I read the first two Gossip Girl books back in January and loved them both. All I Want Is Everything, was even better then the first two and so far my favorite, out of the Gossip Girl series. To me, it seemed like there was more going on in this book then first two, it captured my attention more and I didn’t want to put the book down till I finished up. Even as I finished it, I wanted to pick up next one right away. All I Want Is Everything made be able to connect with character more, and it seemed more realistic. After connecting with character, I needed to know what would happen with them next, what their next adventures will be. I’m excited to check out Because I’m worth it, already have feeling it be as great.

  GOODREADS SUMMARY
It's Christmastime and Blair and Serena are best friends again and up to their old tricks--partying hard and breaking hearts from Park Avenue to the Caribbean. Blair's mom and Cyrus are having their honeymoon in Salt Key. And when school lets out for the holiday, Blair, Serena, Aaron, and company head down there to blow off steam after their midterm exams. In between Pina Coladas and topless sunbathing, Blair and Serena plot revenge on super-jerk Chuck Bass.

Everyone jets back to NYC for Serena's New Year's party, during which Nate and Blair may or may not finally go all the way, and Serena may or may not be discovered to be the secret fling of Hollywood's hottest young leading man.

It seemed that each Gossip Girl novel that I pick up, it seems to get more interesting, and it has more drama going on, more going on. I got to say, I really like Aaron in this book, even thought I didn’t have a problem with him before, and there was something about him that I liked. I think he is just a likable person and I feel like I could connect with him. I did feel sorry for him; I can only imagine how it must felt for him to see Blair with another guy, when it was clear that he was in love with her. I was actually surprised that she didn’t figure that out. I was glad when he and Serena kissed at end of book, he deserved to be happy and maybe that would get his mind off Blair.

Now Nate, I honestly wasn’t all that fond of him in this book. First he dumps Blair for Jenny, then he ditches Jenny after he finds all those paintings of him. I guess I can see why he did that, I still believe that instead ditched her at Serena’s party, he should called her, told her. Way he did it, just didn’t seem right. He did dump Blair for Jenny and then he went back running to Blair. I just got a feeling that he is going be the type of guy that will keep on breaking hearts. He needs figure out who he really wants. I’m hoping that he would stop getting high all the time, I believe none of his relationship will go far if he keeps it up.

Serena kind of irritated me in this book, I am not sure why. I’m actually finding myself liking Blair more than Serena. To me, Blair just seemed more realistic which Serena seemed bit too cheery all the time. My favorite part of book, was setting along with Gossip Girl, I loved reading those. I was curious what is going to be discovered there next. These books are enjoyable read and I am looking forward to next one. I’m especially eager see what happens with Blair, if Nate and Blair would actually end up back together.

Will Grayson, Will Grayson , another amazing work by John Green. It seems to me that Green amazes me each time with his talent. I haven’t read anything by David Levithan before reading this book; I’m planning to after reading this book. His writing style was unique. In general this novel was unique and it was different from other John Green novels that I have read in past. There was some slow parts, mostly in beginning, it did pick up after few pages. After it picked up, it got hard for me to put the book down, every aspect of the book kept me on edge of my seat. If you are a John Green fan, I would recommend reading this book.

Story follows two boys, who both go by Will Grayson. First Will Grayson is a friend of Tiny Cooper who tries to go with his life, unnoticed. However with a friend like Tiny Cooper, it’s hard to go unnoticed, especially when he decided do musical, based of his life. Then there is will grayson, who suffers from depression and only thing that seems make him happy in life is Isaac, a guy that he meets online.

Eventually, two of them decided to meet, in Chicago. It’s the meeting that causes two Will have to cross paths. The night that will discovers that Isaac was made up by his friend, Maura. That is just when the two of them run across one another. The meeting changes both of their lives, in most unexpected way.

