit more romance, but as it progressed, there seemed to be more suspense. Tempted was just like that. I got to admit that romance going on in Tempted, was filled with a lot of passion. Every time it had me wondering what’s coming next. There wasn’t one dull moment in this installment of House Of Night.

Stark: I loved him since he appeared in Untamed. Once he became Zoey’s warrior, I became even bigger fan of his. After reading Tempted, I can’t get enough of him. Especially after way the book ended, I need to see what happens; I want to see what he is going to do, to save Zoey. My heart broke for Stark when Zoey’s soul shattered, I can’t even imagine how he must felt at that moment, especially when he saw it happen. The scenes between Stark and Zoey were filled with so much passion; I could tell that they loved each other. Just the way they were around each other. They got a special bond. A bond that Zoey doesn’t even have with Heath. Seeing Zoey’s soul shatter, made me cry too. Hope Stark can get over the grief fast enough, to help her.

Stevie Rae: She was a last person I expected to fall, for the enemy. Especially a Raven Mocker out of all people. I was sure that she would get rid of it, maybe even kill it especially after she found out that it killed one of professors, Anastasia. I hoped that she would think of what could happen if they were discovered. But as book progressed, I could tell why she liked him, and it got me harder to dislike him. He seemed different then the other Raven Mockers, he cared for Stevie Rae even if he wouldn’t admit it. Otherwise he wouldn’t came to her rescue on the roof. I’m eager to see what will become of their relationship.

What was unique about Tempted was that it wasn’t written only from Zoey’s POV but also Aphrodite, Stark, even Heath. It got for reader to get to know the other characters more. I always wondered what Stark and Stevie Rae were thinking. It had unexpected twists. For instance did not see ending coming, Heath’s death, Zoey’s soul shattering because of it. I cried. I wasn’t too happy that they killed Heath either. Why did it have to be him? Ending ended in intense cliffhanger, and I picked up Burned right away. House Of Night is type of book you find yourself thinking about once you finish it. It’s series that will stay with you.

SUMMARY

What if the hottest guy in the world was hiding a nameless evil, and all he wanted was you?

At the start of this heart-pounding new installment of the bestselling House of Night series, Zoey's friends have her back again and Stevie Rae and the red fledglings aren't Neferet's secrets any longer. But an unexpected danger has emerged. Neferet guards her powerful new consort, Kalona, and no one at the House of Night seems to understand the threat he poses. Kalona looks gorgeous, and he has the House of Night under his spell. A past life holds the key to breaking his rapidly spreading influence, but what if this past life shows Zoey secrets she doesn't want to hear and truths she can't face?

On the run and holed up in Tulsa's Prohibition-era tunnels, Zoey and her gang must discover a way to deal with something that might bring them all down. Meanwhile, Zoey has a few other little problems. The red fledglings have cleaned up well - they've even managed to make the dark, creepy tunnels feel more like home - but are they really as friendly as they seem? On the boyfriend front, Zoey has a chance to make things right with super-hot ex-, Erik, but she can't stop thinking about Stark, the archer who died in her arms after one unforgettable night, and she is driven to try to save him from Neferet's sinister influence at all costs. Will anyone believe the power evil has to hide among us?

Have you ever read a series where each book hooked you more to it? That’s what House Of Night is doing to me. It’s filled with suspense, romance, mystery, adventure. It has everything that I love in the books. I seen few negative reviews of this books, but I don’t see why some people don’t like this book. I have read the first 5 books multiple times and love them. Hunted was more breath taking, filled with more suspense then Untamed seemed to be. At least that how it felt to me. Zoey fighting within evil in herself against this one. Against Kalona and against Stark, (In beginning) . Each chapter, each page had me wondering what she will have to face next. I don’t know how she managed go through so much, at 17. Despite the mistakes she made, I love Zoey. She has a lot of responsibilities, a lot of courage. I saw how much she had go through in hunted, but she didn’t give up but kept on going.

Stark & Kalona : Of course I was happy to see Stark return in Hunted. I might not been too happy with him at start, but I had a feeling that Zoey wouldn’t stop at trying to save him. Before he became her warrior, I saw how much she liked him. Actually I believe that she might love him, maybe she just didn’t realize it yet. Way she looked at him, how she still wanted be around him, to save him. There seems something between two of them that she doesn’t have with Erik and Heath. I am hoping he’s the one she ends up with. Stark cares for her too, she’s reason he changed, for good. He loves her. I don’t think he would pledged to be her warrior if he didn’t. I’m eager to see how their relationship changes, now that he is a warrior, if their connection gets stronger. Now I know Kalona is supposed be bad guy but way Cast describes him and connection he has with Zoey kind of gives me mixed feelings for him. Part of me knows that he is evil but another part, thinks that maybe there is good somewhere in there. However I do hope Zoey can fight her attraction to him, otherwise it won’t end well.

The descriptions, the emotions of characters in this book were amazing. I felt like I was there, besides Zoey when she got hurt, when she got taken to House of Night. There was always some twist, some suspense in the novel that I didn’t see coming. I am starting to dislike Erik though. I get that she hurt him, cheated on him before but it gives him no right to act like a jerk. I am actually hoping that Zoey isn’t going put up with that for long and dump him. She deserves better than him. Even Heath treats her better. The ending of course is craving for more. I want to pick up Tempted right away. I am curious to see what adventures, what obstacles they will face next. Who Zoey end up with and what secrets Stevie Rae is hiding.

House Of Night a series worth checking out.