I loved the general idea of this book, especially Tiny’s musical. The musical was one of things I was looked forward to; I wanted to see how it would turn out. I found myself loving Tiny from beginning, even thought not many others seemed to, even Will seemed to be embarrassed to be his friend at times. I loved his outgoing attitude, loved the fact that no matter what happened, he kept on going. I was kind of hoping he found someone, to make him even happier. I was glad to see when other will grayson came along, it seemed to make him happy and make him more confident. However, it seemed to caused problems between him and the other Will. I was glad that they worked it out in the end. Though I wish that Tiny and other will got back in the end. I could see how much change Tiny gone through the book.

Now, I love both John & David’s writing style, I could see the different in their styles. I saw the way John wrote his character and way David did his. What I thought was unique was how David’s character was all in lower case, and how most of conversation was as if characters were texting among each other. The way it was written, was something I haven’t seen before, not in the other novels that I have read. I could clearly tell difference between two Will’s, while one was depressed, the other one tried hard to go unnoticed. Honestly, I preferred lower case will more, he just seemed more interested to read about, even though other Will grew on me after a while. I loved seeing, comparing the realthionship they both had with Tiny and how in end, they both ended up truly caring for Tiny.

Ending, that made me smile. I loved the fact how his friends got together, to surprise Tiny like that at the end of the musical, having a response from people like he hoped they would. It made me happy for him, besides will, he was my other favorite character. He deserved a happy ending. I am glad I picked this book up, it was worth checking out. John Green is one of authors that haven’t disappointed me; there hasn’t been single book I didn’t like. I am checking out rest and more of David Levithan novels, I am curious about his other works.

I had always enjoyed historical fiction; there was something about those novels that captures my attention. Fever 1793 was one of the best historical fictions I read. I have learned about yellow fever in the past but this book gave me even more knowledge. I had no idea how much people were actually affected by it. Not only was this an interesting novel but it was also educational. So far Laurie Halse Anderson hasn’t disappointed me. I have been fan of her since reading Speak in high school, for English class in 2006. I think that this is the book that everyone should read, even adults.

Fever 1793 is based off actual yellow fever epidemic that hit Philadelphia in 1793. The book takes place in late summer of 1793 when the rumors of fever first began. At first nobody thought anything of it, assuming that it was all rumors till more people got sick, more people died. That includes Polly, the serving girl at Cook Coffeehouse and Mattie’s old friend. However Mattie doesn’t even get chance to mourn her death, when people begin show up at her family’s coffeehouse, in order to get away mosquito infested river.

Soon Mattie’s mother falls ill with fever, and Mattie and her grandfather flee, to stay in country but never make it that far. That causes troubles for both her and her grandfather as they attempt to survive. Two of them eventually make it back home, but when they do, they find everything destroyed by yellow fever and the coffeehouse broken into. After another tragedy strikes, Mattie tries finding the courage to go on, to manage the coffeehouse.

Fever 1793 is a fourth novel I read by Anderson. Once again, Anderson didn’t disappoint me. Even thought I enjoyed Speak more, I would highly recommend this book. One of things I liked in this book is of course the historical aspect of it. I enjoyed learning about how the yellow fever started and how it had affected everyone. Even if I did learn about it when I was still in school, I didn’t actually think that anyone survived the fever, I had thought that anyone who got it would die at some point. So I was surprised to see that some people made it through the fever. Second, had no idea how sick people got when they actually got the fever. I loved the aspect that Anderson added at the end of the book, about the actual fever. I felt like I knew more about Yellow Fever, then before I started reading the book.

Mattie: I loved her right for the start, I loved everything about her. One of the things that I adored about her was her determination. Even with everything that she had gone through, with her mother getting sick, her grandfather dying and being all by herself, she didn’t give up. Even when she caught the yellow fever, she had made it through. Also when her grandfather was sick, how she tried everything, to try find their way back home. Once he died, way she decided to run the coffeehouse, with partner when her mother wasn’t around. I think of her as very strong character, even with everything she had lost. She kept on going. Not every 14 year old can do that, especially with everything she gone through.

There were some part that didn’t capture my attention that much and reason I gave it 4 stars, but I did enjoy most aspect of the book. One of novels that is worth checking out.

I discovered Roadside Assistance while at library. I was looking for some books to read, and cover and the title is actually what caught my attention. I only had enough time to skim the summary but decided to get it anyways. I wasn’t disappointed, I found myself loving the novel more than I thought I would. I wasn’t aware that there would be religious aspect till I started reading it. I had read 2 religion based books before but that was years ago. However this one was different and I actually found myself enjoying it a lot. I found it hard to put the book down, mostly because there was always something going on and I wanted to see what path Emily would take next. I wanted see how it would get resolved. Roadside Assistance is a novel worth checking out.

Emily Curtis’s life falls apart the moment that her mother falls ill, and dies. Emily and her father are driven away from their home, by the hospital bills that they can’t afford to pay. Two of them pack their things and move in with Darlene, her father’s sister and their daughter, Whitney. However Darlene attempts to make Emily more girly, like her cousin Whitney, who to Darlene’s eyes is perfect. It causes for Emily feel out of place.

Then Emily heard the engine of 1970 Dodge Challenger, from their next door neighbor, Zander. The two of them establish a bond, working on fixing his car, together and Emily finds herself grow attracted to him, the attraction she tries to ignore. Even working alongside Zander, can’t seem to fix her broken heart or the fact that she started lose her faith since her mother. Her doubt in God is something nobody seems to understand, not even Zander.

Out of all characters in the novel, I found myself being able to connect to Emily the most. Even though I’m not religious like Emily was, I still believe in god. There were times when I lost my grandmother that I found myself about having doubts about God too, like Emily did, I found myself wondering how he could let that happen. I also could imagine the pain she must felt for having lost her mother, since like her, I lost my grandmother to cancer too. Somehow I felt like that reason I could connect with Emily, because I could imagine what she was going through. I was glad that at least she had someone who was there, such as Chelsea, Zander and even Whitney. I could tell how much they tried to help her and I know they were one of the reasons, that she was able to make it through.

The Letters: those were my favorite through the book. I adored the letter that she wrote to her mother, the way that she expressed her emotions through letters. By reading those letters, I felt like I got to know Emily more and it made me imagine her pain. Those letters made me tear up each single time because I could tell how much pain Emily was in. I was kind of hoping that she would tell to someone, talk to someone else besides her, like Chelsea, Zander or even Whitney. They were beautifully written, with a lot of emotions.

Whitney & Zander: Besides Emily, they were my other two favorite characters. I got say, in beginning I wasn’t too sure how I felt about Whitney but then when I saw how she constantly tried to help Emily, way she even defend her against her grandmother, and telling her mother the way she was treating Emily wasn’t right. I loved that about her, how much she cared about her and her feelings. I love the fact even though Whitney was popular, she was different, and she actually was caring unlike most of popular kids in books I read before, who always turn out bullies. Now Zander what is there not like about him? He was sweet. I loved how he tried helping Emily even after only knowing her for short period of time. One thing I didn’t like was way he kept getting her faith back to god; I think he should let it do it at her own pace, not push it at her. I loved friendship between two of them, I found myself waiting for them to make up after that fight they had.

Even though I loved most of the book, there was one aspect I didn’t enjoy as much, reason I didn’t quite gave it 5 stars. It seemed that almost every person, besides Emily that is, seemed pretty religious. Whitney, Zander. I have nothing against religion but to me, that seemed a bit unrealistic. Also the way Emily went from not talking, to kissing, seemed bit too cheesy. Otherwise, I loved this book and glad I picked it up.

Chloe Neill astonished me again. Reading Chicagoland Vampires makes me wish that I had discovered the series sooner. Each book, each page keeps me on the edge of my seat. After reading Twice Bitten , Chicagoland Vampires became one of my favorite series. Out of all books I read so far, Twice Bitten has been my favorite so far, the best out of the series so far. This book had more action going on and there wasn’t a page in this book, that didn’t kept me wonder what’s going to happen next. The ending made me eager to pick up Hard Bitten , to see what happens next, especially with Ethan & Merit. If you enjoyed the first two books, Twice Bitten is worth checking out.

GOODREADS SUMMARY
Shapeshifters from across the country are convening in the Windy City, and as a gesture of peace, Master Vampire Ethan Sullivan has offered their leader a very special bodyguard: Merit, Chicago's newest vampire. Merit is supposed to protect the Alpha, Gabriel Keene-and to spy for the vamps while she's at it. Oh, and luckily Ethan's offering some steamy, one-on-one combat training sessions to help her prepare for the mission.

Unfortunately, someone is gunning for Gabriel, and Merit soon finds herself in the line of fire. She'll need all the help she can get to track down the would-be assassin, but everywhere she turns, there are rising tensions between supernaturals-not least between her and a certain green-eyed, centuries-old master vampire.

It seemed that in Twice Bitten, Merit found herself in more dangerous situation than in previous novels. To me, it seemed anytime she and Ethan were guarding Gabriel, something would go wrong and they would end up getting shot at. It was mysterious at the same, the shooting because it happened anytime the alphas were at some sort of meeting. For a while, I was pretty sure that Tony was ordering the hits so I found myself surprised when he ended up dead. Adam was the last person I expected it to be. However I did feel there was something not right about way he was acting around Merit, towards the end. I found myself wondering what he was up to. I was glad that Merit managed to figure all that out or otherwise things wouldn’t ended well for her. Those were totally twists that I didn’t see coming.

Twice Bitten had more romance added to the storyline, between Ethan and Merit. It seemed that there was even more tension between the two of them, even after they acted upon their feelings. Thought I wasn’t happy with Ethan for sleeping with her, then dumping her. Yet, I could tell how he cared about her, despite what he told her. Of course I could see the tension rise more between two of them after he dumped, I was waiting to see if he change his mind. I was eager to see what happen between them next and when nothing did, it actually made me feel frustrated. Of course the ending, left me hanging and now I am even more eager to see what happens between two of them in next book. I do hope both of them finally come to their senses.

In general, Twice Bitten didn’t disappoint me. It was filled with action, and there quite bit fighting involved and it kept me on edge of my seat. Plus the tension between Vampires and Shapeshifters caused me to wonder what’s going happen between them next, if there even be peace between them, and how people will react to shapeshifters, now that they know they exist?

Friday Night Bites, a second book in Chicagoland Vampires. I got to say, I found myself being fascinated with this novel more than Some Girls Bite. To me it seemed that it was filled with more mystery through the novel, more action. You can see development in characters as well, especially with Merit. Top of that, there is much more action and tension between some of characters, especially Merit & Ethan. After reading Friday Night Bites, Chicagoland Vampires has become one of my favorite series. It’s very well written and there is always something going on. Also the book keep you wondering, keep you in turning the book, to see what happens. If I could give this book more than 5 stars, I would. I will totally be checking out rest of series. I need to know what happens next with Merit, Ethan, Meredith and Catcher. It series worth checking out.

GOODREADS SUMMARY
Ten months after vampires revealed their existence to the mortals of Chicago, they're enjoying a celebrity status usually reserved for the Hollywood elite. But should people learn about the Raves mass feeding parties where vampires round up humans like cattle the citizens will start sharpening their stakes.

So now it's up to the new vampire Merit to reconnect with her upper class family and act as liaison between humans and bloodsuckers, and keep the more unsavory aspects of the vampire lifestyle out of the media. But someone doesn't want peace between them someone with an ancient grudge.

Despite how Ethan and Merit seem to get on each other nerves (most of time) I love Ethan and Merit even more and I’m kind of hoping that they would stop being so stubborn, about their attraction. In Friday Night Bites, I could tell how much attraction; desire was between the two of them Honestly, I always looked towards those scenes. Though I felt bad for Morgan, I didn’t feel like she was being fair to him, I felt like her and Ethan have more of bond. To me it felt that something was missing between Merit and Morgan, there was anything there, at least not for Merit. I could tell that Morgan cared for her, more then she cared for him. Of course I wished that they would leave on better terms. I am hoping that both Ethan and Merit will come to terms in next book, I feel like they should be together even if they opposite from one another. I’m eager to see what happens between two of them next.

Friday Night Bites had a more mysterious twist added to it. There was not a single page in the book that didn’t grab my attention. Actually the more I read the more eager I wanted to find out what’s going to happen next. I was curious all through the book that the traitor was and in way I found myself feeling sorry for Ethan, someone already betrayed him once, I can only imagine how it felt to be betrayed once again. It’s making me wonder who is going to betray him next, but I am kind of hoping that nobody would. But being one of his guards, that is the twist that I didn’t see coming at all. That what I love about this series, there twists that you don’t see coming. Also parts that leave you wondering. Character development, I saw quite of that in here. Honestly, Merit annoyed me quite bit in first book; she was constantly complaining in that book, I found myself wanting to yell at her. But in this book, I saw how much she progress, the long way that she came. I found myself liking her much more in this book. To me, she seemed to became much stronger person, much more confident about herself, even if there was still some things she wasn’ t that confident about. Now, all she needs confidence about is Ethan. I love the bond she created with Lindsey, it’s not like I don’t like Meredith, I just think she needed another person she can trust, share her secrets with and it’s good, considering they live in same house and work together.

If you love romance, vampires with some action and mystery, be sure to check out the series. It’s worth your time.

I came across Mister Death’s Blue Eyed Girls , while surfing on Goodreads for some books. Title was what captured me first, it sounded mysterious and it made me curious what the book was about. Once I read the description, I knew that it was my type of book. The fact that it was based on real life crime that happened in Hahn hometown, captured my attention even more. I loved the author’s note at end, way she compared what was different about the book and what really happened, how she dealt with it. I was totally engaged in the novel, the minute I picked it up and till I finished it. It was different from other mystery, thriller novels that I read, it seemed more realistic to me. I totally recommend this book if you enjoy mysteries.

Based on true events, in 1950’s. It June 1956 and school is about to end for the summer. Nora along with her friends are enjoying freedom by partying, drinking, having no idea that things about to take a drastic turn. In town where nothing happens till next day when Cheryl and Bobbi Jo are found dead in woods, shot while walking to last day of school.

The whole town in shaken up and the whole town believe that Cheryl’s ex boyfriend Buddy is one responsible for their murder. At first Nora agrees with everyone but then she begins to believe that he’s innocent. During that time, she also finds herself questioning her faith, her beliefs.

Mister Death’s Blue Eyed Girls was pretty intense read. I felt myself being able to easily connect to each character but especially Nora. Reading from her point of view, I could tell that it seemed to be the hardest on Nora or at least it seemed like it at times. To be able to deal with it and how she kept thinking that it could been her and Ellie as well, it seemed to me like she had a hard time letting it go. I thought she truly liked Charlie but then after she started spending time with Buddy, I felt some sort of connection between the two of them, the type of connection she didn’t seem to have with Charlie, I think with Charlie it was more physical attraction. I had a feeling that he was using her just for that. I was glad that at least Nora believed that Buddy didn’t kill Cheryl and Bobbi Jo and I think it’s reason that their connection was special.

What I thought made novel more appealing, more interesting to read was that it was from multiple point of views, not Nora’s. I found interesting to see it from Buddy’s point of view, what his thoughts were and it was because of that, I knew he couldn’t killed Cheryl, even if he was angry with her, he loved her. I felt angry at everyone for assuming that he was one who killed her, just because he was angry with Cheryl at party. In way I feel it Cheryl’s doing too, if she didn’t tell Ellie that Buddy gave her that black eye, maybe nobody would assumed him. Besides reading from Buddy’s point of view, I also enjoyed reading it from Mister Death’s, because I was curious why he killed them. Even thought I understood that he was hurt for them picking on him, I still believe that it was no reason for him to kill them; I keep hoping that he would get caught somehow.

I loved the relationship that formed between Buddy and Nora, I was happy that they had one another and fact that Buddy had somehow that actually believed his innocence. Fact how she called him those years later when she found who real killer been. It showed him even after years passed, she still cared for him and he deserved to have someone to care for him. I just wished it happened sooner, the real killer was discovered so Buddy wouldn’t leave, maybe something would develop between him and Nora.

Even if it was intense, I enjoyed most aspects of book. The beginning started out little bit slow for me but it picked up pretty fast. It was filled with a lot of suspense and kept you engaged, kept you on reading. I’m hoping she writes more young adult mysteries, I would totally be checking them out.

I been wanting to read The Catastrophic History of You and Me, when I came across it on Goodreads back in February. Cover and title captured my attention first and I found myself wondering about it, so I read the description. When I read the summary, I already knew that it was the type of the book I’m going to love. However, for the longest time, it wasn’t at library and I didn’t have the money to buy it. I was glad when it finally appeared at the library. The Catastrophic History of You And Me ended up being more heartbreaking then I thought it would be. I found myself tearing up multiple times in this book, and yet unable to put it down. I felt myself being able to connect with characters and found myself wondering if Brie would be able to move on. This was an amazing Debut novel and I am looking forward to her other novels.

Brie’s life was everything she wanted to be. She had a great family, three amazing best friends and a boyfriend who loved her, or so she thought. But days before her sixteen birthday, her boyfriend, Jacob told her he didn’t love her. Those were words that broke Brie’s heart and killed her. It didn’t matter that her heart seemed to be health; those were the words that made her heart stop beating.

Brie is having hard time accepting that she actually dead, and having hard time adjusting. It’s then when she meets Patrick, a lost soul and her tour guide who attempts to guide her through 5 stages. However Brie refuses to listen to him. Meanwhile back home, Brie finds out that bother her best friend and Jacob been keeping a secret from her, causing her to feel, betrayed. Brie finds herself having hard time getting through 5 stages of grief. How do you move on, when your heart is in pieces?

What I enjoyed about this book, the fact that the twists that were put into the story, were the ones that I didn’t see coming at all. The one with Patrick and Brie and their past life together, I did not see that coming. I remember being in shock when I read that last sentence in that chapter. I was in same situation that Brie was, wondering how that was even possible. Then I found myself seeing why Patrick was treating Brie, the way he did. To me in made sense why he wasn’t giving up. Another twist was when Brie went back to relieve that day, I found myself surprised that she was actually was able to change some things. Jacob’s secret, to me that was the most shocking secret of all, I did not see that, him being gay was last secret I though he have. I found myself feeling bad for him, especially when he was writing the suicide letter; I teared up and hoped that there was way that Brie could find way to help him. I enjoy novels like that when the least unexpected twists occur; it makes want keep on reading.

Brie: I found myself loving her character from beginning. I felt like I could relate to her character. I have lost someone very close to me, multiple times so I been through same thing, the 5 stages of grief and it was as hard for me to go through it. It was for that reason that I found myself to be easily to relate to Brie. I felt sorry for Brie too, even if she was fictional character, I wanted to help her. I was glad that at least Patrick was there and tried to help her, even if she pushed him away most of time. I did wish that she would let him help her more than she did. I knew it made it harder for her, to see how people were dealing with her death, how hard it was for her to watch. I know even though she attempted to deny it, there was an attraction between her and Patrick. I was happy to see for her to be able to move on towards the end.

Patrick: I loved his attitude, the fact how much he cared about Brie from the moment two of them met. He was the type of the guy I would want, I would know would be the one. No matter what, no matter how Brie acted, he was always there when she needed someone, when she broke down; he was the one to hold her while she cried. I was hoping for her to realize that Patrick truly cared about her; at times I was even frustrated with her for not seeing it sooner. I loved how Patrick called her Angel, no matter what, it made me smile every single time. Their fights, they made me laugh and that’s what I loved about this book was the added humor as well.

I love the music that was mentioned within the novel as well. I will totally be checking out her future works. Her writing hooks you right on.

Wow, once again Rachel Caine left me speechless. There hasn’t been a single Morganville Vampires book that didn’t amaze me. There was something about Black Dawn that amazed me even more than the other books. It seems to me, like each book gets filled with more action. Black Dawn totally drew me into the story, I didn’t even realize the time passing by because I was so observed in the book. I found myself feeling that I needed to know what happened, even if this is fantasy, Caine brought a story to life for me, she set a great scenery. Black Dawn was probably one of the darkest novels out of all Morganville Vampires and there were quite few emotional, scary scenes. I’m looking forward to reading Bitter Blood .

  GOODREADS SUMMARY
Ever since the draug--mysterious creatures that prey on vampires--took over Morganville, the lives of student Claire Danvers and her friends have been thrown into turmoil. Most of the town's residents have evacuated, but Claire, Shane, Eve and Michael have chosen to stay and fight. Using the city's water system to spread, the draug have rapidly multiplied.

Things in Morganville look grim, especially since vampire Amelie--the town founder--has been infected by the master draug's bite. Now, if Claire and her friends don't figure out how to cure Amelie and defeat the draug, it looks like Morganville will become little more than a ghost town.

I knew, from the moment I saw the title Black Dawn that it was going to be a dark book, the title was already mysterious and the cover too. It fit the story well too. Black Dawn was one of the creepiest books I read, out of the Morganville Vampire books that are out already. I found myself freaked out more than once, by the events that happened in the book, and the way Caine described everything, I found myself imagining it. I loved that the books was written from multiple point of views, I felt like I got to know each character even more then I did before. Claire, Shane had always been my favorite characters, couple and after reading this book, I found myself loving them even more. It was clear in this book, how in love they were, even if they had their off moments through the book. In end, there were still there for one another.

Shane: I loved him since first book and I felt horrible for his in this book. I found my heart breaking for him on multiple occasions on this book, when he looked so broken, so lost. I had always thought of Shane as strong, so it was heartbreaking to see him this broken in this book. I found myself actually wanting to hug him, to try and make it better for him. When draug first got him, I seriously though he was gone, I thought that there was no way he made through it. That’s why I’m glad he has Claire, if it wasn’t for her, for her dedication, he would be gone. I was happy to see him back his usual self towards the end. However I know he wouldn’t, if it wasn’t for Claire. I loved how much she was there for him, even when he wasn’t acting like himself. I could tell that what they have is true love. I enjoyed the fact that a lot portion focused on them. I’m curious what’s going happen between Claire and Shane, if they will get married. I am hoping they would.

Eve & Michael: my heart broke for them too. I seriously was starting to think that things wouldn’t go back to normal between the two of them, especially how they were acting for most part of the book, the way Eve moved away, jumped when Michael touched her. I felt like Eve wasn’t fair to him, first she avoids talking about and when he talks about it, she gets angry. When she stabbed him, just to prove point, I was shocked; I did not see that coming and couldn’t believe that she actually stabbed him. I seriously didn’t think they would get married, that’s why the ending surprised me but I am glad that they got their happy after. Of course now I am curious to see how they handle married life.

Black Dawn kept me on edge of seat, till very end. It kept me wondering if they going defeat, I even wondered if Shane will ever be okay. If Eve and Michael will make it. If Amelie will live. There were quite few twists that I didn’t see coming. I found myself tearing up, few times, especially for Shane right after he came back, for him, for Claire for seeing him like that. I found myself holding my breath at some scenes. I got say this was intense novel and so far, a favorite.

5 STARS

I have read The Lucky One multiple times, yet it still amazes me each time. The writing, the story, the characters. I find myself diving right into the story, even if I had read the story more than once, even if I know what’s going be happen next. I got admit, this is one of my favorite Nicholas Sparks novels, and it’s filled with a lot of action. The more I read the book, the more I found myself being hooked to the story. I found myself wanting to see what’s going happen next, especially with Thibault and Beth. After reading this book again, I’m even more eager to see the movie, I want see how close to book it is, but I heard it’s pretty good. If you are a romance fan or Nicholas fan, this is worth checking out.

During his 3rd tour in Iraq, U.S Marine Logan Thibault stumbled across a photograph of a young woman. First, Thibault posts on the bulletin but when nobody claims it, he finds himself taking it, keeping it in his pocket. Soon after, Thibault begins to experience luck, including surviving explosions during combats that kill two of his closest friends. Everyone begins to treat him differently, expect for his best friend Victor who begins to believe that the photograph is his lucky charm.

Back in Colorado, Thibault finds it almost impossible to get the women in the photograph, out of his mind. He finds himself setting on the journey, to find her. When Thibault arrives to Hampton, North Carolina and comes across women in photograph, Elizabeth he never imagines feeling the attraction he begins to feel for her, along with bond he develops with her young son. Thibault keeps the photograph and his luck a secret from Elizabeth, and soon finds himself falling in love with her. How long will he be able keep his secret till it’s exposed? A secret that threatens their love.

I loved that his story was from Thibault, Clayton and Beth’s point of view. I think that writing from each of their perspectives, got me to know each of them better. I knew right from start that I loved Thibault and Beth and disliked Clayton from beginning till practically end of the novel. I got to one each of their personalities more, and I felt myself rooting for some of characters and I had wanted for Beth and Thibault to get together from beginning and wanting for Clayton to let it go, to leave them alone but mostly to leave Beth alone.

Thibault & Clayton: As I mentioned earlier, I loved Thibault character right from start. Reason that I loved him was mostly his attitude, his actions and his dedication that he had all through the novel. There were some decisions that he made that I had feeling would end badly for him, in the end. For instance, I think he should tell Beth about photograph from beginning or at least returned it to her. I do agree with Beth on that, it wasn’t his to keep. I got feeling if he did do that, maybe things would been better between them and maybe she wouldn’t gotten into that argument with Keith. Yet, I could see why he did it. I loved that he seemed the one person who seemed be able to stand up to Keith, not scared of him. I could tell that he really cared for Beth and Ben, and was hoping that Keith would see that. I was happy that they ended up together at end. Clayton, I didn’t like anything about him, right from first page, he seemed to think because he was deputy, that he could do anything he pleased, including scaring every guy Beth went out with. I actually had a feeling that he didn’t even care about Ben, the way he treated him when he came over. Also way he tried telling Beth at the end, what to do, no guy should treat women the way he treated her. To me, he seemed to obsessive over her, her life. However, at the end he earned some of my respect when he went to save Ben, how he died, saving Ben. I actually felt bit sad when he did. I just wish he came to his sense, before that.

Beth & Thibault: I knew there was attraction between two of them, right from start. Especially when he stopped when he had found her, the way he looked at her. Even if she didn’t admit it, I knew that she felt attracted to him too. I don’t think it was fair for her to judge him, when he first showed up because he was a marine. I enjoyed the scenes between her and Thibault, I could see from first time they spend time together that there were sparks between the two of them, especially as time passed by I knew that she looked forward to spending time with him. It seemed to me that anytime the two of them were together, they were always having fun. I knew that they would fall time with no time. Once they did, it made me smile because I could tell how much they loved each other, I was happy that Beth was finally able to find someone who was there for her, loved her for who she was.

I loved fact that there was not only romance but some action, some thriller added to the story. It’s one of the reasons that the book kept my attention. Nicholas Sparks is one of authors worth checking out if you are into romance, he always makes you wanting to read more. I always look forward to his books.
